Part 1: • Michael Jai White on T...
--------
Michael Jai White addressed the long-standing conspiracy theory claiming that Heath Ledger's role as The Joker in "The Dark Knight" led to his untimely death. Many assumed that the darkness of the character consumed Ledger, but White dispelled this myth. He clarified that Ledger was already filming another project when he passed away, highlighting that the actor had been enjoying himself on sets, often engaging in light-hearted activities like performing magic tricks. White emphasized that Ledger didn't stay in character off-camera and was a fun-loving individual. He pointed out the dangers of mixing medications, as Ledger's death was the result of a tragic accidental overdose from combining sleep aids with painkillers.
Dressing up as the Joker on Halloween brought on Diddy's demise.
2Bit from power almost whipped his ass too 😂
Um no being a predator was 😂
😅😅😅
That is not what brought on his demise. Lol
He was spraying baby oil from his flower 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣☠️
Jack Nicholson didn’t have to act to be the Joker. He just had to be himself and played him perfectly.
Who cares?
How did he play the joker perfectly when heath ledger did a better job? Make it make sense
Jack always plays himself
I love Jack but he was average as joker playing yaself means your nit being the character the only reasons 90s cartoon joker exist is cuz of jack
Jack's Number 1
No disrespect to all the other jokers, they did good but heath ledger is number one.
No it’s Jack
Nah Joaquin built on what Heath did with the Joker. You cant be 2nd and 1st im sorry
scary how many people drink and then take sleep medication.
Right 😳
I use to drink on xannys
Ledger had the WORST combination going. Two opiates, two prescribed benzos for anxiety and one of the strongest benzos prescribed for sleep, _plus_ an over-the-counter sleep aid on top. Anybody who can survive that combo for even 1 night is a miracle.
@@joojoobaw you never lied it’s crazy man
if anything conspiracy wise his last role in imaginarium of doctor parnassus was more up that lane. It's trippy asf with all the symbolism. Check it out
I saw the checkerboard pattern on the cover and immediately realized
That was a good movie
lol but most likely he was just on a bad combination of pharmaceuticals and lethal overdoses happen
Heath Ledger actually did say he had fun playing The Joker. It's recorded. Good info in this video. I disagree. Joaquin Phoenix completely lost himself in the role also.
I’m not gonna lie this debating is tough but once Heath came it brought a more dark side of the joker in my opinion
i always just feel like he knew it was over and for some reason it might’ve came earlier.
Like he wanted to finish his roles and plan his final movies but couldn’t ..
Vlad do u know what a conspiracy theory is? That’s not a conspiracy theory 😂
What the hell was that at 8:04?? 😂😂
😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Vlad got acid reflux
Nah fr lol
Exactly wtf 😂
Vlad kweifing over there
Batman 89 Nicholson
Speaking of forgetting who am actor is when u see them in a role, Collin Ferrell as Penguin.. that's a new, underrated bar
Heath Ledger 's Joker is on another whole galaxy and realm by itself. Nobody can touch him, not even Joaquin's but he's up there a bit.
Phoenix was next level
@@PR-WAY I agree but he's not Heath. It's been 16 years since he was the Joker for Dark knight and passed away. His cultural influence as the Joker supersedes Joaquin's joker from the way how people mimic Ledger's Joker "Why so serious" catchphrase, the costumes and the watch replay value for The Dark Knight compared to Phoenix's Joker
@@sorjibattle I dont know man i just feel Phoenix was the realist joker i was captivated by his performance when i watched that movie it was unreal, Heath never captivated me like that it was just another bad guy in a superhero movie in my opinion
@@sorjibattle an Heaths death has alot to do with his influence as the Joker
@@PR-WAY I can't be mad at that brotha. I remember when I went to go see the Dark Knight as 8 year old kid and being somewhat terrified by the pop up scenes/ sounds in the movie and hearing Heath's laughs was enough to give me nightmares and something to always remember him by. Joaquin's definitely bodied his Joker role, I remember going to see it on my 20th birthday and just feeling almost the same way you felt. I mean Phoenix was cooking big time in his scenes, but the thing is I haven't seen Joker since it came out because of the high leveled violence and it actually kind of made me depressed. I can watch Dark Knight multiple times with Ledger in it and feel charged up.
The role didn't seem that serious. I think they just used it for promo.
Heath Ledger is the best Joker hands down no argument here RIP
That's a snapple fact
Nah his character as joker was the typical bad guy in a superhero movie in my opinion
@@lamart3857 Snapple opinion
An opinion is an opinion. No matter how many times you say orherwise
Heath has portrayed the best “Joker” but Joaquin has portrayed the best “Jack” (Jokers real name, the actual man beneath the facepaint). The same way the best “Batman” (in the costume) is not necessarily the same as the best “Bruce Wayne.”
