Absolutely! Already planning for the spring! Was going this month to the Mirage but cancelled because of the mess from F1 race! Looking forward to Silverton!

Looks Awesome, I come for conferences a couple of times a year and will consider a few days there next trip. Something different vs std strip experience but still very nice
They looked really nice. The breakfast grill looked great for a good start for the day,
I really like the Travel Ruby channel. Nowadays I watch a lot of Ruby Slots, but this channel shows Ruby’s knowledge and expertise in food, style, general Vegas stuff, etc. Ruby has a certain credibility and/or relatability that keeps me coming back! OBTW, I always enjoy a Mr. Ruby cameo or entry on the Slot channel!!
At least she didn’t ditch her main channel for her slot one like another person did.

The Silverton in my opinion is one of the most underrated local casinos in Vegas. I go there all the time. Awesome location and tons to do there 😎
Just the breakfast steak and eggs for $9.99 is worth it.
I need a resort in a mini version and I think Silverton fits it! No walking for miles to get from room to casino floor. Nice restaurant options and plenty of fun things to do.
I’ve always thought the mermaid bar and show is one of the best hidden gems in Vegas, even before the remodel. Great to see how they’ve refreshed the place.
I have watched Travel Ruby for years and this is my favorite channel to visit - and I have never even been to Vegas or have plans to go. Just such a good vibe here! It’s always a better day when there’s a new TR video!
Why didnt you mention anything about the Bass Pro Shops? That is an important part of their venue.

I’ve stayed there a couple times and it’s very comfy and cozy. The beds are the best I’ve ever slept on while staying in a hotel, motel etc. Love the Mermaid tank and the restaurant was good and not crazy priced! Never won any money though. The pool was very cozy too! If you like a fun but quieter atmosphere this is the place for you. All the restaurants are new and the bars too!

Rooms are charging a bit high for its location. Many days are over $200 exclude resort fee. Pass on that.
Just inform them in writing that you have no interest in using their resort, you're just there to sleep.
I've been subscribed and watching your channel all of this year and you present some of the best videos on what's going on in Las Vegas. You have a wonderful relationship with the camera and your video production is outstanding. Keep up the great work, can't wait for the next episode.
I've stayed at the Silverton many times before the remodel. I'm planning on visiting this December for the "New Digs" as it were. It's my all time favorite place to make a "home base" when in Vegas. They do (or did) have a free shuttle bus several times a day to the strip, dropping people off at the Aria so it's a great deal and it's close to the airport. I found out about this place from watching a rerun of one of Anthony Bourdain's show on the Travel Channel (No Reservations I think)....way before the tragedy of 2018. Anyhow, this is the best place if you are not into the loud drunkeness, have kids and appreciate a low-key yet down-home class. Both the MiCasa and the Sundance Grill have great options and are quite reasonable. Love this place!
It's really amazing how nice some of the off-Strip casinos can be. My son, who loves Fremont Street and the center Strip area, was blown away by Red Rock last time we visited.

Silverton really stepped up their game. The place looks great. I do agree. They need more fast food options. Did they have valet or free parking? And how was the walking distance for ADA guests?
According to their website parking is free.
I have been there a couple times. The parking is free and not that far from the entrance. Getting around there is easy also. We enjoyed it. I always consider distance and accessibility.
Really nice. Looks great. All around. Of course it being brand new that helps a lot. Love those rooms. They did a good job with the remodeling. Nice to see nice hotels/casinos like this one off the Strip. The prices too aren’t bad.
That is so great that they give you mugs to go with your Kcups! I I stayed in a suite at Mandalay Bay on the top floor, I believe it’s the 62nd floor a couple of weeks ago. They had a Keurig coffee maker however, no Keurig cups to put in there and absolutely no cups no wear nothing even though we had like a half a kitchen in our suite! It’s great that Silverton has really elevated their rooms.
That looked really wonderful. I like a western theme. But also it seemed solid and really quiet. My next Vegas stay, I need to prioritize a quiet room. I've done the strip, so off strip might be pretty nice.
Love the fresh look of the Silverton. That was where we would stay when we came from Wisconsin to visit my mother in law and her husband before they bought a house in Vegas

Wow! This is a good off-strip stay! Love the robust cozy rustic theme. If you can't stand the rat race of the strip or if you think Red Rock is too far away then this would be my go to place! (Best places I've seen so far to stay in Vegas...On strip: ParkMGM/Nomad, Off strip: Silverton, Downtown: a tie between El Cortez and Circa.)

When I lived in Vegas the last time from 99 to 08, we were literally like fixtures there. Gambling at least 5 nights a week. I remember when they opened the Sundance Restaurant! It’s a nice restaurant, always good food. I really like that it’s easy in and out, always parking available.

Used to work at Silverton years ago and the vibe was always awesome! If it wasn’t for the lousy pay and poor experience with certain higher-ups I would’ve stayed. It’s a very beautiful resort and the updates are amazing. Love that elevated rustic vibe.
I worked in the buffet in 2013
I was a coin runner there back in 95/96. It was an ok place to work back then. My best memory of the place was the black chef in the employee dinning room who made the best omelettes ever. Everyone ordered one and they were so big that they would fill entire plate.

