I agree with the comments about Patricia Bruder (Ellen Stewart) being included, as well as Henderson Forsythe as her husband, David Stewart. What a great cast of actors this show has had for 54 years! Thanks for this moving tribute.
I have watched ATWT for about 50 years. It will be very hard to be without it. For years, I taped it and watched it, after a hard day of teaching, and it was my tool for relaxing. Thank you for this tribute; I only hope they don't replace ASWT with yet another reality or game show. I probably won't start watching another soap. RIP As The World Turns!
I will say you hit the nail on the head with this collection. Everyone of these characters are the ones I consider the "stars" and backbone of ATWT. I could not come up with an additional one that I would have added. Good job! I will miss "those Stewart girls" and Babs the most!
Thank you! ATWT has been blessed to have so many actors stay for so long, or leave and come back to the roles we know and love, or love to hate, them in, and I knew when I started planning my tribute video series that the vets would get their own video. After a couple of months of planning and editing, this is the result. And ICAM that these are the actors and characters that are the the real stars and the backbone of ATWT. I thank them all for the decades of memories.
I only started watching around the Diego/Lily/Holden Storyline but as I looked as these clips I have to give this show it's props. It managed to do what GL didn't do. Hold on to so many of their Castmembers many of which practically grew up before us. In the UK, a Soap called Coronation St. is celebrating it's 50th Anniversary. I would love for Bill Roache (Ken Barlow) who has been on the show since 1960 come to Oakdale as a Visiting Professor and he and Bob talk about their lives.
I absolutely LOVE this video :-) I love the blending of old & new with your clips of the characters, couples, pairings & groups. This is a wonderful tribute!
Patricia Bruder spent at least 35 years on ATWT. She should have been included in these clips. Also Rosemary Prinz, who plays Penny Hughes has been there since the 50's and makes recurring trips to Oakdale celebrations.
Thank you for this lovely video. I so miss ATWT. For many years, I taped it and watched it with a snack when I came home from a day of teaching. It was my tool for relaxation. I remember watching it as a young teenager too. Why did they think we needed another talk show? I'll never watch it. I miss these veteran actors. One of the reasons for cancellation was they said women didn't stay home anymore and watch soaps, so ratings were down. What about the thousands of us who recorded?
I mourn the loss of my show . It was like a death of a loved one . now my show been replaced by lets talk . really !! who decided to cancel the show . was it the dedicated loyal watchers or was it the ones that would not be effected either way . I really miss everyone of the actors that became a part of my life as I watched it for 30 plus years .
@Debbie01yates yeah it could be just you, because i am a younger viewer, age 21 and i watched ATWT for the past 11 years all the way to the end and I will miss it dearly. It truly was the best soap to me. Whenever Y&R pissed me off w/ storylines which was all the time(I don't know about those writers sometimes) but I always had ATWT. Yeah I hated it when we didn't see Bob/Kim/Susan and alot of the other veterans towards like the last 5 years of the show but I still loved it.

I'm going to miss all of them.God bless them all.RIP Nancy Hughes,RIP Benjamin
Wonderful tribute to the vets.
There are so many ways I want this show to end and I know the writers will screw it al up!

This was fabulous. Never heard the song before, but it's also great!

wow this was a very nice treat, thnx for this it was so cute
Thank you! I'm hoping they don't screw it up TOO badly.
There is one that I would have added and that is Patricia Bruder (Ellen Lowell Stewart)
Damn James was Barbra's living nightmare.
This video should have shown all the vets & the actor changes thru the show.
Nicely done. Loved seeing Andy & Kim.
I thought the song was kinda "meh", but not too irritating.
