    Great video, very informative. I haven’t gotten to this stage yet in my setup but this at least shows me how to get set up and started.

    Thanx for doing the vid. I was curious so I tried this. It shot my numbers way off. I am in a right drive car, I selected right drive and my USB HEC. Set my right side tweeter to full and ran it. It gave consistent results, they just were never even close to right. I tried both distance and delay. I'll keep trying but I use a laser ruler and plug in the numbers and they get me 100% better results. I think they might still need to work out some issues with this.

      You're not first person to tell me this about RHD issues. You might be right.

    Since you are about the only one with a video could you possibly do a part 2 on the auto EQ.

      I don't use helix anymore but will try next time I have a customer that does.

    With Helix, do you have to account for LR crossover slope phase change (12/24db) like you do with an analog crossover? Trying to determine if each speaker will need its phase and delay adjusted like you would with an MS8 or an analog crossover network.

    • @xb8slim
      @xb8slim  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I personally have not come to a place where I needed to do that. At most I have played with crossover points... The only time I do try different slopes is with sub.

      Also if possible a brief explanation of ATM and RTA 💐
      My concern is ..I have a 2way full range in rear stage(helix p62 passive)and totally confused if I can do rta (with mic)And adjust the phases with my front stage 3 way which is fully Active .
      My dsp is v8 mk2 (6 channels front Active, 2 channels rear passive)
      Really appreciate your kindness

    I have a helix dsp in my truck but 2 out of my 4 speakers have stopped playing. This has happened before and I replaced my amp with a new amp. I contacted my installer and he is saying the same two channels on my new amp my have gone out or it could be the dsp. My question is can this helix dsp stop 2 speakers from playing? I think this is an install issue and not a dsp or amp issue

    Hey man, thanks for the video. I am not having any luck with this. I am using a newer version 4.75, but that shouldn’t matter.
    It is not hearing my UMM 6 mic and the speaker display it has with the red checks doesn’t match what I have on the IO screen at all.
    Any help would be great.

      Ran into this tuning for a customer... 1st time it's happened. Currently I do not know the fix.

    Did the auto timealignment measuments match what a tape measure would give you because mine don't. Some say 0 some say 10.23 " just wondering if I am doing this correctly.

    Are you disengaging your crossovers while doing this? Trying to figure out why mine is so off.

    • @xb8slim
      @xb8slim  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No I am not. Usually it's the 'set to full' issue in the IO screen

    What type of microphone can we use? Can we use the plug in earphone with mic or the laptop mic?

    • @Turb0Yoda
      @Turb0Yoda 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dayton’s UMM-6 is what he said he used in another post. The UMIK-1 from MiniDSP and Audiofrogs UMI-1(might have that one wrong) are also alternatives.

    What is the difference between delay and distance mode?

    • @andreaskern1437
      @andreaskern1437 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's the same, delay have a time specification and distance a specification in inch or meter. Sorry for my englisch.

    I was using digital input as source but everytime it say unsuccessful measurement

    • @xb8slim
      @xb8slim  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the first version of this... It was only RCA input...
      If you updated to where it can use the digital input ... Couple of maybes...
      Mark all unused channel to not used in the I/O screen.
      Depending on setup... My sub and others had to be cranked way up and even one we had to temporarily disable the crossover so the pop would play.
      Also I forgot to mention in the video... The distance to near speaker box, to the right of left or right hand drive... Set it to something that like 100cm. Otherwise it won't be right if it does finish.
