I’ve never heard someone describe how to properly move your mouth to pronounce English words/letter sounds… gawd we rlly taking these things for granted
@@jagurz Well, it is quite common for Japanese to use those kind of words for English 101 when they're traveling abroad. Aikatsu shows a few of them from Ichigo who spent a year in America for her training. For example, "Age Tofu" for "I get Off", "Kamu to Gyoza" for "Come together", "Haba Naisu ne" for "Have a nice day." Also in Detective Conan, there's also "Shiranpuri" which sounded close to "Sit down, please." and they said this word as a way to figure out someone among the suspects who is not a foreigner in a case.
the way i pronounce R in my American accent is actually different to how the "R" in Japanese is pronounced, so i had to learn the correct mouth movement for it but i still catch myself messing up and sounding so aggressively American when i try singing in Japanese and it's so embarrassing lol
“English is no sweat once you get the hang of it” My sweet summer child, this is the same language where you can make a sentence just using the word buffalo
I never actually thought about the other side of learning the R/L. It was hard to me to get a grasp of bow they do it in japan but I never considered how it can be for people living in japan trying to say thesr things seperately.
I’m not learning Japanese but trying to pronounce Japanese character names is so hard bc of the Japanese R 😭 I can’t imagine how hard it would be to pronounce the English R and L tho for a native Japanese speaker
They don’t have l sounds in their language and because of that Japanese have a harder time pronouncing words with l sounds They also don’t have v x q er and th sound for example the word love letter would be pronounced rubu retā
I’m not Japanese. But English is not my native language either I can’t express to you how many people don’t know how hard it is to pronounce any sounds that requires vibration (V, Z, th) Accent wise, I sometimes skip the R sound
You got the hiragana wrong, there's a っ in between the ないand す、so it would be はばないっすで I think if we had an い at the end of it it would sound more like it, my opinion though, works all ways though
@@majoraz_ Well, that might be true. But, if our language wasn't confused when Tower of Babel was constructed, we wouldn't be able to learn to understand, appreciate, and respect each other who hailed from different countries and backgrounds. And, look at us now, we're all from all over the world but we're talking to each other in English and able to understand each other despite we know other languages as well. And, we're able to share our thoughts and cultures with each other where we can see a common ground between us or the uniqueness of each other regarding the same topic. I think that despite we were separated by nation and language, God intended that one day, we'll be able to come together as one and learn to understand and respect each other despite the differences between us.
tbh japanese is probably easier than english to learn if neither is your first language due to the fact pronunciation is actually consistent fuck kanji though

"why can't everyone just speak japanese?" because it has over 2,000 kanji and we can't remember it all? or is it because most of western countries can't read the writing?
Am I the only one who doesn't like Ena's "why can't everyone just speak Japanese?" Like geez biased much? I may sound hypocritical since I've been learning Japanese for years now and I know how hard English is, but couldn't she have just said "why can't everyone speak one language?" And because I feel like I'm going to get replies about this: I would still feel the same if she said it about English instead of Japanese. No language in the world is superior to another. I just don't like the "everyone should speak this language because it's my mother tongue" mindset
That's literally not even what she said there. She said 「日本語で全部意味が通じたらいいのにな...」which roughly translates to "If only everything we mean can be understood using Japanese...", but the English translation completely butchered her intent. For someone who supposedly has "been learning Japanese for years now", you sure don't seem to get the point that well.
