    Sir, the population of West Bengal is much more than tamilnadu. But West Bengal has only 16 rajya sabha seats and Tamilnadu has 18 rajya sabha seats. Also the no. of MLAs and loksabha MPs are more in Westbengal than Tamilnadu. But rajya sabha seats are less in WB than TN.
    Why this is so?

    Sir, 4 seats of J&K in RS are to be counted along with States or UT's ?

    • @sandeshgurjar761
      @sandeshgurjar761 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As of Feb 2021 elections to the 4 vacant seats from Jammu and Kashmir were not held in February as the union territory was under President's rule and the assembly had been dissolved. The union territory will get its representation as soon as the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly is elected.
