I saw this on Netflix really such an eye opener I am Clinician trained in Western Medicine. We’re always discouraged to discuss alternative Medicine. I started my own research after I was diagnosed with an Autoimmune disease. I couldn’t find any cure in my Medical books and thats when I returned back to my Eastern roots and find healing in Spirituality. My mom is a Sufi Muslim and She taught me so much. I was completely off my meds. Don’t give up the cure is out there, sometimes we get lost in material World so much that we lose our spiritual self, the self that has a power to heal and love . Love you all, stay blessed. Lovely Documentary.

@Umberto Staccioli nature is medicine! They show it being used in therapy and supervised. I would do more research. I agree it isn't for everyone but feel if you were meant to ever experience it in life, it will find it's way to you.

For several years I took an annual camping trip way out to the middle of nowhere (with friends for safety) and used mushrooms.
I haven't gone in years and I feel like I'm going insane, it was truly therapeutic. Though, doing them in nature and far from help can be risky, so bring friends and do it in a rotation or seperate groups so nobody rows themselves into the middle of a lake...
It was such a special experience, with each time being different. One time I went for a long hike, another I just sat by the water and watched the ripples spread across the placid water, etc. It's a special place to me and I want to be scattered there someday, all thanks to shrooms.
@Jessica P could you explain maybe why it's not for everyone - could it affect someone in a really negative way? Or if you know how to explain who it could be for and who should avoid trying? I'm reading everywhere only that it isn't for everyone, but how does someone know if it is for them or not? When you say psilocybin has made a difference for you, are you refering to microdosing? How?! I used mushrooms for a whole year and I am so reliefed I stopped..... I am too scared to even think about them I am confused what did I do wrong
I am from Yunnan Province, China, which has 36% of the world's edible mushroom species and provides over 70% of the wild edible mushrooms in China. The love of wild mushrooms is in our bones and I am very impressed that there is a film that introduces the wonders and charms of wild mushrooms.
I live in SW France, in a small village, lost in the forest. A few months ago, I curated an exhibit on mushroom illustrations and hosted a viewing of this film. The audience loved it. Yesterday, I ran in to someone who had been at the event. He told me that the film had changed his life -for the better of course.
Just wanted to say thanks for helping to bring the importance of mushrooms to our little corner of the world.

@@borishasarrived5524 If you wish to understand how the (natural) Earth came into existence and how nature actually works (much better than anything they teach in school), then yes.
At the age of 13, i underwent spinal surgery that led me with some disabilities i thought i could never live by.
I tried schooling, some work around 24 and ultimately being an alcoholic for the rest of my life.
I was left with incontinence, erectile dysnfuction and premature ejaculation + plus generally bad childhood and an abusive stepdad.
For years ive suffered internally and of course the given, depression, anxiety, ocd and such.
I really thought at 30 id never heal. Sometimes i can find some fake motivation and will ultimately lead to the deeper throes of depression but not until shrooms came to my life.
All the fears and repressed feelings was given face.
All i had to do was submit myself to the journey or trip without snapping out of it.
I woke up after that trip like a newborn.
I've never felt so amazing in my life before.
Somehow or someway, these magical fungis will find you in time of need.
This amazing film should be seen by everyone.

Biology and environmental science classes really struggle to explain much of anything without this film.
It's like a fundamental scientific framework, full of principles, systems, and more, that explains life on Earth in much better detail than almost anything else I've ever seen.
The best movie. It changed my view of live forever. I'm not a guy who was doing much with nature etc but when i watched this i cried and everything changed. (Yes im serious)

I have killed my fungi net(in garden) using chemical fertilizers but when i started to do liquid organic fertilizers, something beyond my compreension starts. The soil is literally alive, and i never had plants that bealtiful. Micoriza miracle.

I believe we are more connected than people realise, look at the brain for instance or a nervous system, shaped like how a fungus would attach/grow..
Even how neurons are layed out and function , remind me of fungal structures..
When I look at space to me it kinda looks like spores floating around the fact that so many objects seem to behave In similar ways wether it's on earth or beyond really is intriguing and deserves to be investigated...

I have never been so excited to see anything as I am to see this movie. Paul's lectures on youtube and info on his websites has improved so many aspects of my life. As I sit drinking my turkey tail tea I foraged myself after watching Paul's videos giving me the courage to try something new and wonderful. He is the most inspirational, motivational and hyper intelligent organism I have learned about. Today I learned his products are being sold at my local coop produce store. I talked for 30 minutes with the wellness advisor about how wonderful it is to have the products available he has created. The fungi knowledge I have gained from him has increased my awareness of gardening, mycology, relationships, personal health, so much more. He has touch my life in such a positive way. Words can't explain how thankful I am. The world would be a better place if everyone watched Paul's interview with Joe Rogan.

According to Paul Stamets who was interviewed by Joe Rogan, Netflix was not willing to pay enough, to recoup the films costs, so, it will be available more widely after an initial theatrical run.

Us Poles really need to see this, especially with our popular culture of going to the forest for days and picking mushrooms for our bigos, soups and sauces. We'd realize the enormous value and beautiful world of these little guys.
Just by replacing alcohol and cigarettes with shrooms and weed we'd avoid 10k + 60k deaths annually in Poland alone (38m population). Huge potential to help with other current world problems: ecological disaster, religious wars, harmful unaffordable and ineffective medicines & therapies, etc... the simple answers lie in nature 🍄☮️☯️

This is honestly my absolute favorite documentary, but if you were to tell me a couple years ago that they made a documentary about mushrooms I would have looked at you funny. But after watching this documentary it gave me this new perspective and a new love for mushrooms.
