I didn't know they put an N47 into this generation Mini. Was looking at buying one but assumed they would have used the excellent PSA 2.0 HDi in it!
They are good engines, bar the chain, excellent mpg.
Is there a further video for the actual Timing Chain replacement ?
There is… it’s in the list of editing.
I never saw you disconnect the battery? Is there a certain procedure to do that? Thanks
No, just disconnect battery neg lead.
@@Roverturbo thank you, great video, looking to start same job today, mini with the death rattle!
@thetrainrailboy good luck..👍
what is up with it is it timing chain dont like those minis so much squeezed in great video
Timing chain yes, There's a part 1
Currently doing this on my Wife’s countryman all4, pain in the butt of a design. Throwing a dual mass and clutch it whilst it’s all out!
WTF? The steering wheel is on the WRONG SIDE??? Can you fix that?
Think you’ll find it’s on the RIGHT side.
jesus F christ! i have to fix a oil leak and a/c leak and i just figured i WILL have to remove the engine! OMFG
Welcome to the modern world…!!
@@Roverturbo not in my BMW, or my mercedes. Lots of parts to remove? yes, but nothing like this! LOL
