Being a fan of shows from the Golden Age of Radio growing up, love the audio drama format for Star Wars. Also, being visually impaired, love that almost all the Star Wars novels have an audio book form as well.

It’s mostly because of right-wing Star Wars youtubers feeding their ravenous hordes of mindless “fans” misinformation and promoting hate.

@@sirmarshall9521 hate to admit it, but I used to be like that. I’m glad I saw through all that crap and turned the corner. I’m actually enjoying the High Republic so far. I’m still not happy with how the sequel trilogy turned out, but I’m hopeful that a clone wars style show for the sequels will change my mind. Plus I won’t put down anyone that enjoys the sequels.

I have listened to all The High Republic through Audible. I am currently halfway through Tempest Runner and I'm enjoying it so far. I am actually surprised how much I'm enjoying these as audiobooks as I am a very visual learner as well.

There's a lot to be excited about with Tempest Runner, and it didn't disappoint me. The story was very engaging, as Cavan Scott continues to add much-appreciated complexity to the Nihil (both as a group and on a personal level.)
Even just hearing Marchion Ro again, as Lourna Dee and Avar Kriss (with female voices) was awesome. (And Burry!)
I guess that proves I'm invested. I'm looking forward to what's next!

I’ve just started listening and really enjoying it so far, but I used to listen to radio dramas as a kid so really dig this style. Dooku: Jedi Lost was thoroughly enjoyable, Tempest Runner is no exception! I’m a massive fan of Marc Thompson’s voices for Ro and Eyta, so glad they kept him in those roles. And like Light of the Jedi and Into the Dark, it contains more music I composed so there’s another plus!

Something very important happens between Ro and his father in this book, as well we learned who really kills Asgar Ro... plus it brings Pan's story to a dramatic closure too. There is a lot to learn about the Nihil in this book that will set us up for Phase 2.

      "Ironic."
That's pretty funny, but it does make sense that he can still see the value in this medium despite it not being the best-suited to him personally.
I, like Alex, struggle to retain information without visuals, but the audiobook for Light of the Jedi is truly exceptional and is brought to life so well that its first act is one of my favourite SW experiences ever💜

I think I'm the same as Alex, I've never been one for audiobooks. But I am giving this a try as Lourna is a great character.

Dooku: Jedi Lost was my first audiobook experience but I really struggled with it until I ordered the script and I was able to enjoy the production of the audiobook as I read along (not to mention the joy of being able to add it to my physical collection). I'll continue to do that with all the audiobooks/scripts released, I just wish they'd release them together.

Just finished and immediately jumped over here. I used your link to download the book in this is my first Audio Drama, I guess I am not a big fan of Audio Drama as I prefer the novels and Comics more. The constantly jumping back and forth was confusing because you had to rely on Audible Clues and characters to know if you were in the future or past. Overall it feels like nothing is different other than tying up one loose thread from the rising storm which I won't spoil

I agree that I prefer books over audiobooks, but the Star Wars audiobooks have been enjoyable (with Dr. Aphra being the standout for me). This was a good story and Lorna is one of the more interesting Nihil characters, so I enjoyed learning more about her. I wonder if we'll see Sal again in the future.

everytime you mention how much was added to the audio"books" of these i get disappointed. i cant get into them when added sound effects and music, gets super distracting. though i tend to not even like when audiobooks have multiple narrators too.
