Most interior designer own their homes and so they've become disconnected with the limitations of what many can do with their living situations as a renter. I love that because you rent, you still "get it", lol. The board and batton you did in your old apartment looks amazing and I'm curious about maybe trying the same with my bedroom. I have a kind of long wall where the bed is supposed to go thst would look cute with that design running the length of it.
I love your videos. So pleasant and inspiring. I agree about terracotta plant pots. I switched all mine out, and also started keeping a diary for the watering schedule and use a water meter - they have both really helped keep my plants healthy and stopped me over-watering. I also swapped all my potting compost for coco coir soil. The coco coir really eliminated the fungus gnat issue I'd previously had. Your home is stunning and I love the privacy film :-) Thanks for sharing.
So many great ideas 💡 I personally don’t enjoy diy (I only like to watch others do diy on TH-cam 😅), so this was perfect for me. Simple hacks with great impact 😊
We are so lucky to be saving up for a kitchen renovation. One of the things I really noticed about myself after watching some of your videos is that I love to rearrange and switch things out. So my kitchen will be mostly unfitted. I love Hoosier cabinets for work stations. When my tastes change I can buy a different piece. Plus it’s going to save thousands making a renovation actually possible with the current economy.

I will forever regret that I threw away a flat wooden cigar box someone gifted to me with ugly stickers on it and weeks later I saw someone who diy'ed a similar cigar box with pretty used post stamps, a coat of clear paint and used it as a box for stamps. That would have been it! Aaaaargh, I will forever regret that... Didn't find a similar box so far. My tip: Always google for DIY's before you about to throw something away or buy an expensive new version of it.

We bought a vacuum robot a few months back and run it every morning; this has helped A LOT with the dust build up! Every month or two when I do clean the decor (I do a rotation in which every Sunday I clean one or two rooms), I'm surprised by how little dust there is 😆
The checkered one in the living room was from Zara, and the one in the bedroom was from Wayfair! But they're both long sold out. Other places I like are Benuta, Ikea and Kibek :)