Spawn!
I didn’t think there was any debate about Heath Ledger being the best Joker. I can barely remember who actually played the Joker as if the muhfucka was a real person
He had a costume on, that helped a lot. Joaquin nailed it without makeup
Actors sign up for the role & are ready for anything while act for movies Etc
Heath Ledger had problems before playing the joker. He did get hooked on something, I forgot what.
A lot of sh*t in the world isn’t a conspiracy theory.

I totally disagree with Joker killing Heath Ledger he said it was the most fun he had playing a character
I agree. Joaquin did an insane job. I love Heath too tho.
Hey Vlad, you left out Mark Hamill's voice over for The Joker in the Batman The Animated Series
He's number two on my list
It's slightly an unfair comparison because Heath's Joker got to act opposite Batman, whereas Joaqin's was basically solo.
@@nostaljah19 I agree. You can't have one without the other. Batman and Joker are the yin and yang in operating opposing sides of the law. The hero is more defined by the villain
I Believe So
I think Michael is being abit Naive here, ethod acting can be very intense and affect your psyche ad mental health, especially for such a dark character.
Many actors have spoken about this, Michael isnt that type of an actor so perhaps he has no personal experience of its effects.
His entire point is that he wasn’t method acting
@@RupertChase He certainly was
💯
@@Donnelius facts I believe Jack spoke to him and told him how dark the. Character could be
May have told him to get therapy after
That’s not a CONSPIRACY Theory. Just a Theory.
All good points, but, Ledger’s joker we never saw out of character, or w/o makeup…while Joaquin’s joker we saw a bunch out of character, so it’s not a fair comparison IMO. However, Ledger is the gold standard, to me. Thanks boys (and you Vlad for not interrupting per the usual;)
I'll make it simple: Heath Ledgers Joker was actually frightning. Out of all the Joker's he is the one that you would be the most afraid to be with all alone in a room.
Great content Jai and Vlad. I wish ya'll could come to South Africa!
Hath overexerted himself by overworking.
Heath was in the joker make up the whole movie so all you seen was the joker lol but phoenix was without make up most the time so you could always see his face an you know its phoenix acting so thats not a fair comparison
That's not a conspiracy theory. Some people just think it was too much on his psyche and he got too deep in a dark role.
Vlad is a joke!
Why’s this dude acting like he knows anything for certain either? He’s just as clueless as those who suspect the other take. This dude watches a lot of the View and MSNBC etc. all he does is parrot normie shit from TV.
I ALWAYS say this, too.
Because Heath Ledger was no longer acting in that role when he died. I think that’s the point.
All his opinions outside of that are just your bias against him. At least, that’s how it comes across
Well for certain, Heath Ledger was an addict. And no one can determine what will happen to an addict...
He would know more than you on the subject.
@@machomusprime50 oh so he was with him the night he died?
"Magic Tricks" Nuff said
Joaquin’s joker is so overrated jack is number one period
overrated? You're crazy. If you don't like the movie that's fine, if you don't like the script THAT'S fine, if you don't like the TAKE on the Joker I understand......but acting-wise???? BRILLIANT! If you deny that you're just a hatin' troll!
Amazing debate.
They never would have made a joker movie if heath ledger didn’t make the character as attractive as he did. I’m absolutely sure that what heath ledger did with the joker in the dark knight trilogy is what birthed the idea of a full blown joker movie. But I’m waiting to see Joaquin phoenix go full joker, not origin story joker, but fighting Batman joker. It’s easy for phoenix to pull off a joker origin because nobody ever saw what he was like before he became Batman’s arch nemesis. But we have an idea what he’s supposed to be like after encountering Batman, and that will be the real test for phoenix.
Facts
You know Phoenix will body that movie to
Heath Ledger for me was the best Joker, I gotta agree with Vlad on this one. When you watch that movie and see the joker, you don't think hey that's Heath Ledger, no you see The Joker. When I feel like watching a Batman movie, I watch the dark Knight because the joker is in it lol, who cares about 1 or 3 with bane lol.
#1 Joker is Mark Hamil who played Joker in the Batman animated series and the Batman Arkham games
Heath 🐐
Thats just a voice actor, nobody sees his face
7:38 he’s right never really thought of it like that
Phoenix deserved an Oscar for the movie Her. You can say that movie can be seen as if Joker had decent parents and was raised right. You get lost in the film by how well it was written and acted out.
