Things I have learned from watching Miami Boat Ramps: 1. Always get more truck than you think you will need, preferably a 4wd. 2. Never come into the dock faster than you are willing to hit it. 3 watch the marker buoys coming in or you will hit the sand bar/rocks and be stuck. 4. Have lines and fenders ready in advance, but be ready to swap sides quickly. 5. Check everything, trim lines etc. 6. Check it again, you clearly missed something. 7. Most important of all, and you dont need a boat for this one: Go down to the docks and watch, its better than watching TV sitcoms!!!

@@Adui13 They have plenty of money. They just don't want to spend any of it on YOU. Case in point: President Xi's visit to San Francisco. Magically, overnight, they showed they were perfectly capable of cleaning up the city. But that's only for foreign dictators, not their paltry constituents.
People don't want to pay Income/State Taxes, so Public Things are always neglected

The first black f150 was 2 wheel drive , that's our old truck, new one is 4x4
I really do wonder how the fuck people like this have a well paying consistent job lol.
I think I would add a push broom to the boat to clean up some of the slippery weeds on the ramp.
Is it just me, or do a large percentage of Floridian's have heavy boats and 2 wheel drive trucks? LOL Keep spinin' !
Sometimes turning the traction control off helps because your wheel speed is not reduced by the computer. I mean years ago when I grew up we did not have traction control and few people had 4wd.
For two-wheel drive vehicles a little parking brake and low gear helps enormously
What kind of boat license practical test do you have there?
That lifted Ford with the silly tires and wheels on it would have been hilarious to see sinking underwater.
Those vehicles with the big rims and rubber bands fitted to them look absolutely ridiculous and are useless off road.
Pretty much all cars in Florida are AWD for one reason but trucks, all 2WD.... Mad

I dont understand how you can spend nearly 100k on your boat but wont spend the extra 4k for four wheel drive in your truck. Sooner or later you will need 4x4.

Question. Couldn’t one just carry some 2x4 pieces to stick in front of the tires to get some grip? Or is that silly, not allowed, etc?
A better Ramp Surface, designed like sharp Mountain Ranges, would put a Higher PSI Contact on the Tire, and lessen the Wheel Spin

This is why Australian Boat ramps are better because they have taken thought into the grip your Ute needs to get out of the water

The commentary on the video is the most painful part. 1) the goal is to get the trailer close to the dock (multiple times there was commentary about getting the trailers too close to the dock and they weren’t), 2) talking about a “hump” on the ramp that the trucks were having a hard time getting over. That “hump” was some kind of algae growing on the ramp making it very slick. Appears the water receded and exposed that part making it difficult for all the tow vehicles. Definitely benefited to have 4wd.
People are so silly. My dad was right when he taught me about these kinds of people.
We had canoes and had way more fun. These types of people don't know about real life. Big boats, big money, big waste of time, big noise...
Get a canoe. they are better in every single way.
