- Both Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail has its own fun to play. But through playing those two games, I noticed something about it. They are both mihoyo game, but there are still alot of different. So I made a comparision video about genshin vs star rail. It's for entertaining only, don't take it serious.

I like Star Rail more since it's turn based, simple non-complex gameplay, faster grinding than GI, and has autoplay, so i can play the game even at work

that is a true casual game not like Genshin even if most of its audience is casual players. Genshin is not a game that you can do auto play or play even at work

Glad they took most of the good stuffs of Honkai Impact to Star rail like Simulated Universe and pantsu and added Genshin's stuff like exchange system in the shop, visuals and open world.

They didn't take good things in Honkai Impact to HSR, it is more like Honkai Impact is where Mihoyo devs test out their new game features for their new game. Some of Honkai Impact's semi-open world, especially Odessey features where used as baseline for Genshin. On HSR on the other hand we see Elysian Realm on it's full glory.

Edit: I have 19 5 star character if you count traveler
For me honkai impact still has the best combat system. So satisfying to actually kill your enemies by your own hands.
And actual dodging skills are required instead of just dashing lol. But there is one good thing about the Honkai Verse, you don't hear Paimon's annoying voice, asking dumbass questions and stating the obvious for you and being so useless while being your "Traveler Guide"
EDIT - I also forgot to mention that Honkai Bosses are harder to beat compared to "Strong" Bosses in Genshin Impact. It takes effort to kill even normal enemies in Honkai Impact even though Honkai Characters are stronger than Genshin Characters (Even Non Herrschers can clap 7 Archons). Also there's no such thing as a shielder in Honkai Impact, that's why the gameplay is so thrilling. Whereas if you have Zhongli in your Genshin team, gameplay is just boring because you know his shield ain't gonna break, but imagine if they included KEVIN in Star Rail as a shielder and DPS😂

I get the humour having played both games.
But people who are seriously comparing both games to see which is better should stop. They are different games. Those who have played mobile turn based games will appreciate HSR while those who like action RPG will like Genshin. They are different genres of games.

Agreed. I'm playing both games because both are unique in their own way. They both even have their own different stories. It's like people saying the original Mario and Sonic are the same thing because of the graphics and playing style being similar.
but I'm REALLY surprised people aren't comparing HI3 to HSR, they're literally the same but in parallel universes(at least by lore). welt yang is literally from the HI3 universe and travelled to HSR by will. plus they also implemented basically the elysian realm and HI3 BP system(the one that goes from 0-500), but I'm kind of glad they aren't comparing them both though, it will just bring more toxicity to the table, Also HI3 > HSR.
It’s just the genre tho, the rest is a complete ripoff and improvements that could be on genshin were made in star rail, comparisons would be invalid if said improvements could be done in one game but not on the other, but that’s not the case with most improvements
@@saba-rr8dw They don't compare Honkai Impact to Star Rail for two simple reasons. HI fans use HSR to throw shit in Genshin because both games have the same name therefore Honkai > Genshin. And then you have the Genshin haters who are players who got burned by playing Genshin and now use HSR to also throw shit at Genshin and most of those didn't play HI...

I play genshin from the day it released it is really good tho recommended if you like to explore wich I also like, that why genshin still my favorite
But overall honkai star rail wins
Different mechanics, Soundtrack and how characters interact each other make this game win and make my favorite easy to understand and all characters are useful I don't feel the " meta this or meta that"
So definitely honkai star rail is the winner

Going from genshin impact damage to HSR damage was a humbling experience. And I wasn’t even doing big damage in genshin, 3k at most!

The only thing I hate about star rail is that they removed the jump button 😭 when I was tapping where the jump button was in geshin I wasn’t there

Being able to auto my boring daily/weekly chores, speed up the combat, faster loading times from quick travel thanks to no open world, not gated by stupid stamina so I can actually move fast. Yeah I think I'll stick to HSR.

Worth noting on the pantsu comparison, HSR characters may have better choices in garments, but it's easier to see them in genshin. Literally just go gliding.

Ya dont want hoyoverse to nerf Asta's pantsu's like they did with Ayaka and the genshin characters.
I only do that auto play thing just when I'm doing my home work so that i can get materials for my characters and exp levels while I'm studying but when it comes to hard enemies hell no i rather to do the fight myself than trusting the auto play
The autoplay is pretty good in this game, especially when you have a healer. So far i could beat every enemy with autoplay (except the ones where its not availible)
