I have observed and listened to this gentleman throughout this interview and my conclusion is that, whiles he may have some great ideas, I think he should retire and preserve the little dignity he has till he depart this world. He is not convincing enough. The part where he started talking about we owning the government and his proposal to achieve that is not convincing enough. In anyway, I felt like he was making excuses for those politicians who steal after winning elections just because they borrowed huge amount of money from the banks. Personally I think he should be bold to make a comparing and strong statement against corruption so we can hold him to it. The moment a politician begin to polish and sugarcoat statements I become suspicious of them because they're plotting their own escape route for the future. I can't trust him. Let's look at his track record and examine it properly because we have seen some before in Nana Addo.
    I rest my case.

Do NDC consult their Elders before they come out with their agitation to rubbish the Agyapa deal? Dr Duffour is making sense and in tune with Bawumia.

If we Ghanaians are craving for true progress for the country then we all must agree also that this time in our History and experience we must be VOTING for Presidents with a background in ECONOMICS Studies.
The reason is simple, if a Prez is to appoint an Economist to take care of the country's Economy a Prez with this background can handle the Technical aspects of the country and would not be depending on manipulators who would not give correct figures.
The current people in mind then falls on Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Duffour.
We must necessarily be looking at this now if we're to grow as a country.

They talk nicely, when they're not in power. Once in power, they forget their heads and hearts and rule by their whips. We need Ghanaian educated person, who understands the poverty terrain in Ghana. These western educated politicians, who have lived almost all their lives in abroad, haven't tasted poverty before, haven't known suffering to understand the plight of the palm wine tapper in the village.
They come in to serve our former colonial masters' interests.
    We need a neutral person.

I really like Dr Duffuor, he’s a technocrat and not political. He’s a successful businessman and is knowledgeable about turning crisis into opportunities and I can see him making strides. I like his style, very easy going interaction and solutions focused. However, I don’t see the hunger and toughness that Ghana needs. He appears to be too chilled which maybe good but we need to see his toughness, the steel and rugged personality. That shows the fighting spirit that we need as a leader.

Bravo!! Bravo!! And do not in your frustration tax the small money taxed and taxed I send to my beloved old mother, father and helpless family. Let us be a little social, Ghana is responsible for her ageing and if we in the disposal are partially doing that, then I think it will be a classic example of wickedness on the part of mother GHANA to even think of taxiing/ taking part of this money.
Our sending back home this money to the Motherland is already solving part of hard needed foreign currency.
Dr.'s advise is supreme and sustainable and a better long term approach..
It is done before, Ex.P. Attah did with our gas production, my dear President Nana A.A. you can do it also.
We might not leave to enjoy it but our beloved nation Ghana. We are tired in disposal,we want to come back home and help build our own. You policies will enable us. Our Nation is a strong nation and God bless us people.
Do not tax us and keep us here in the West.

  • @samueloforiampofo8960
    @samueloforiampofo8960 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I don't understand why the question of increasing income taxes, when we sit on a multi billion sector of the economy ,the durect property tax which nobody talks about. There are several buildings worth millions in Ghana owned by the rich which can attract huge taxes but leave them to over tax everything especially fuel that affects prices of every conceivable commodity affecting the poor. The ELevy tax will not give us enough as the property taxes would. Because the huge houses belongs to those at the top and the rich in society, nobody wants to talk about that sector.

In order to significantly reduce the informal sector, ghana government must strive to consolidate the numerous petty traders into large departmental and supermarket store chains.
Also government must eliminate archaic Cutlass and hoes farming by introducing national mechanized agriculture to keep food production with population,no more white elephant projects in ghana.

Infact looking at the posture and comportment of Kwabena Duffuor, he's more gentlemanly and presentable than John Mahama. Also Ghanaians have ever seen the performance of John Mahama and nothing of his tenure was impressive to talk home about. People use to say Arthur Mills and Akuffo Addo tried the presidential race and won their third attempt. But there's something different here, both Arthur Mills and Nana Akuffo Addo had not been president before and Ghanaians were curious to test their competency unlike Mahama who Ghanaians already knew all that's in him. Ghanaians have no time for trial and error for a president who had performed woefully and even in his era the new word DUMSUR was manufactured or created in the dictionary of which John Mahama cannot escape his incompetency of running a country.

I was a kid, Today I have grown and found out he gave ghone tv station to slay queens to manage. It’s not making any profit and he used depositors money from his bank to pay the workers at Gh1 which wansnt making any profit.

As much as I liked this man, I think he is uninformed about the greater number of people who are non Ghanaians dominating our construction industry.
Ivorians doing plaster in our construction fields in Ghana?
Then where are you putting the Togolese and the Benenoise?
Unless everyone who speaks french is assumed to have come from the Ivory Coast as one Ghana police man had alluded one time when he was looking as a Togolese vehicle number plate and reading from a Togolese international drivers license. Lol

The NPP has collapsed Duffour's bank, so he trying to sneak into the main stream of Ghana's devastating economy to revamp his callapsed bank just like Nana Addo and Ofori Atta are currently doing to Ghanaians.

They will dominate because majority of ghanaians in that field, aren't serious, not trustworthy and never understand timing or proper finishing.
