This looks like a much better quality low budget scope than the DSO138 that a lot of people go for as their first cheap hobby scope. And not much more expensive.
My FNIRSI just arrived today and its great. Way more stable than my old DSO150 or whatever it is. Very happy. Super useful for those 5 minute jobs when you don't need to break open the real scope
Thanks, Paul! I really like both those products. To be honest, though, i have found my small yellow FNIRSI scope to be excellent for the few times i have needed a small mobile scope, instead of my regular one in the workshop. I dont have enough money for all this stuff you show, though, Paul! Lol! Thanks for the show!
Excellent video as usual. Could you do an extended review of the PSU, please? Would be nice to see how it performs under different kinds of load. Also, where is your beloved Micsig 1104C oscilloscope? Haven’t seen that on your videos lately and it is also missing from your list of the gear you currently use. Thanks, Paul.
Thank you for this great video. Why does it give variable readings without connecting the probes..Is this a defect of this device? Shouldn't the value be zero without measure?
Nice little scope. Would really like to see a dual channel version of that! Have you see the HS402 dual channel 1Mhz scope that you can hook up to your phone/tablet, and use with Hscope?
Dang... I just bought myself one of the yellow FNIRSI pocket scopes! I wish I'd seen this video first; the kickstand on the back would have been enough to sway me to the 1C15! Thanks for the video.
The 1C15 is neat little oscilloscope. It would be nice if the analogue settings (timebase, Y scale, and trigger) were implemented using rotary encoders for ease of use. Ideal for site work though. And very cheap!
I downloaded the manual for the adjustable PSU from manufacturer's website, and it says "Output ripple: 100mV peak-to-peak value". (They are currently £36 on ebay)
I have a love hate relationship with this channel. I love the stuff you show on the channel. I hate that I can't afford to buy it all. That scope looks fantastic for the price. Actual 100 mhz scope for sub 100 bucks can't be beat.
I am very thankful to you. I was completely confused, wasn't sure. I didn't want to waste of my money. I am subscribing. And I will buy this hand oscilloscoop from AliExpress too. I found very handy and ready-to-use😉 No need very complicated and expensive table, USB oscilloscoop, or tablet types. Just put in your technical repair bag or hobby works, students learning or so.. Regards
Great reviews Paul. Keep up the good work. I just hope you get genuine subscribers who stick around after the giveaway because your channel has so much to offer. I especially love the circuits you should know series.
I was surprised to see that scope handle 100Mgh and that power supply looks really cool. can you do a tear down of that power supply? I think I want one hopefully it’s not to expensive. Great video Paul, I alway look forward to whet you come up with next.
hi how do i register to one of this give away's?, i remember you posted a video about it, but i can't find it. i have been a subscriber on your channel for almost 2 years and i have learned a lot, and i am wanting to build a 3 phase pure sine inverter with a peak of around 60 kilo watts and continues power of 24kw so my wife and i can have 3 phase power of both 220 and 110v at 3 phase, when we move to our off grid property. i always wanted a scope, and when finely was about to go look for one you posted this video, i have never won anything in my life i though why not try my luck. i love the small power supply what is the max voltage and amp's?
@@learnelectronics i find it, but it's telling me a have already responded? (i tried to register to your website an hour ago, and i got this email "Hi Oz, Welcome to Google on your new Huawei Valiant account" is that it?

