Lol 😂 before you said $50 that's exactly what I thought.I was like I'd give $50 for it .If you're going to sell something you should know the value. If you don't give the least amount as possible.Really to someone that doesn't know comics to them that's a good deal.1st appearance of Rogue in that shape prolly like a $10 book.Spawn was a good pick itll sell always a good grab just don't over price it.Awsome pick up another great video love the channel.
I haven't heard the word (" Funny Books")used since my mother herself used the term for Comics Books when I first got into buying Comics myself back in 1968 and she obviously didn't like Comics very much, but then again she was born in 1925 so I guess she had her own personal reasons after all-"but yeah Im definitely an older collector all around."
$50.00 was generous of you! The fact they wanted $800 for everything, seeing the water damage / mold/ bug and possible rat damage is outrageous! They would be lucky if someone offered $300.00 to them just to get the "decent" books out of there that you probably missed out on, no offense, and throw out the heavily damaged books without getting an infection or something worse from the mold situation! Nevertheless, decent finds and I'm sure you will come across these books again in another sale in better shape!
Does the thought ever cross a flipper's mind - "this stuff might be ill-gotten?" Especially with all the newly bagged books and them not wanting to be on camera. Just wondering how the thought process works. Perhaps an employee of a comic shop? Seems really odd with the Walmart meeting, the fuzzy story, and the organization. Why wouldn't they sell them on eBay for mid-level prices?
It's a nice haul. I taught my mom more than enough to grab me stuff out in MD as I'm in Illinois with no opportunities to grab collections. Then key collector was introduced to the equation...it took her 3? 4 days? To get very very familiar with the hobby and what to obtain/avoid.
Maybe you should have actually bought all of them for $600 as sometimes it's best to have various types of Comics that you may not want or actually need and be interested in to fall back on either trades or reselling later on,but at least you will actually have the time to actually go through them all more thoughly later as you have the time but I have to respect the fact that you actually stick to your guns and actually buy whatever you want and choose to have ultimately-"I love seeing this, thanks!"😊
I my opinion you got extremely lucky there coming across those actual Comics almost all of them were actually well taken care of bagged and boarded and barely handled, now that's what I call a great haul right there.
I am odd I guess but there were literally 100 books in bronze and silver age that you passed on that I would have at least offered 1$ for. Just to have them.
Imagine being the person who bought Edgar Church's house after he died and then find out later that their basement once was filled with thousands of the highest graded golden age comic books in the world worth millions. 😱
Not bad for $50., i guess, not my cup of tea, i am picky. Hard pass for all the rest. They could dump it all as a huge lot on ebay for $100-$200 plus shipping, media mail, somebody will buy it all.
Did u have the option to get the whole thing for about$200. That might have been ok. Cause when you are looking in the back of a truck. U miss stuff. Everyone does. But for what u got $50 is probably fair.
If those books were all VF-NM, then I'd agree. But 50 for books he's gotta now spend money on to press, clean, and grade, I say he was more than generous.

Damn man... my heart just drops to see all the damage to those books. Still a nice little haul though.
Great video, appreciate you sharing it!
Thanks for sharing this, truly excellent content!

You got a good deal for the books you go! Nice to have friends like John! Great video!! :D

Thanks a ton, this was super helpful!

Even with the low grades, I'd say this was more successful than my facebook marketplace dealings recently.
wow, great video. thanks so much
Give credit to the bugs, they mostly chewed on the back covers instead of the front covers.

Spawn 52 has a badass cover, that’s why you bought it.
Ahhhhh some good old sticky content
I my opinion you got extremely lucky there coming across those actual Comics almost all of them were actually well taken care of bagged and boarded and barely handled, now that's what I call a great haul right there.
Deadpool issue with Punisher on the cover is their first meeting
Fantastic vid!!! Thanks a lot!
I saw a key New Mutants in that stack you went thru, think #4.
very helpful, worth the watch
Some great stuff in those boxes!
Always take bags and boards to secure those key books.
There was a Thunderbolts cover you had early on in that collection that I have been looking for.....forever.
Some marvel cards fetch good money if theyre 10s or serial numbered.
My favorite youtuber blessed my Saturday

This a case of low grade is better than no grade
That would have been a -no- for me, too low grade. Thanks for the content!

Didn't the Mile High dude buy Church's collection?
@@ryebaldy8479 yes chuck rosanski

With the condition I would have passed on most of those except maybe the bloodstone and new avengers.
You definitely should go back and pick up the rest of the Bloodstones
Those books were items in an estate sale?
$50 was maybe too much to pay but not enough to get in a twist over either.
If the 1st kate bishop is the best book, you know it’s a trash collection
You know damn well you didn’t get ripped off.
All star squadron the one on the cross
Blade max is a good series!
There was some nice michael myers books
ASM 147 is not 2nd punisher or 1st tarantula. You're thinking of 134. That book is just a regular old book.
Asm 134, 1st Tarantula.
Asm 135, 2nd app of Punisher. Origin Tarantula.
I get confused on this one too. The covers are kind of similar lol
You’re right I always get those books confused
Those books should have gotten a “hard pass” due to condition - not worth the hassle to acquire them.
Based on condition, i feel like you overpaid? But as long as you're happy!👍
Hopefully they wernt stolen.
Dude 100s of bucks
Looks like you ripped some people off...way to go. That's why you get so many negative comments ...karma
How did he rip anyone off? $50 for those books in that condition was more than fair.
He didnt rip anyone off, those books were barely worth making a trip for hopefully it didnt cost him much in gas.
If those books were all VF-NM, then I'd agree. But 50 for books he's gotta now spend money on to press, clean, and grade, I say he was more than generous.
$100?
