Hope you upgraded the handle on the 6500 as well, the cranking power of that model is ridiculously bad. I put a Battle III 5000 handle on mine by unscrewing the handle joint pin. Feels like a different reel with a nice handle. Almost everyone I see with a 6500 changed the handle so it's obviously no good.
