God & I have our best discussions while I'm in the garden, listening to you Jess or whispering willow farms. You really touched home today.Thank you, it was a much needed barn chat ,because I feel there are a lot of people that don't go to a church for the same reasons. My previous church knew more about my marriage & family problems than we did. SO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR OPENING UP THIS DISCUSSION
PUT SHORT…YOUR ABOUT TO SEE RELIGION FLIPPED ON HIS HEAD!!! GOD IS ABOUT TO DO A CLEANSING IN THE BODY OF CHRIST AND CHURCH WILL BE WHAT ITS SUPPOSED TO BE….THE HOUSE OF GOD WILL BE CLEAN AND HOLY WITHOUT SPOT OR BLEMISH!!! GOD IS COMING FOR A SPOTLESS BRIDE AND GOD SEES THE FILT IN HIS HOUSE AND HE IS COMING TO CLEAN UP THEIR MESS REALLY SOON AND THEY WONT LIKE IT!!! GOD IS GOING TO DO A WORLDWIDE CLEANSING THAT IS ABOUT TO BLOW PEOPLES MIND AND PUT THEM IN SHOCK AND AWE!!! LOOK UP THOSE PROPHETS AND PASTORS I LISTED AND YOU WILL HEAR DIRECTLY FROM GOD AND HIS PLANS THATS COMING….VERY VERY SOON…STARTING THIS MONTH!!!!
I grew up in the south. From generational Baptist teachings, so I know what you are talking about. But the same things are problems in other locations as well. Yet maybe not as intense as in the South…like Southern Missionary Baptist Church. Lordy, Lordy, Lord help us!
Great talk! I go to church and I am a Christian. Please be open minded when u visit any church. Even though the majority of the congregation may be Christians, we are imperfect people. If we were perfect people, we wouldn't need God. I guess the most important thing to look for in a church is a pastor that preaches the word of God. Also, on a lighter note, I've heard my pastor say this many times "There's no big shots around here....we're just pretty much all shot"
Be careful- Jesus isn’t coming back for a sinful unclean church-he is coming back for a Holy, spotless, blemishless church. He is certainly perfecting His Saints to be just like Him. Perfection is what He made us for. You need to humble yourself and learn from one of His prophets. Pastor John anosike will lead you to His truth and perfection. It’s time for the power and glory that He gave to us to be used and perfected! Don’t be deceived into thinking you are meant for anything less. You were made to rule over all of His creation-if He is the head and we are His body, then you better be listening to Him and acting like Him only! It’s battle time-He is a God of war, the era of grace being enough is OVER! Rise up SONS OF GOD! His Ecclesia is taking back our rightful thrones!! Halleluyah!
@@jmill7336 this is exactly the tripe the church indoctrinates people with. It actually states in the bible that God made us imperfect, that we just have to try our best to be good, put our faith in God and repent for sins we commit. The church brainwashes people into believing they have to be perfect or God will reject them and that is the complete opposite of what it says in the Bible. This is the exact reason why I don’t believe in or trust organised religions, made by men to push their own agenda. If the Church was truly about Jesus & God they would NEVER have closed their doors during the pandemic. Unlike Jesus & his disciples the church & their “pastors” not only turned their backs on sick people but healthy people too.
Thanks for your honesty much appreciated. I was a church member for 20 years and served with all my heart and taught Sunday school, ladies fellowship VBS, I could go on and on. When I approached the church to say my husband was abusing me all I heard was crickets. There was no accountability and I had to leave as they called me a lier. Hearing my s called friends gossiping about me was so hard especially since they went to church regularly along with me. I’ve healed lots since then but there will always be scares. Now many years later I have no desire to talk about fluff. With how the world is going I feel a stronger desire now to be with like minded people who want to go deeper into the word as we wait to go home to heaven. Church doesn’t save you as you clearly know. My walk in private with Jesus when no one is looking is the most important, being real and authentic. We’re in a spiritual warfare. God bless
I'm appalled that this crap happens to anyone; much more when a woman was begging for help. I always knew who a true Christian was after I went to church and saw who was NOT engaging in gossip about others. We aren't perfect; but we need to lift each other up, not take joy in their pain and torment them further. You are beautiful because you survived it all. Thank you for sharing
@@smac3662 Thank you for taking the time to respond, I learnt lots of lessons from this experience & would never allow another person to do these things to me again. ❤️
I was raised in the church and walked away at 17 and didn't step foot into a church for 24 years until a year or so ago. The first church was a very large one and I believe the 9 months I went there one person said hello to me the entire time. I went to a small church and people were ok. Not very friendly, very judgmental and honestly family complicated things. A few weeks ago, I started going to a new church and absolutely love it. One of the things I have noticed is most churches don't even have a cross anymore, I guess that's too controversial. The larger church would sing 4 songs, preacher talks for 35 mins and we sing 2 songs and you leave because the next service is waiting. The holy spirit has been removed from our churches because we stopped allowing him to move the way he wants when he wants to. I actually look forward to Sundays now because I found a little tribe, I can call my own :) and they love and accept me, judgement free. Yes, I know I am a sinner and somedays I really blow it but feeling love and acceptance is so powerful when you have been knocked down your entire life and are really hurting. I spent the first 3 weeks in that little church sobbing during service because I have never encountered such love from people I don't know. They clearly could tell I needed some time and space to figure them out and I appreciate that.
