Love this group even when I was 11 years old! Jack Benny was such a great guy and I thought he was old back then! LOL

To the best of my knowledge, they were not only the only Filipino-American rock n' roll group during the late '50's/early 1960's to chart in the US, but also the only Asian American rock n' roll act to chart here in the US.

Their hit song "Killer Joe" was one of my favorites!

THere were a few Asian acts (Kyu Sakamato and the Kim Sisters) but they were born in Asia.

That was too funny. I saw this yesterday on Antenna TV and I was too good. Those children were so professional, how they keep composure was excellent, bc had that been me, I would have been on the floor dying!!!

The first (I think) Filipino and Asian American rock n' roll band to hit US chart success.

Thanks, Marshaird, for putting this up; GREAT CLIP!!! "Killer Joe" was popular just around the time I started listening to the local Southern California top 40 stations ('63) but I don't recall hearing it then. I think I have actually become familiar with the Rocky Fellers from listening to the Little Steven Underground garage radio program, he seems to work KJ into his playlist every couple of months. Thanks again, this is very cool.

At 3:17, in the original network broadcast, Jack said, "Well, good night, folks- and I'll be seeing you next week, for Jell-O" [General Foods and State Farm Insurance were Benny's alternate sponsors at the time].