VERY nice tour of everything. We haven't been by the Silverton in years, and that was just to play, not stay. It looks so nice, and with the Strip in such a mess, lately, the Silverton looks very inviting.

I stayed there a really long time ago. The rooms were basic but nice and clean. We Ate at Johnny Rockets and starbucks. We loved being able to go thru Bass pro shop. It was a nice place
Love the look of a resort that has such great and unique architecture and landscaping that a guest can forget they're in Las Vegas.
Just shot a commercial for Silverton at Silverton! It’s a. absolutely beautiful local spot!!! You would honestly think the building is no older than 5 years old, they did such a good job with the massive remodel/overhaul. That pool will be SO nice when it’s done!
I live fairly close to the Wisconsin Dells and it definitely has that vibe. However, if this property was in the Dells it would be the best hotel there. The rooms at Silverton are gorgeous and I would for sure stay there!
I really like Silverton. It has the most beautiful aquarium I have seen in Vegas. It's fun to see the fish get fed late morning.

I stayed at Silverton before covid and few times and liked the rooms but they didn’t really have that lodge feel and was showing age. These new rooms looks amazing. I’m gonna have to do a Staycation sometime soon .
My wife and I have been staying at the Silverton for almost 15 years. Minus last year and this year. Family and friends in the area so it was a great option for us. It was always comfortable and clean. Twin Creeks was a must stop, though we havent been back in some time since they changed the menu. The pool was always great. We really miss the buffet and always thought it was one of the best deals around. We hope to get back to the Silverton soon but I will tell you that 180 midweek is a little high for an off strip property. Thank you for the review.

My 30-something relative, who lives in Vegas, said the Mermaid attraction is a must-see. I plan to visit next time in Vegas later this year. Due to the room rates, most likely stay somewhere else. I like to stay 2 nights on strip and 2 nights amongst local casinos.

Those of us that have been Silverton regulars for years are a bit put off by the room rates.
This isn't GVR or Redrock, it's not on the Strip. The rates need to reflect that. Mid week, low season, WAS $49-59. The lowest single day rate I see now is $149. There are no $149 consecutive day rates. So if you want to stay two days... you won't get that rate for both days. I LOVE the Silverton. But they have BUMPED their heads on those room rates. I know what they are doing. They are trying to get some of that GVR traffic to turn their way. But the Silverton isn't a resort. It wasn't built like a resort, it doesn't have the sq ft to be a resort. It's a locals casino and a mid tier hotel.
I'll be keeping an eye on those rates in 2024. My prediction is that they will be in the $99 range quickly.
PS... The Silverton is well run. The staff is TOP NOTCH. I've seen the same faces working their for years!
I completely agree. It is nice, but there are other nice off-strip resorts that are cheaper. The price is just too high for me to consider for what I would be getting.
@@m7i7lton I just looked at Green Valley Ranch, an actual resort, it's the same prices as the Silverton. That has no spa, and is MUCH smaller than GVR.

stayed there many moons ago when I saw Eddie Money by the pool area. I recall I had a great time , and the bed was glorious.

Very interesting interview! I wondered about location which turns out to be a good one for California visitors. I like the casinos that make traveling from room to casino easy on the body. I am an elderly senior so convenience means a lot. Thanks for your tour! The players card is unique to only the Silverton. They could add a mining theme for Coloradans.
one of my favorite casinos in town. I like the lighting, it's not too bright and blinding. has a nice chill vibe to it. if this casino had a bowling alley and a theater, it would probably be this best off strip casino.

Thanks for doing a review. We live down the street at ONE Condos. Locals love the Silverton (and let's not forget the South Point!). Super nice staff--most have been here for many years. This property was in desperate need of major updates and I think they did a nice job with the renovations. Casino can get a little smoky so hoping they updated the ventilation system too. Really nice dining options as well including Mi Casa and the Sundance Grille (lobster roll is outstanding). A hidden gem. Lots of player perks. We typically put our guests up at the Silverton when we don't have enough room at our place and every single time they say how pleasantly surprised they were with the Silverton.

They did a great job. I was hoping they didn't take away from the size of the room, that's what we always liked abt staying there. We kept going to gamble & eat during the renovations because we love the property and rewards that much.
That Silverton Lodge is so brand new. I’m might stay here once I’m back in Vegas.

Nice to see Silverton is staying up dated. I lived in Vegas for 21 years, so never stayed there, but ate there several times and of course Bass Pro Shops.

Just stumbled across you a few weeks ago. I really like your style and reviews. The one thing though is the amount of food, good grief, just that breakfast would have been enough for the day and a light snack at night. I don't know how you pack it in but I'm happy you do because some of the places are excellent for a 1 meal day. Keep up the great work, just booked this place, some good deals right now...thank!