So glad you found a great church to go to. I been looking for ten years for a church to go to, and they all are the same. They are so much drama in the church I don’t do drama. I want to be loved and excepted Ben hurt by church all my life, cause they just want to judge you, and shun you if you ever had a problem in your life. Not love you and take you under there wings and care about you and help you too over come your problems
Please dont put them on a pedastel...they will fall off..... My church use to be that way...until i stood up to the Pastoral favorite....and shes lieing about what happened !! Sick and sad !!! Yep...GOSSIP AND LIEING ARE WRONG...WRONG...WRONG !!!
@@Caareenkm6726 True. But I think the conversation was about the physical church itself - becoming hives of gossip - paying more attention to the personal lives of other members, rather than to what the preacher is trying to teach. This is true in any group gathering - just human nature. But practicing your religious beliefs outside of the church - from your heart - is doable, for me.
The Bible specifically says to not forsake the assembly. That means to gather together with other believers to worship the Lord. It's not a man made idea and it doesn't say if we feel like it. If God tells me to do something, I better be obedient.
We are not religious, we have a relationship with God. We also have a House Church fellowship- like in Acts... some days it's just us, and other days it's others with us... we absolutely love it... loving the word of God and the deep studied we have. We stopped going to an organized church when the Word of God wasn't being taught or preached. No trends here, just God's truth. Our best friends go to a local church... no issues with them or other who chose that. Love y'all Blessings
Same here. Just like Zack said, my wife and I have "church" at home, well that's quite convenient if you think about it: we [ the born again believers/disciples of Jesus Christ ] ARE the church: 2 Corinthians 6:16
@@michaelsherron5750This is what my husband and I do also, and we both believe that is what will happen very soon, and I feel we need to find others that believes that also and start or join a Home Church also .
@@catherinereeves5707 parents are completely capable of preparing their children for the world. Having them brainwashed and indoctrinated in public schools with pure evil is NOT preparing them for the world. It's giving them up to the world.
@@catherinereeves5707 that's a ridiculous thing to say. Who can prepare children better than their own parents? We all know how evil the public school system is, so let's send our innocent children into the lions den. Lord have mercy 🥺
My grandmother was born in 1901, and she lived on a cotton farm in very rural Texas. The farmers built a tabernacle, and a visiting preacher would present a sermon each Sunday. Four different preachers from different denominations would preach. Each family would bring a potluck dish, fried chicken, watermelon & desserts. They built a strong community which included personal interactions, helping each other and worshiping the Lord. They survived the Great Depression.
It’s the fear of the Lord that leads to understanding and being able to submit to that personal relationship so that you can move into the love, grace and mercy that is provided by and through Christ
Great message! You are doing good being a leader for your family and pointing everyone to God. I was a PK (preacher's kid) I was raised in the church and I have seen a lot, the good and bad. My Mom always told me to remember the church is like a hospital full of sick people trying to get well and better themselves. Go to church and lead by example! God bless you and your family!
I do agree with you. At 71years old I have searched so many different churches and always call away disheartened and dad at what the world has become. We have chosen to home church also but gone a bit of a different route. I know a building doesn't make a church but a home if opened to others to share your beliefs with is a strong testimony of Jesus love for us. I am now raising grandchildren as a single custodial grandparent and doing my best to live by example to teach them. God bless you a and your family.
I’m having really tough times medically and financially. I texted my only Christian friend and spilled my guts. That was a week ago. Crickets. I guess I’m alone in this. Jesus and I. But I’m terribly lonely.
Praying for you... I understand completely, going through a similar thing.. and yes, lonliness is hard.. but if gave me more time for Jesus... God bless.
... Last June, I was dropped off at a homeless shelter by a religious head, of an organization I was in for 40 years, and a "pioneer" of such a sect (would love to talk to Jen)... Of a "cheritable church"... And told" you won't live under a bridge long" then promptly called cps on me... (Who found nothing wrong WITH ME).... Never ever felt so alone and homeless, with my two girls... Since then, I have been shunned by EVERYONE, including mother and brother.... Just please know.... YOU ARE NEVER ALONE... All the warmest thoughts your way.... HE PUT IT IN YOUR HEART.... You need no one else 🥳
@Heidi VLF No judgements here. Just wanted to share some personal things. I pray you know these things come from my heart to yours, with love. Opinions have no eternal value. I pray I've kept those out, and that I do not offend you. Apologies in advance, for such a long comment. When I feel lonely, it's my sign that I need time alone with Jesus. It's what He is saying to my heart. It's one way His Spirit draws mine to His. Nothing in or of this world could ever fill the "hole" of loneliness but Him. He has proven this Truth, each and every time. It's such a precious, beautiful blessing! You don't actually know me, but you should know that you are my sister, through Christ. This Truth should show your heart that you truly do know me - The Christ within me. The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit within me wants you to know that my heart, His heart, is with you. I pray you cast all the cares and worries of your heart and mind on Him. He will make your paths straight. He will cleanse and restore you. You will come to see and know things too wonderful to explain. Sometimes The Lord wants to separate us away from the things of this world, so our full attention will be on Him. So we may learn to fully trust and lean on Him, as never before. He wants us in a position to choose Him, over the things of this world. It's a test, that comes in the form of a free will choice, which He will continually bring to our path throughout our lives. Continually testing our hearts and our faith in Him. He wants us to look to Him first, in everything. Holding each thought captive unto His Obedience. He wants us to never forget that the power of life and death are in the tongue. For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. The mouth speaks what the heart is full of. He desires the truth from our most inward parts, and in the hidden parts, He will make us to know wisdom. God didn't say we wouldn't have storms. He did say He would give us peace in the midst of a storm. There is no pit so deep, that He is not deeper still. His Word promises He will never leave us or foresake us. His Truth promises that if you seek Him with all of your heart, you will find Him. Trust Him with your heart, sweet sister. Lean not on your own understanding. He will fill you with a peace that surpasses all understanding. This may be what your heart is truly asking Him for. God bless you!
