Pause the video at 0:41. There's no need for Shedden to be running that wide other than to push Collard off.

Shedden is the lead car at that stage and can dictate the racing line. If he so wishes to run over kerbs to stop Collard from having a chance to retake the lead, he can do so as he pleases. Collard is the guilty party here because he doesn’t accept that Shedden has pulled off what any other driver would have done in that situation and decides to force the door wide open with a punt strong enough break parts on the car and off of the car.

Let's be honest about this, no one would bat an eye if collard did the same to Shedden. In fact no one seems to have mentioned collards push on Sheddens rear on the next corner. It's racing that that's why btcc wtcc dtm and Aussie v8 supercars is more exiting than F1.

100%......but it's Honda. And Gow, and the rest of the backroom, were shit scared of ever reprimanding what was, at times, some ridiculously unfair (and often dangerous) driving by that team from both Shedden and Neal. Had they been sanctioned back then as much as they should have been, they wouldn't haven't had anywhere near as much success.....and then hilariously compare that to the, by comparison, micro-infringement of Ricky Collard exceeding track-limits last time out at Brands, yet being reprimanded so severely he didn't even make the podium. An absolute joke. Had been in a Honda, he'd probably have kept the win.
