I saw these guys at the last Soundwave in Sydney. It was mid Summer, hot as all f==k and these guys were on a pirate ship, wearing full furs and swinging axes around the stage. \m/

You have to appreciate a band that can play live exactly like they do in the studio. There's no point in them making a live album because it sounds exactly the same lol
well kind of. First kill is played a half step lower on the studio album, but I know what you mean
I think a lot of that is the sound guys doing. I've been to some shows where the mix is awful and you can't hear guitars or the singer is drowned out by the instruments. So props to their sound techs and for the band caring enough about live sound to not only hire someone who's good at their craft but to hold them to a high standard.
@@franky9928 no one said anything about the band not playing. Cool that you play Guitar me too. Have you ever recorded a song with other instruments or even one with two guitars? To make it not sound awful you have to adjust the levels of each instrument individually. What @Cody Riske meant, ist that the Sound guy knows what he's doing and can mix the live sound properly. That means the Band is playing and the sound guy lowers the output of the kit, raises the singers output and some more, to make it audible. He's not fucking with any midi tracks or effects. Of cause there are effects on the guitars (delay, reverb, noise gate, distortion, phaser) and vocals and so on but they are the players doing.
@@franky9928 I never said they weren't playing. I said the sound is mixed poorly so hearing individual instruments is difficult. Guitar too low so you can't hear the solos, vocals too low so lyrics are drowned out by the other instruments. And I never said AA has this problem. Advice: go back to elementary school to learn some reading comprehension. Damn!

Smh. I would be downing every horn filled with Viking Blöd and making sure Amon Amarth saw my appreciation, respect and honor of them and our Viking Heritage..
@@lotsapasta0858 yeah same for me too. It's hard to really get into 'em. They're good N all but, taking them seriously is something else. Too much of a concept band. I've always thought bands with gimmicks are laughable. They'd be good for pre-game tailgate party in the parking lot at a Minnesota Vikings N.F.L. football game! But not to a point where I'd buy action figures of the band members & believe they were actually sent here from the past. 🙄 Save the drama.