I’m feel sadness listening to you. We have a small church and we love on people when they visit. It has nothing to do with trying to recruit members or filling an offering plate. It’s about showing others the love of Jesus through us. I pray that you find a real church, one that meets to worship Jesus together and to dig into the word of God.
Amen. Our church loves on people so much, it is very heartwarming. We are not trying to build numbers but to snatch a soul from the flames. We have an offering box by the door and it is never even talked about. If you want it, you will find it without anyone having to tell you where to deposit your offering.
My heart also broke so bad that I unsubscribed. Then a feeling told me to go back and listen to all of his conversation. Well.....a lesson was learned today from an old woman....listen better! Listen in its entirety. God bless you Zack and family
@@NaturalLivingHomesteader Yes, mine too because I understand that pain in this man's voice and eyes. It shouldn't be this way. The Bible refers to Christians as "brothers and sisters", yet, we don't even take time to get to know someone nowadays, like he said, surface , shallow talk and then we all go to our other lives the rest of the week, and our separate ways. I'm not talking about we're in each other's faces all week but other than when we meet for "church" once or twice a week, the deeper friendships, as Christ taught them are rare today. Not saying some aren't like that but too many are. Jesus said that we'd know who are His by their LOVE for one another, the bond we'd have as His followers. Don't see much of that today. It's really sad.
So many churches are preaching the wrong message and it is white washing the minds of the followers be very cautious when choosing a church. Use the bible to judge if you should be a part ask your self the hard questions. Some churches add and take away from the Bible. God Bless all.
Just thinking of the verse Hebrews 10:25, " Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one anothere-and all the more as you see the Day approaching." May the Lord guide you to the church that meets the needs you have for worship, and a great group of kids and adults to share together of our Lord. Thank you for sharing your lives with us.
The more I think about it the more I think you're right. If everybody left for these reasons there would be no one good left in the churches. Maybe we should at least go sometimes to be the light in the darkness to help others.
Covid exposed a lot of things to me and in many ways ruined church. My husband was a pastor for 13 years. We were missionaries. We've always worked in Christian organizations and we find ourselves in a very similar situation (except that our children are older). Covid exposed the weakness of most churches, pastors, leadership etc. I watched pastors that I once trusted and respected telling people it was a moral and ethical decision to get the shot. We went over a year without going anywhere. I don't trust people who would fall for something and push an agenda that I knew was evil from the beginning. I can't get passed that. But I see my kids struggling now. They need community. We lost all of our community when our church shut down and refused to meet, then required masks even outside and even if you had a medical exemption. My teenage daughter was totally discriminated by the youth group and her friends stopped talking to her. In all my years in ministry I've learned that Christians can be some of the meanest and most dysfunctional people I've ever worked with. In church ministry people are allowed to treat others horribly and use Christian terms to cloak is as something it's not. On the mission field we were chewed up and spit out for daring to ask simple questions. In a Christian non-profit I was treated horribly by other "believers". Covid was the last straw for me. I don't trust people after being betrayed and shunned by so many because I wouldn't cover my face and inject poison. Finding an authentic community now is harder than ever! I've said for well over a decade that I haven't lost faith in God, but I've lost all faith in humanity!
Us too... Only because I've lived the vax myth medically.... Please know that as the words of scripture will rule, have always ruled and will always rule. You got this, because it was put IN you. (Not by external probes)... Not in front of you... So you don't need to fight to get there, we already are. Just need to realize that we are no longer slaves to be enslaved... But absolutely free to worship without judgement. Our prayers for you and yours. May peace find you💜
@@tammiedyer3225 I know! It's sad. I know we live in a broken world, with broken and imperfect people. But it's SO heartbreaking to see Christians be so nasty. The spiritual abuse is so dangerous and harmful.
I have a long history of church hurts from being a ministers child and feeling like i was not allowed to make mistakes because all eyes were on me, to being a young mom and feeling like i was just seen as another volunteer in childrebs building, to being a police wife during political unrest and having church family push me away for supporting my husband. About 7 years ago I had written off church all together, but because my kids longed for that community, we continued to seek out a church. We finally found one that spoke truth of the bible without wavering one way or the other. Being plugged in to the youth group with our children has blessed our relationship as a family. It was hard to get here but at this point our church is our anchor to our community.
My brother told my mother he would go back to church, when the hypocrites aren't there. I remember my Mother saying " we are all hypocrites, if we're perfect we wouldn't need church. She told him it is for her salvation not someone else. You are right 🟦
I was out of church for several months a couple people knew I had had surgery and was having difficulties...when I was able to drive and go back to church I had many people break their neck to get to me ...I got hug's and so good to see you are you back you didn't leave our church...no I was very sick. So sorry why didn't you let us know...so some of the neglect was my fault also people don't want to be nosey. Any way I kept to myself and I do know if I would have wanted something from any of my church people they would have been there in a heart beat. What I learned from this is that I don't always reach out when I notice someone missing so I have promised I would do way better at being there for them . I'm glad you will not forsake the assembling o get her like the bible says. We can't know what each of us are going through so we have to give each other some slack. Love Jesus and love other's. 🙌 🙏❤
I love listening, reading and studying Gods word and ive learned more and have become more mature spiritually when i left the church. I go to a bible study/fellowship once a week and that's it. I dont feel i lack anything because im growing in Christ. There is too much pushing of church membership, tithing and attendance when im free to come as i choose when i choose. Church doesn't save you Christ does! I am the church/body of Christ..
