I love that regardless of how long you’ve been playing (I understand with breaks) you’re not totally Niantic jaded. I love that your video announcements and game-play info vids aren’t you just complaining about how bad the event is. If we want to keep pogo or even grow our community we’re going to do it by finding the positives about what we’re given. You’re great at finding the positive. The vids you make are finding best way to play or the suggestions you give to get the most out of an event or season to help with raids, XP for leveling up, or even the best mons most meta mons to farm candy for and GBL. Thanks for all the work you put into your videos. They really do inspire me to get out and play. Especially your go play series. I even dig the mustache, keep being you dude.

I'm surprised with how early Go Fest is going to be this year. I'm so used to it being in August, but it's good to know in advance. I'll only be able to play the global event, but hopefully they'll still have boosted stationary incense with the ticket like they have for the past couple of years. I really like trying to find Shiny Pokemon, so having more chances to find them when I can't walk around my area would be a big help.

I have to disagree with the idea we've been given a "good advance" notice for the events. Living in Australia, international flights get more and more expensive the closer it gets to the date. 6 months notice would have halved the costs for flights to Japan for me. The 2 & 1/2 months notice we got has really made it hard for me to afford it.
The fact that we can't trade them and hope for better ivs, we can't get them in a different way, and there's no way to increase the iv via special barrier or anything just makes me sad. I happy with some of the quality of life changes they've made, but there is a significantly more that could be done that would just better the game for all tiers of players while they still make a massive profit.
Makes me wonder if they have anything special planned for August. Go-Fest Global has been an August thing since the start and its the perfect way to end the summer
I am expecting Mega Rayquaza raid day also coming in this season too. During Mega Rayquaza raid day a timed research that will last for three hours to complete it, this timed research will award at least second Meteorite once timed research was completed.
I love that it is in July as in August I normally travel to my grandparents (not that good spawns there) and don’t want to wear them out walking all day and want to have time to get on holidays with my family
Thank you for not wasting our time going super into the details of the in-person events, as most people globally won't be able to attend these. It's frustrating that all of the in-person events seem to happen in USA, Japan or London. I live in Australia and we've never had an in-person event, and it's not realistic to ever fly to any of these places for a Pokemon Go event.
Thought they would have learnt from the backlash last year of having special eggs being 7k instead of 10k or 5k because you are only limited to 20 gift openings a day. If it was 5 or 10k eggs then you could easily do more than 20 a day.
I found out and instantly booked off the global weekend (thank god its the weekend before UK Summer Holidays cuz if it was after, I would've had no chance at playing)
Not going to lie, the spawns and shiny hunting are my absolute favorite parts of Go Fest 😅 Also, Idk if this happens for everyone but after each event ends, I get a shiny. Minutes after Go Fest ended last year, I got a shiny Bellsprout, and minutes after Sinnoh Tour ended, I got my 125th shiny Axew.. there's a few other examples but these are the most recent. Does this happen to everyone or is this coincidence/luck?

Yeah you want to be in a high density area so you can do more raids and get more encounters. Especially if you want to get your moneys worth out of the ticket
tbh I was quite disappointed for the dates of the go fest, as a person who only has 6 weeks for summer holidays last year I could do it in london as I live near it, but this time it makes me upset it’s not during holidays and during august which I wish it was. Hopefully next year it won’t be like this

im not gonna buy a single one of these tickets, i thought this first go fest ticket was expensive so im not buying it. Hearing about the Madrid one costing 27 Euro is just insane, i'd rather buy a new game on steam and stop playing Pokemon Go. They are getting too Greedy, just like Blizzard games that' ive now boycotted for the rest of my life, never touching a game from them ever again. You probably will get location cards. and just access to event early and probably better shiny boost then global event - also the park is nice cause alots of photo opps & friends to add

I remember last year with Diancie they shafted us by only receiving one Diancie from either the in person or global. We just got candy for the 2nd round of research which I believe to be unfair. Don’t want to pay an additional $15 for global if we can only receive one again if we decide to go to an in person event.
