- New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon has sat down with Sky News Australia in a wide-ranging interview.
Mr Luxon said his “immediate focus” will be on addressing the challenges in the economy.
“My primary job is to get New Zealand turned around and back on track,” he told Sky News New Zealand Correspondent Jack Nyhof.
“We have a major set of economic challenges.
“I want to restore law and order, and I want to make sure that we deliver better government and better public services.”

As far as I know Jacinda Ardern in her 6 years as PM never had an interview with Sky news Aust. Chris Luxon is on the right track because he has intelligent members from all 3 coalition partners. It will be a rough ride for a while but lets hope a Labour led progressive state control govt never happens again in NZ.

After only 5 months in power Luxon`s popularity has gone down fast ! Mainly due to reversing popular policies of the previous government, along with 1000s of job cuts which have increased unemployment, & new laws favouring greedy landlords : (
Last time Luxons party were in power one USA resident owned 200 Auckland rental properties, & one China resident owned 150. Ardern`s government helped young home buyers by blocking foreigners from buying rentals here, & had popular policies to restrict tobacco use.
Luxons new pay rise for politicians means he will get an extra $50,000 a year, bringing his yearly pay to $520,000. He owns 7 properties, which made him $4 million last year alone,
On top of that Luxon has found a spare $3 billion in the public purse & is already giving it All to landlords ! LOL : )
Luxons government is now 6 points behind the opposition in the latest poll - the worst result ever for a new NZ government ! !

Weather in nz isn’t bad da f you on I’m sorry but the landscape in nz especially the South Island beat aussies hands down. Southern alps , Milford Sound , Mt Aspiring national park . Anyone who loves scenery prefers nz over Australia I know this for a fact as I work in tourism and I met all the travellers across the world