"i go to a Bible study/fellowship once a week" =Church. That's the definition of it. Any other definition is bs. And the Bible does say not to forsake this,it's not optional,it's mandatory.
Love your heart for God,,,,,,,you are so right about the church,,,,,,glad you see it ,,,,,you are on the right path,,,,,keep on searching ,,,,,for me , once l started keeping Sabbath , l felt I finally came home ,,,,never looked back ,,,,20 years now ,,,keep the Feasts of the Lord too,,,
I moved from New Jersey to rural Kentucky. I can attest to the fact that I have had likely a dozen people ask me which church I belong to. I belong to my own church like you at home. I would not go to a church for all the reasons that you mentioned. I grew up going every Sunday and I remember that little basket going around once twice sometimes three times. It’s a big money grab. Many of the ministers use their church as a tax shelter.
I moved from Jersey to WNC. Same happened here. People would pull up in our yard and be overly nice and invite us to their church. Got overwhelming, so a gate went up 😀
Thank you Zack for your talk! I have to say, the friendships I made while attending church, have been the most meaningful through my lifetime. God Bless your family.
Great word!!! I’d add this. I wouldn’t join a church unless God told me, or I had a peace about it and knew I was being led. I attend a church because my daughter and grandkids go and her job is there. But I haven’t been led to join. And you have to remember there are all levels of maturity of Christians in every church. If you join you have to extend them Grace.
I agree with everything you said. I am one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. You did not say anything negative about us, or anyone’s faith really. You nearly made an observation and that is not the same as being judgmental, and I really appreciate that😊 your channel teaches us to be self sufficient and shows the joys of home and farm life. The benefits of an agrarian lifestyle. That is a precious hope for us JW’s, to live on a earth, at one with animals, other people plus no wickedness or death. . I wanted to say thank you for your hard work here.
Life long church attender here - your observations are accurate in my experience. I don’t like the fake and fluff either. I’ve come to the conclusions you are arriving at…you be the change. You be the real, genuine sincere voice that has roots that run deep, that stays grounded in the Word and faithful to lead your family well.
I am a Christian. I've read the whole entire King James Bible 3 times. I've enjoyed learning from it. And as you know when you get closer to God, Satan tries to steer you in the opposite direction. I didn't go but stood steadfast in my belief. My ex husband however steered away. But my children and I are over it! My mother died in 2011 and I haven't been back to church since. I learned that in times like that you need your community. Not one of the church members came to me or sent word of their condolences. But I kept reading my Bible and trying to get closer to God.
I love this video. I was a home school teacher and now a Christian school teacher now. Extremely active one. We used a christian based curriculum that was fabulous and challenging. We started everyday with God. When she started Junior High she wanted to go to a christian school. She is now 22 a graduate of University of Alabama cum laud honor student. She still loves church and is a social butterfly. I love her discernment and her boldness. I agree with everything you just said. Love y'all. Without your teaching your children would not know who God is. You have the Biblical right to train y our children.
I just left my church for the very same reasons. Only one person has reached out to see if I am OK or if I need something. Its been over a month and this just speaks volumes of why I left. Nobody cares. I do love the Lord with all my heart mind and soul, and that will never change. Thank you for your honesty.
I grew up going to a Baptist church and also fell away as I got older. When I returned, I was told I had to be VOTED back in! I found out they denied membership to a man that owned a liquor store! That did it for me with churches. Cant remember the verse, but it says "it doesn't matter where you worship, it matters how you worship"
I'm not advocating for the church making that decision at all, but shouldn't it make you think about your profession? You're selling "spirits" *demons* to the masses. Doesn't that hit your conscience? I'd question my salvation if I could justify doing such a think and be okay with it?
Great talk. I think it’s very important in choosing the right church. It’s so much more then just the name over the door. We are the temple but yet we still need each other. We are to be wise and have discernment as well. I understand a lot of what your are saying. The Bible says we know the tree by the fruit it bears in Luke 6: 43-45, Matt 7: 15-20. It’s not judging but it is discerning and that’s Biblical. I love that ultimately God is our judge but that He told us to be wise and be aware and it’s okay for us to discern (discernment and judging are two different things) how are we gonna know who is sheep and who is wolves in sheep’s clothing if we don’t walk in discernment? The Bible does talk about wolves in sheep’s clothing. I love that you are looking out for your family and loving them so well. That is what a man of God is supposed to day. He is the leader of the home. Don’t let the haters get to you. Follow your own convictions that God talks to you about and don’t worry what others have to say about any of it. I’m not sure about there but in our area there are homeschool groups (Jesus Centered) in our area and that may be a way for your daughter to be around others her age as well as community. Keep doing what your doing and loving Jesus and your family well. Blessings to you and your family. I love watching y’all and look forward to all your videos and barn chats.
I'm so thankful my husband and I found our church home. We attend a non-denominational, Bible based church. From day one... I always felt welcomed...to this day, all of the people who were initially nice and caring are still genuinely loving and caring people. So many are real friends and some are the family God knew I needed. I am now one of those people who are genuine in welcoming new-comers because it's all about people getting saved and living for Jesus. Them staying at our church helps keep them supported through everything...as we are the hands and feet of Jesus. I'm excited that you all are getting out there and I pray you find your family you never knew you were missing. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I was born and raised in church and my children also. In 2014, our pastor resigned, and some former troublemakers were back in the church building within 30 minutes after our pastor left. My husband and I and our 3 youngest children would not stay for the drama that did eventually come. (The church building is now a pizza place if that tells you where the drama led). We looked for a new church for almost 4 years and finally gave up in 2018. Since then, I have learned how stressed I was in church. I was constantly looking over my shoulder wondering what sin I had committed. We often heard the terms "sin of omission" and "sin of commission", so I was never sure of how many sins I had committed in the last hour! I was stress, anxious and worried and it was ruining my family. Being strongly involved in the church should have made our lives better, but it was quite the opposite. Sadly, I didn't realize that while we were so deeply involved in church service. I thought I was being a good Christian by attending, serving, outreach, ministries etc., but when I was judging my husband and controlling my children, I was ruining the witness and discipleship role the Lord gave me within my own home. I am thankful that the Lord orchestrated our departure from organized religion. I have now learned to love the Lord as my loving Father and not a harsh master. I thank Jesus Christ daily for His gift of salvation. I thank the Holy Spirit for guiding me in all things. We can have a beautiful relationship with God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. We only need to listen to His guiding and not to man's rules and traditions.
