    I've put 2.8 proline swampers on mine for general bashing and upped the pinion on stock motor, esc. That in combination with vitavon case and tekno shafts in the front has actually let me start to enjoy the truck.

    Hi. I have an old losi scte 1.0 it has mode 1 gears. It makes a loud grinding noise but no where near as loud as yours. I think the noise is from the mode 1 gears. Like the truck. It was fun at the track and almost never breaks.

    Glad you did that test. I have a brand new Mamba I was holding for the right build to come along. I'm thinking about doing an esc swap on my Infraction after seeing your results. The motor is limited to 6s, but it might reduce the initial cogging.

    Man, the minute I got my Senton 3s, I learned I do NOT like sensorless! Adjusting the punch control from stock setting on the BLX esc definitely helped, but eventually if I want to keep working towards racing it, or turning it into a drag car, sensored power will make its way in.

    Still trying to figure out what cogging is...

    • @TRKISH324
      @TRKISH324 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Lol, imagine pulling the trigger and not having immediate reaction from the motor. These motors use magnets, and in an uncensored brushless, the magnets may not be lined up for immediate reaction to the throttle (it's rotating in search for the magnets), whereas a sensored brushless motor knows where the magnets are and has immediate reaction. Senosred are great for crawling, when you need to it to move in a precarious position. Sensorless could have you rolling backwards if you are in the middle or already started your climb but stopped to check positioning.

    • @thizzobishi
      @thizzobishi 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Flupke76 correct since when your bashing you usually go for a bit more throttle when taking off than a crawler normally the instant amount of power can kick it to the next phase quick enough no cog is seen. This is what I suspect is the reason such a diffrence was made. The castle esc has more power delivery capability and is able to supply the motor more juice initiallu.

    I'd be happy to see the Spectrum motor taken apart vs say another Hobbywing or Castle motor....

      @@ExocagedRC for sure! It's cool how much an esc can make a difference. So I found this esc that everyone talks shit about the surpass hobby 150a esc and off course my traxxas esc blew so I thought hey 60 bucks I'll try it. So I put this surpass esc in my Tekno and I kept the same 2000kv motor and I can literally crawl with no coughing what so everi can't believe it. It came with a program card so I turned up the punch and the bec and ect ect and my Tekno is running better than it ever has and I've ran it for about two months now not one issue or failure and I love how I can crawl if I want it feels like a sensored system. And the esc has a huge turbo fan it never even gets hot. I dunno why nobody uses these escs I guess your not cool if you only pay 60 bucks for an esc but I love it never had one issue and it runs better and cooler than my traxxas 6s esc did.
