- The work presented today is one of #Bach's most popular #organ pieces. Its appealing and endearing character derives from the theme, which is structured in a songlike manner with a great sense of form and constantly remains the main subject.
For the sake of the musical primacy of the theme, its #contrapuntal treatment and accompaniment remain merely a frame. After the first exposition (measures 1-22), there is a series of individual developments: first, a humoristical narrowing, whereby the actual theme entry in the soprano (measure 26) is obscured by figuration of the first two quarters as sixteenth notes, then two entries in the parallel major key of B-flat major (measures 33 and 41), and ultimately - after an interlude - an entry in the subdominant key of C minor. The piece then returns to the original key of G minor, followed by a splendidly formulated upbeat, under which the theme is once again placed in the pedal.

Hallo Tobias. Die Intonation beruht lose auf dem von Kisselbach mitgelieferten 'Deutsch'-Stil, ist aber inzwischen über die letzten 18 Monate deutlich von mir überarbeitet worden. Die allermeisten Register habe ich nach meinen Idealen nachintoniert.
Ein tolles Instrument ! Ich habe gegoogelt, es kostet zwischen 13.000 und 19.000 EUR.
Obwohl ich ein großer Bach-Fan bin - wenn Sie ein paar Millionen Klicks haben wollen, spielen Sie mal Interstellar Filmmusik von Hans Zimmer.

@@orgellmann Interstellar würde ich nicht als "Gassenhauer" bezeichnen. Als Orgelfan müssen Sie sich unbedingt das ansehen. Unter "Hans Zimmer - making of INTERSTELLAR Soundtrack" gibt es ein TH-cam-Video, aber auf der Blue Ray "Interstellar" gibt es ein ausführlicheres Making of. Die Interstellar Musik ist durchaus etwas Bach-geprägt und zieht sich durch den ganzen Film. Es gibt keinen anderen großen Hollywood-Film, wo die Orgelmusik derart prägend und dominant ist.

This organist obviously has much positive potential. Unfortunately he also has the tragic tendency to unconsciously drag his tempo down in a way that suggests an even more tragic reason: For years, my keyboard playing was sabotaged by undiagnosed (or inadequately diagnosed) immune-related candida-yeast-induced, crippling inflammatory arthritis, which at times almost paralyzed my hands and fingers. It took nearly twenty years to find ways to heal me of almost all of it. I seriously recommend (and I promise the organist I intend ABSOLUTELY NO offense!) that he consult a professional rheumatologist and a neurologist to determine whether or not he is truly free of any variety of arthritis or of carpal tunnel syndrome. His unintentional compulsive ritardando throughout much of the piece is not one of deliberate intent and suggests instead a cumulative, insidious but hopefully treatable neuromuscular disability that could bring his otherwise promising career to an untimely end.
