Lando has been extremely consistent this season while Piastri has had a numerous number of different positions. yea, he's definitely talented but this is also his first season and he should gain some extra experience before being first driver. Also, one weekend shouldn't determine it
Think that Piastri have been very consistent since UK, with a few minor hickups. If we look at someone lik Lewis Hamilton that has went on to win 7 titles - he actually had 109 points in his rookie season. Compared to Piastri's 83 atm - which could increase. A factor here is that they have 7 more races than back in 2007 - so that is something to keep in mind if he breaks that record. Think he can do it?

Mclaren dosnt have first drivers - the media may crown one, but had this not been Piastri's rookie season, they wouldnt have given lando any preference. if parts only available for one car, they would alternate who gets them - that's what they have always done, at least since Senna
I find it peculiar home dramatic and over reactive F1 media are. There is no reason to choose a number 1 currently. You only need to do that when you need to manage 1 drivers points for a title. Otherwise, go race, get points

All i know is Oscars just gonna keep Norris in check next year. How wouldnt want a line up like that?
Shouldn't read into this too much. Both drivers lost a lap time. Otherwise positions would have been reversed
But if their performances keep at this lever or even improve - then things will get very interesting, won’t they? 🤔
