"Death in Fire" was the first song i ever heard from Amon Amarth and it was an instant all time favorite - like almost every song i heard afterwards.
The first one I heard was Prediction of Warfare. The rest of my story is the same as yours...
this song is metal AF

everything is legendary and I never witnessed anything like this with another band. I never said I like every song of Iron Maiden, Metallica, Manowar etc.
Only the songs of AA are all good
Same was 1st and only for few years until I discovered rest... What a pity it was not earlier...
Fun fact i saw these guys in 2008 with the sounds of the underground tour. It was raining and thundering before thier set. Half way through they invoked the god thor and said something like "clear this rain so we can play" a crash of thunder rang out, they lights flickered and it cleared.
We moshed so hard that morning in the name of thor!!!

Once Sent from the Golden Hall was the first album I heard in the early 2000's and I was blown away. AA raised the bar with their lyrics, ferocity and talent