My husband and I together and independently finally stepped away from churches. From the moment we walked in the door, you could hear the gossip and the judging and oh did you hear we need to pray for so-and-so. We study the word together every day, directly from the Bible! I have never felt more grounded in the Word and led by my husband.
Thanks for an honest and open discussion! A few observations. I remember how you and Jen shared struggles because the community felt very “clickish.” Maybe some of these same types of feelings come over you all when visiting/attending churches. I have struggled with that at times. However, I believe if you look hard enough you can find like minded people. Everyone within the church building is not necessarily in the same place on their journey. Perhaps you and Jen could be good examples to others in a congregation. One thing I always told my children when it comes to gossip is this, “is it your story to tell?” My children are now adults and I have actually heard them repeat those words to others. I am an imperfect person trying to pursue Christ with more passion than my greatest interests. Praying you find fellowship in a strong church community that is passionately seeking Christ!
Good talk....religion is man made. Obeying/reverencing Father is a way of life. In all ways. The 501(c) churches have an anchor and mostly mixed with directives that ultimately come from the government. The same government that Father said come out of. There is approximately 4, 449 different religions all tethered to Rome. Same system that killed Yahshua and all the rest of the believers. Yahshua loved and helped the people but He was the leader. Our soon coming King. Our brother. Father is building the family. (So hope to be able to try some you guys products. ) Much love-stay in integrity. 💯
I personally do not attend church but I honor the Sabbath and am mindful of the appointed times. Don't celebrate the holidays. I grew up celebrating. All the folks around me do. So what...that's what they do this is what I choose to do. Be the light whatever you choose. Created in Father's image.
Great message! It is so important for the man of the house to lead his family just as you said! It is also important to meet with believers. Supporting and encouraging each other is the way we grow. Keep looking until you find the church family that you feel fits your family. Let God lead you where He wants you to serve Him.
James 3:10 tells us that blessing and cursing should not proceed out of the same mouth. You are so right. God's house is not a place for talking about others. It is a place to talk about the Lord. I have had to church shop before it can be disheartening. But keep looking you'll find your home. Home with God
I agree with you, Zach. We home church as well. We moved and wanted to find a church closer to our home, so we could attend and serve more often without a long late night drive home during the week. Then COVID set in, and we got very comfortable at home. We miss fellowship with peers but have not found a local church with the same devotion to the Lord without legalism or a lot of fluff. Also, having a special needs child makes it more difficult. Most times, we find a closer walk at home than when we attend a congregational service. Bless y'all for your honesty. I think if we were neighbors, we would get along just fine. God bless your family from the deep south MS.
I'm just going to say it... Told myself, just last night, that I needed to go back to church this morning. This morning came and went and here I sat at the house. God speaks through others when everything else is to loud for us to hear Him. Thanks so much for listening to Him and sharing. Confirmation! I'm listening again and bet I'll be in a pew Sunday morning.
I am 68 years young, and I am so blessed by watching your Barn Chat videos. The God given gift of wisdom you have is a wonderful example for other men with or without families. I always look forward to every video you post! May God continue blessing you, that beautiful wife, and your children as your homestead grows. I hope you see this post because I want you to know you're making a difference!!!
I am so thankful that my husband and I go to a Church where our Pastor preaches the true word of God. Now a days there are so many false Preachers out there, so we need to be careful who we listen to. Just stay in the word everyday and we will be able to get through anything.
Left our church of 6 years a year ago next week. We have visited every church in our area and so far haven't felt like we belong in any of them. We are now meeting once a week with friends at their house.
I am 77 and tried many churches, but today I won't darken the door of a church. Also, I avoid being out in public the best I can. I have awesome times with my LORD, when HE wants me to witness or help someone, it comes about, I don't plan it, HE does. Just pray LORD use me where you want. Those who have young ones to teach and raise, have it much harder than I did, though it was rough for mine when they were growing up. HE will guide you what to do, but to withdraw from the ever darkening world is not wrong in my opinion. Many phrophets and men of GOD separated themselves from the wicked society around them.
I am old now and sickly. I have a lot of health problems. So can’t go to church any more. I miss going. I love to whorship the lord. If people would not judge what people were wearing and worship the lord instead the church would be better off.
I started watching church online during the pandemic. I agree God is important in my life. I’ve begun to think that the most important thing is to have a PERSONAL relationship with the Lord. So I talk to God when I drive, in the garden, when friends or family need help or when I just need to feel Gods peace or strength. As a senior citizen I have lost many friends and family to illness or age and it takes courage to meet new people. Good talk!
I was initially reluctant to listen to this particular barn chat but I'm glad I did. Nice job of explaining the downfalls of organized churches and the hypocrisy found within but also expressing an understanding of the importance of having God and the community in your life. As a recovering child JW I related to what you said. As always, proud to be part of the Stive Tribe! Much love.
