Austin, I want commitment for that Flight Risk review. Wahlberg shaved his head so naturally so should you! Its only fair. Especially for a movie as peak as Flight Risk 😂
Hey Austin, wanted to put a film on your radar that just came out today, The Colors Within. Heavily recommend it, it’s a sweet little film about a girl helping two other kids come into their own because she can see the “colors” deep within them. It’s slower paced, but a comforting and neat little film 👍
If I recall, this is the same director (Naoko Yamada) that also did A Silent Voice, which is not only an essential animated movie to watch (it's brilliant), but was infamous for being snubbed at The Oscars in favor of The Boss Baby...
@ras_732 correct you are. The origins of my bad blood with the Academy and the Oscars. A Silent Voice is my 9th favorite film ever too :) And Colors Within was excellent imo, easy 9/10
First time viewer here. I agree on several of these points. I go into movies blind usually so I don’t know who’s in it or the director til I leave the theater usually. But I was curious about this one because it was getting great critic scores and as im watching I’m wondering about some of the acting and the lines? But it was an alright movie for a pretty bare bones story. The last thing I’ll say is it felt like a good student film sometimes haha
I agree with most of your points, Austin, but I think I ultimately liked it less than you did. I experienced a bit of motion sickness near the start, which didn't help, but also nothing quite landed for me. It's not terrible but I feel this is pretty low-tier Soderbergh.
Movie has a good twist however when in comes to the Presence, I would have rather been Absent! It will be a good Netflix or Amazon movie. Not a big screen watch. Imagine cost to make was pretty low 😮
First time watching you, and I like it. It is refreshing to see a You Tube critic that doesn’t just go with Rotten Tomatoes or what every other You Tube critic thinks. That said, this movie was not scary at all. You never really know what’s going on between the mother and father. It just plays out like a worse version of something between the Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity (both bad movies too in my opinion). This is the generation that will say The Exorcist 1973 is not scary or good; but they will like crap like Presence 2025. This movie was a complete waste of time 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Still not recovered from Emilia perez 13 nomination truma
SAMEEEE
It was gonna happen
@@AustinBurkeAt least u got a hit tweet
I keep hearing about this movie and how shitty it is, i wanna watch just to see what everyone is talking about but i dont at the same time💀
So glad to see Lucy Liu back on the big screen, and in a horror film, no less.
It's def not a horror movie, drama with Supernatural elements
A very 80s introduction; I like it! Emilia Pérez received 13 Oscar nominations please make it make sense; did I cross over into a bizzaro universe? 😂
I have zero clue. It’s wild.

Oh very nice, thank you!

I saw it a few days ago and it was a nice little film. The songs slap.

Anybody know the song that Tyler was blasting when Ryan comes over? It sounds like Jack White but I can't see anything on soundtrack sites.
Definitely liked it more than you did. Agreed that people are going to hate it though.
I really dig this too.
Interesting how low this score is since it has a good critics score

Scare factor is Zero.

Oh no I get motion sickness from camera movement. So this movie has a lot of it?
Best horror movie of the year.. of the month you ask ? How about Flight Risk !!!

Pacing issues? It's literally 85 mins.
Yeah… Not good when you have that problem being less than 90 minutes
He's right about that
Pacing wasn't great
Is it like a ghost story?
Ghost Story is actually better than this.
Idk why but I balled my eyes at the end of the movie 😊

Looks like the same haunted house film weve seen 50 thousand times.
Def not
THE SCARIEST THING IS THAT EMILIA PEREZ GOT BLOODY 13 noms
Presents 🎁 🎁 🎁
The movie is underwhelming. Tyler was not a good actor.
Exactly his acting felt half assed