Jack Nicholson told heath to not to go and play the joker because it's too dangerous and sinister for him to play the character and i said wow and rip to him 😢😢
They played the joker! Heath is by far the closest to the comic book version of the true who is the true version of the character so for me he is by far the best! As I see the joker who created by DC comics
@djvlad Did you realize that at least half of JOKER was all in his head? You have to carefully dissect whether what you are seeing is reality or delusion throughout the entire movie.. There are so many scenes that simply fall apart by the end of the movie with all of the dialogue and information that the viewer is given.
I loved that you asked MJW about Heath Ledger on multiple accounts. To many actors, Heath Ledgers Joker performance is studied in class and it’s so interesting to hear other professional actors talk about their experience with him on the Dark Knight set
The #1 Joker is the guy who played Luke Skywalker
That's facts but these guys probably have no idea he even played Joker
“ENOUGH, FROM THE CLOWN”
Despite honestly knowing nothing about these people other than their crafted personna, too often we apply mystical forces to their bad luck instead of wondering if they made bad choices, or had an unhealthy lifestyle we weren't aware of.
It obviously had nothing to do with partying with the Olsens, drugs, and alcohol..
Diddy could've been the next great Joker. And yes, I'm being very serious.
Why is he talking like he was showing up on set every day to film Dark Knight for weeks/months when he was only in one scene with like 45 seconds of screen time? 😂
Doctors don’t always catch which drugs are contraindicative with each other I’ve seen it myself that’s why I always stayed with my grandparents when they were in the hospital
I look at all my friends and see Joaquin in them. After the joker I don't stay at their homes.
was it Heath ledger in Brokeback mountain ?..if so that was the beginning of his demise
What about diddy? Hes not considered one of the greatest jokers?
That’s what happened 2 Gerald Levert and other celebrities
This guy has to lie about something whenever he speaks
Very few see through his BS.
@@commentwisely3033 i know because he’s spent a lifetime making himself believable
What did he lie about?
@@kevinwilliams8375 it’s kinda hard to pick up on because there is some truth but off top the whole thing about him and heath hanging out doing magic tricks maybe heath was into magic but this guy can’t help himself but to make himself seem more important he’s just a c list actor
Similar thing happened to Bruce Lee
Heath is #1, easily! That version scared me
MJW always keeps it real, best consistent guest on the channel
When is vlad gunna repost the peewee interview

Vlad: “Well, uh…”
Heath ledger by far the best joker
The best actors are drug addicts
He died the joker basically
That Joker movie with Joaquin Phoenix was TRASH

Very garbage!!!
SHITTTTTTTT you better speak for yourself
Thats a good joke
We did this already
Jack Nicholson warned him about taking on that role
Stoo over thinking 😂 its only acting
8:02 wtf was that??
RIP Heath😇
What a shame.
🔥🔥🔥 segment
Eeeeee wassuuuup
It did
I can totally relate to Michael Jai White about the pills. I was a no coffee drinking no aspirin and barely drank type of guy. I played football, got hit by a car, and really messed my back up doing CrossFit. I naively got into pain management. If I was someone else that didn’t have a sensitivity to medicine or even OTC stuff like Benadryl I would have gotten hooked on the oxycodone. I had a bunch of personal issues at that time as well so again naively was put on Xanax to sleep. Not even getting to the absurd amount he prescribed me. All that to say both medicines depress the central nervous system and I could easily have OD’d. I don’t know what he was on but it’s very easy when you have millions of dollars & access. Deadly combination
Heath Ledger, besides ONE brief scene, was always in make-up. Joaquin Phoenix was without make-up for 90% of the movie.
Not really fair to judge when you put it in perspective
Exactly
Mostly Horseshit I do respect this guy tho, but he fkn knows.
Joaquin Phoenix turned the Joker into a superhero for gays and bullied victims
Can you explain? How did you come to that conclusion?
@@gardyjure118 he’s mannerisms amongst other things..
Joaquin hands down. Not even close..
Jack definitely did his thing as joke. But heath brought that character to a whole never level...in my opinion
They played two totally different jokers in two TOTALLY different batman films. Keaton and Nicholson's batman was literally perfectly matched to the comics. Bale and Ledgers Batman was not following the typical comic book motif.
@@livinroomlongshanks 👍🏿👍🏿
I found Heath Ledger's Joker to be the most intimidating, so I pick him. But all were great in their own ways.
Mark Hamil, Joaquin Phoenix, Jack Nicolson, then Heath Ledger.... in that order