Churches are made up of imperfect people. The trick is keeping our eyes on Christ. Was told growing up, ‘If you do find the perfect church don’t join it. You will ruin it.’ It isn’t easy. I think this talk reaches us all. So much agree on … The noise. The gossip. The lack of deep relationships. The judgement. The lack of bearing one another’s burdens. Yet... We need community, relationships, corporate worship, being able to support missions, getting outside ourselves and our comfort zone. We don’t stop going to the dentist, school, or doctor because of bad experiences. We either keep going or find a new one. We hold churches at an almost impossible standard of expectation. Our kiddos really do need that fellowship too. Keep trying!
We did home church due to the same reasons in the church. Then yrs later my husband was lead to find a church. We found a great church. We must be the light in the world. And we home school so we wanted to find ways to get our children out there to be social with the Lords people. And make their own mistakes and learn. Praise Jesus we found our church! ❤ Your little family 💗
Wow that was a great barn chat. We are going through the same conversations in our home. We homeschool but our kids are wanting more friendships and my husband and I are hesitant to go back to church but you’re right, we need to get out of our comfort zone for our kids. My daughter did VBS this week and although she enjoyed it she struggled making friends and fitting in because we live a life (homesteading) that’s so different than most kids. Thanks for a great talk as usual!
When we moved across the country during C, we had no idea where to start. We started watching a wonderful church online, and did that for 2 years. In fact, we still watch it every Sunday and Wednesday. But we moved to this tiny, unwelcoming town, and we were so lonely, desired fellowship and a close Christian community and family. We started looking again, visited several, and FINALLY, by the Grace of God, were lead to our current church. We knew immediately, we could literally feel the Holy Spirit when we were there. Pure Bible teaching/ preaching, caring and welcoming congregation. I am so thankful for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ 🙏 ❤
“When ever two or more are gathered in my name…” 150 years ago when the rural land mass very much outnumbered the urban land area, home church was the norm. When your nearest neighbour was 5 miles away; most folks would go to church once a month, not once a week. The animals that pulled the buckboard were the ones who pulled the plow. They were only drawing the wagon to church/ town once a month. The fact that you are considering the truth of human nature is good. The people in church are not better than those who don’t go, they are just closer to the solution.
Definitely agree and it’s very hard to find a God fearing church. My family watch Pastor Jack Hibbs online and we go fellowship at our church. I also play my audio Bible when we go on trips and I listen to my audio Bible every night before I fall sleep
@@Caareenkm6726 I live in a very small town with not many options and I don’t need to change for anyone except Jesus Christ we are all sinners and the only way is through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
Went to school for q3 yrs as a catholic, when i wanted to get married in my church they said no i was to young and if i was still married in two yrs they would bless it, i said no and left the church. Later in life when my kids were young had to put them in a chatholic school, thought it would be good until they didnt get there tuition and embrassed my kids in front of there class and friends , instead of calling me , i was just out of surgery and busted three stiches yelling at the lady fir making my kids feel so bad. Never going back. Yes home church better.
I left our church because our pastor retired, and the new one that was brought in, was brought up on charges and imprisoned for child sexual abuse ( in that church) and now.....I cannot bring myself to go back, to that one anyway. It is very hard for me to trust anyone anymore
I had the same experience and God spoke to me and said “ if you are going and looking and worrying about what people are doing you are going for the wrong reason” so I had to go back and focus on Him and forget about what others where doing. Love on others and be different from the gossiper’s and you can change the atmosphere. I just had to find a Church that teaches truth and let people be people and let God deal with them.
Such a fabulous talk!!! U believe church should be a community in the home like it was so many years ago. It doesn't need to be a chuch building, have gatherings in each other's homes! I love this talk, you are absolutely correct. We quit going a few years ago
It took me 10 years to find a new church after I moved from home. Too many churches try to "seeker friendly" instead of just preaching from the scriptures.
dude... pure truth. so much the same, i was raised JW and found Christ through Southern Baptist. Still a member, but it has been home church through youtubing good pastors. preach and farm on!
This is good understanding of what is real and what is sensationalism. Coming from the south it was hard for our family when it came to “church stuff” as well but God has given us an authentic community of people where we live now that we are very grateful for. Putting yourself out there is hard especially when the residue of religion still lingers but it can be how God originally intended when we keep our eyes on His Word and His Commands and off of what’s “popular”. Well said Zach, thank you for your boldness and willingness to be a voice of truth in the midst of so much compromise.
I thank God I have 2 exceptional churches and Pastors. I talk to God on my porch. God always hears us. I get what your saying and agree. Lv and Prayers to all.
Absolutely agree with you and how you feel about church. Fluffy is easy, and being real is hard. I loved the way you expressed it. totally agree, the truth is what is missing in so many things today. I agree with you 100%. Loved what you had to say. Keep doing it. So honest.
We are the church, and I enjoyed church with you today. Thank you for sharing. I just recently started back to church. I left because of some of the very things you spoke on. But the Lord kept laying it on my heart about this one particular church. I finally gave in and submitted to going. Am I totally in on some of the things they do. No, but that is what I need to learn. We are all unique. God made us all different, and sometimes we won't agree. But don't we learn new things from others? Not that we'll always agree, and that's OK. I try not to follow along to be following along, but sometimes others can teach us things if we aspire not to close ourselves off. It's OK to be you and not always agree with a brother or sister in Christ. I think that's the most important thing of all. Have your own beliefs, but don't be so stuck on your ways that you're not open to what others say. The same with don't be so quick to agree or follow something just because it sounds good or feels good. God wants us to be who He created us to be, not someone else. So yes, be open, but have decernment also.
