Excellent overview! What I loved most about it is that this video was almost unnecessary. Nearly everything in Owlbear Rodeo is easily “discoverable” (to use a UX term), and it encourages fun experimentation. At a UX level, you are in a fundamentally different class than all other VTTs I’ve seen. Instead of burdening with clunk, you liberate with joyful ease! Thank you.

Thank you for the compliment! We try hard to make the platform easy to access and use, so that the majority of your energy can go into the social and storytelling aspects of running your game, and is not squandered in complex setup and long delays searching for things!

@@ranty_fugue Very true. Seeing everything explained in detail was a good reminder, though. I knew those features were there, I just didn't use them well.

Fantastic! Watching this has inspired me to spend a few hours organizing my rather messy collection of assets. No more scrambling for magic effects in the middle of a session.

The dynamic fog was added recently, but I have an issue with it. If there are multiple tokens on the map and each token is owned by a different user, it doesn't matter since the users can see the vision of other tokens. I don't like this since sometimes players will be separated on the same map and won't know what the others are seeing since they aren't there. Adding a way to where someone can only see the vision of their own token would be nice.

If you graduate to using the _Smoke & Spectre!_ extension then you can choose to have per-player vision, but that is not a feature of the simpler _Dynamic Fog_

Make a video on how to use dynamic fog.
    Please

Hi, thanks for the video - good, useful information.
How do you "prep in a private room while the players are in a shared room" as stated?
    also,
Is there a file format that is preferred/works/better/loads faster for maps?
    lastly,
Is there a way I can tell how much data space I've consumed in my paid account?
    Thanks!

      1. Open two browser tabs; go to your shared Room URL in one (the same as you gave to your players), and go to your non-shared Room URL in the other browser tab, then by switching browser tabs you go between the current game session with your players and your private prep space.
      2. webp format for static images and webm for animations are the recommended options.
      3. Go to the 'Extras' menu in any of your Rooms (Ctrl-E or the three-dot button in the lower left corner) and then open 'Manage Storage' to see your current usage.
