  • As a warning: the Arch Linux devs said if this happens again, they will put XeroLinux and its developer on a blacklist.
    I'd hate to see what would have happened if Arch decided to go after him publicly. It'd completely ruin his life in free software and I don't wish that on people.
    But that's why it's so important to resolve this stuff between mutual parties instead of telling them to back off. If he had listened to me, there'd be no problem and hardly anyone would know what happened. Now Arch developers are aware he was violating their license and that puts him in a very dangerous position.

    There were successful GPL lawsuits, so GPL is enforceable, but probably not yet in Lebanon.