May I suggest starting something my church has been doing for years: Every week get together with about four or five other Christian families for a light potluck style meal and bible study. The kids can socialize with rach other. You make good friends and can share any problems with each other, pray for each other, without the whole church getting into your business. You could do this even without a sponsoring church, if you can't find one you would go to regularly. I'm so glad you did this barn chat, as us church-goers needed to know how guests feel.
I live in Texas and the same situation with myself, been to many churches and not 1 feels like home there is alot of gossiping and fake people, I study and worship the Lord right in my living room 🙏 🙌
@@Caareenkm6726 I mostly like and agree with both him and Jin but I have been there and seen this kind of thing. However there are good churches and good pastors. Nobody thinks or feels the exact same thing or the exact same way. Just my thoughts.
Very powerful message, I was Jehovah witness my self, and it is very hard to find which church is more close to God. I found in revelation, when he open the seals, God gave blame on each one , but at the end he loved them. So my conclusion is the same as you. I hope everyday that I am a person who please to God. Sorry for my English, I am French..love you all
I during the thing that happened in 2019 watched in amazement how so many fell in line to the thing. Not only closing churches but staying away from people all together. I offered several churches to come here in my backyard and have their services. One church in particular did do that and they had wonderful services outdoors here. I personally did not avoid the public but went in as usual and it offered many opportunities to witness for Christ. We are called to be a light and not hide ourselves from the public. Lots of folks trying to stay home to avoid people as if they are doing something for the Lord. But they are deceived. Jesus said if you have seen Him you have seen the Father. Jesus is God its His name and God has exalted the word of His name above all His name. Appreciate your video. Just subscribed. Take care
AMEN!!!!!! Where two or more are gathered in my name he is in the midst of them. People forget the church is not a building we are the church. Many churches try to insist that Hebrews is talking about attending church that you must be in a church that's not true the verse says forsake not yourselves the assembly and they use this to insist that a person that is not attending a sanctuary is not walking in the way of the Lord. My husband and I stopped attending churches about 8 years ago. Some false teaching, some twisting of the word, some of the same stuff that you're talking about. This is not what God intended. You stick to the word of God teach your children and raise them up in the word that's the only thing that matters. As long as they know truth based on the word they're not being fed false teachings that a lot of churches spread. Misinterpretations or preachers that stand up in front of the church with information that they've learned in seminary that don't even back up to the word of God. You ask God to give you discernment and teach you his truth and he will You are not critiquing them too hard. God is calling a lot of people out of the churches these churches are about false Doctrine and not about the true Jesus in the true way they think they are but this is the big deception this is the False Church. The road is not wide the road is narrow and few find the truth, God is bringing his faithful the ones who want to know truth the ones who want to follow truth out of the False Church
That scripture, Hebrews 10:24,25, says “ And let us consider one another so as to incite to love and fine works, not forsaking our meeting together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you see the day drawing near.” It was written to a proper organized first century congregation. The original reader would have understood it to mean don’t quit going to your congregation meetings. First century Christian’s met together. Further they were commissioned to preach the good news of gods kingdom until Jesus returned to intervene in human affairs. The question is what organization of people are real Christian’s? Who is preaching the good news and teaching people what that is? Who acts like Christian’s? Who’s worship follows the pattern set by the first Christian’s? Interestingly, the first Christian’s didn’t have a clergy class. That the real mystery.
Thank you for talking about it all! If, there is the gossip in the church, we have a choice.. participate in the conversation or speak up and say… we are all sinners. Ask them how do you think we can help them? We are Saved by grace. Love the sinner not the sin. It’s harder for the children. Respect your elders. When some of them have bad behavior. That seemed it was the hardest part of being in the church. As adults we need to set the example. Praise God for you and your wife 🙏🏼
I knew there was a reason I like your channel so much. I find that churches have so much noise that I don't go in sanctuaries for fear of lightening. Good message this Sunday. I do take exception of religions that make people so doubtful of the application of God's Grace and many many gifts internal to our individual selves, that we bundle an overwhelming feelin of not being "enough" with the acceptance of His gift of us eventually entering the Heaven World when that time comes. What if we could just be present to His joyful gifts while we go about oir business, which makes our work light and industrious? I'm preswnt to the Lord's gift joy for me every moment I can to honor His gift. ...And that goat milk soap of yours is so soothing.
I feel ya. 100%. Been facing the same battle here. We have found a church where the pastor/preaching & worship are connected to the heart of God- all their beliefs don’t align with all our beliefs & there are a lot of people there who are just there to be there & socialize & not necessarily to pursue God. There are a lot of broken dysfunctional people everywhere. It’s hard to be around people who aren’t really committed to pursuing God in church - there’s tons of that just about everywhere. But we are called to be part of the body of Christ (like you said it’s our duty) & we can’t be part of the body if we aren’t connected to a larger group of believers besides our own family. People are endlessly challenging. I still struggle being around a lot of them but I’m taking it as an opportunity to look more to myself (like you are), get over my own challenges, & do my part to be connected.
I feel exactly the same as you. Yes, I need to work more on getting out there in community. I also have to remind myself, we are ALL His children and Love regardless. Blessings to you and your family.
And this is exactly why i like watching you guys, cause you homestead & believe in Jesus! ❤❤❤. Born & raised in a church, my dad is a pastor i seen so much... You definitely have to guard your heart. My husband's cousin is a pastor i end up at both services & its not about who comes who clips their nails during the service or who let's their kids interrupt my focus is on God. We also started with counseling for our marriage & he has another perspective on the Bible... I don't care as long as God's word prevails!