About 8hrs, i think, as it is the same battery as my yellow one. You can run it with any USB powerbank though too, so it is very portable with extended time.
Hi there friend, I reckon we are of a similar age, and judging by your videos' we are at a similar level of knowledge- maybe you are a bit further along than me though as I have learned a few things off you. Just wanted to say big thanks for showing this particular vid, as I am toying with buying an oscilloscope and just not sure yet which one. I already got the barebones kit one and built it, but it is fairly limited. so this was very useful info. Thanks Buddy
I really expected the scope to crap out at 100MHz but there it is! Seemed.to be struggling a bit, form was off compared to the even sine on the Siglent, but still very impressive. Wow, this is going to be the most generous giveaway, all the more for being a channel that isn't backed by a big corporate budget. Good man.
It's ridiculous how cheap simple scopes have become over the last few years. With all the accessories on top! I wonder whether they are safe to use with higher voltages. Being detached from earth ground they look useful for debugging switching POS, for example.
Paul, i tryed to become one of your patreon's, but it kept bringing me to a page saying that i already have a patreon page. and it wanted me to log in but i couldn't remember the password. NOW I DON'T EVER REMEMBER CREATING A PATREON PAGE FOR MY SELF.(to be truthful iv no need for one at all) COULD YOU HELP ME OR DIRECT ME TO YOUR PATREON PAGE SO I CAN BECOME ONE FOR YOU. THANK YOU! AND ANY HELP FROM ANYONE READING THIS WILL BE APPRECIATED A WHOLE LOT.. BECAUSE ITS NOT THE 1ST TIME IV TRIED THIS ON PAUL'S CHANNEL AND GOT LET DOWN!! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS..
Im going to buy a bottle of champagne for when ya get the 100K, im sure my dad will help me drink it coz im not a big drinker.. I'll get it next week and hold it for the special day/night. id say some of your other long time subscribers will do something similar to celebrate it too. ; ) now to watch the video & get back to ya with my thoughts on it!! : ) EDIT: OK watched the video and love both of those products. the scope i like, & that carry case for it is excellent. now the power supply.. that's something id love so don't forget me when your giving that away ; ) P.S. what price was the PSU By the way????

Definitely the best handheld O-Scope so far. The power supply looks interesting too. Good stuff, as usual, thanks for the video!
Is there a type that has two channels, and what is the maximum readable voltage؟؟

A couple of nice pieces of equipment especially with their small size. Thanks, Paul.
Great video on this o'scope from FNIRSI. Thanks for all the work you put in to teach us about electronics.
Thank you for this great video.
Why does it give variable readings without connecting the probes..Is this a defect of this device?
Shouldn't the value be zero without measure?
Why should i chose this over DANIU ADS5012H which is easier to use and more precise?Any difference in features?
Nice little scope. Would really like to see a dual channel version of that! Have you see the HS402 dual channel 1Mhz scope that you can hook up to your phone/tablet, and use with Hscope?
No, but I'll look it up
That is fantastic for such a tiny scope. Perfect for beginners.

Damn you man. I had to order it. I was keeping me up at night. I am addicted to cheap meters and oscilloscopes because of you.
Sorry to feed your addiction
Quick question if I use a 9v barrel plug power supply what’s the max output voltage would be?
Great Video. What is the maximum frequency it can measure reliably? On the tablet-based unit (FNIRSI 1C15), you said 30Mhz. Thanks
I downloaded the manual for the adjustable PSU from manufacturer's website, and it says "Output ripple: 100mV peak-to-peak value". (They are currently £36 on ebay)
What do you use in order to show the same display on both oscilloscopes?
thanks for the great video!
T splitter

This little scope is a game changer in my opinion. It's a very nice entry level scope and it brings down the barrier to entry to electronics hobbying
Great reviews Paul. Keep up the good work. I just hope you get genuine subscribers who stick around after the giveaway because your channel has so much to offer. I especially love the circuits you should know series.
Can you measure the ac current from the socket? What is the maximum RMS voltage which you can measure?
Dear
learnelectronics, thank you for you answer
As you answered to me, i'll unsubscribe too
The oscillascope looks great for the price.
is it really a 100mhz scope?
I was surprised to see that scope handle 100Mgh and that power supply looks really cool. can you do a tear down of that power supply? I think I want one hopefully it’s not to expensive. Great video Paul, I alway look forward to whet you come up with next.
I would think the power supply should be supplied by a somewhat hefty power input. Hope that makes sense.
nice overview of the equipment. thank you.
Nice items
Pretty cool oscilloscope :)
Great reviews. So the PSU is DC in DC out? Sort of a buck converter?
Yep

I would recommend the Hantek DSO5702P
@@learnelectronics I was seriously considering that one, so thanks. I shall go with it. Cheers.
One thing I have learned over the years, you don't really know something until you start teaching about it!
Hey Paul, that is a very cheap oscilloscope with a very big screen. Thanks for the review - stay save! greets from austria