Thank you!!!
The pastor at Elevation church, Steven Furtick, is a heretic. I don't think you'll learn any deep theological concepts watching his messages.
I love that statement, trodgersrogers2472. Your Pastor said it well!
Please know your not alone....
Glad for you to have found this church.
A friend of mine was asked why she doesn’t go to church. She put her hand on her heart, and said ‘my religion is right here’. I always liked that.
But that’s not enough.. faith without works is dead!
Amen to that!
Love y'all
Blessings
I think there will come a day when this is the only kind of church true believers will be able to attend.
Love this so much, Zach, We've had our share of religion trauma and keep our eyes on Jesus.
This will preach, brother! So many great points. Thank you for sharing.
Please don’t send her to public school it is getting really bad
Public schools are propaganda mills. They hate Christ & your children's native genders.
Sending children to Public School helps prepare them, for when they are adults. You can't put them in a bubble, and keep them from the world forever.
Not all public schools are bad- each child and each area is different.
Amen Brother well spoken we have been there done that. I knew i was drawn to you and Jenn for a reason.
"It shouldn't be fear; it shouldn't be fluff; it should be the Truth." Amen!!
It’s the fear of the Lord that leads to understanding and being able to submit to that personal relationship so that you can move into the love, grace and mercy that is provided by and through Christ
Amen. You gave a wonderful talk. You should be a preacher Thank you.
What a Faith walk! So good!
Great message! You are doing good being a leader for your family and pointing everyone to God. I was a PK (preacher's kid) I was raised in the church and I have seen a lot, the good and bad. Such a great example ❤

I agree. My heart was breaking for this family as I listened to this.
Zack and Jen want it their way!
May peace find you💜
You’d be surprised at the number of people that feel EXACTLY like you. Hold fast to Truth and discernment and keep drawing closer to Him!!!
@@tammiedyer3225 I know! It's sad. I know we live in a broken world, with broken and imperfect people. But it's SO heartbreaking to see Christians be so nasty. The spiritual abuse is so dangerous and harmful.
And so one finds out who are true christians and who just use the label.
@@adriennewacker5317so true!!! 🙏🏼
You are right 🟦
100% agree with everything you said.
Thank you for sharing
Love love love this!
Got overwhelming, so a gate went up 😀
@@joannekreutzer752 Yup! Amazing. Thank you for sharing that info.
Exactly on point with the tax shelter. 501 C3 churches are all sell outs to the beast system.
Thank you Zack for your talk! I have to say, the friendships I made while attending church, have been the most meaningful through my lifetime. God Bless your family.
He doesn’t see it that way.. he’s mad about something to have this nattering chat he’s doing!
Preach it! You turned this around to what needed to be said~ YES! It's not about our feelings.
And this is why I love you and Jenn so very much❤😊
I love this video.
Love you guys ❤ this hit me really hard
Thanks for the chat. This world needs more godly men like you, raising up children to love Jesus.
Absolutely agree. On so many levels. Very good barn talk . God bless.
You spoke my heart. I'm happy to know I'm not alone in feeling this way. Thank you.
Great message! It is so important for the man of the house to lead his family just as you said! It is also important to meet with believers. Supporting and encouraging each other is the way we grow. Keep looking until you find the church family that you feel fits your family. Let God lead you where He wants you to serve Him.
Be careful k go 8ó
James 3:10 tells us that blessing and cursing should not proceed out of the same mouth. You are so right. God's house is not a place for talking about others. It is a place to talk about the Lord. I have had to church shop before it can be disheartening. But keep looking you'll find your home. Home with God
👏👏👏
Leviticus 11:1-8
There is no place there should be talking or judging other's. Jesus speaks of this throughout the scripture's.
@Mary Archer Amen!
The church is Christians not a building bible says where two or more are gathered together in thy name.
No your not to hard, your speaking from the heart. I really like Jen’s and your honesty. No need to feel bad.
Wow!! You hit the nail on the head. Thank You!!! I totally agree with all that you have said. Well said!!! God bless you and your family.
I'm so glad you made this. I really think you identified a lot in this video. Good stuff.
Much love.
I was too, but was happy I did also.
“When ever two or more are gathered in my name…”
150 years ago when the rural land mass very much outnumbered the urban land area, home church was the norm.
You just haven’t searched for a good fearing God.. keep searching.. if you’re really looking and want to change.. you’ll find it
@@Caareenkm6726 I live in a very small town with not many options and I don’t need to change for anyone except Jesus Christ we are all sinners and the only way is through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Praise the Lord!
I am 67 years old and to this day I have not found any church that is truly a house of the Lord.
One company where I worked. The first question some of the employees asked: where do you go to church.
I absolutely loved this barn chat. You spoke to my heart.Thank you.

Great message, I truly appreciate how genuine you and your family are truly a breath of fresh air ❤
I added this to my favorites so I can watch this again. My father does this for my family for all of us. He always adds God in everything we do.
Oh man I could really get on my soap box here but I will just smile and say bless you brother.
Don’t get involved with his idle chatter..
Take care
I thank you for this. As a single person by choice, I have been looking for a church. After several years I gave up. I will try again.
Love this. Your right brother.
You ask God to give you discernment and teach you his truth and he will
You are not critiquing them too hard.
You are right. Just like the parable about the wheat and the tares. I believe that is what we all are experiencing.

Your best video as of yet. You have wisdom. Amen.
This was by far my favorite barn chat... a real eye opener. Thank you very much.
I feel ya.
I agree with you we haven't been in Church for 7 months now. We moved and if I look around I can see any Church that I would like to go to.
