    Thats very nice. I essentially built this exact same case by mangling an old dell oem case. The biggest difference is I turned the case around so my mobo is inverted, but almost exactly the same size. I used to have a little corsair 110 alo cooler, now Im using the wraith with my 2700x so I moved the psu to the front in a vertical orientation. I love the size though, its perfect for getting the full functionality of an atx board while still being portable and not weighing 2 tons.

    Sliger also has some of the best customer service around. Had an issue with my SM550, and I got the new part shipped a few days afterwards.

      Great Wood where did you position your AIO - bottom or side? And what kind of AIO did u use? Also, what is the motherboard that you use? I got Cerberus X case also. I’m planning on X570 Tomahawk with upcoming Ryzen 3 CPU and Liquid Freezer II 280 AIO. Any thoughts on that? Thanks for replying!

    Nice one Wendel! Been looking to do my next build in one of these. I'm thinking of modding so an ITX mobo is lowered a few pcie brackets and then fitting a GTR 280 in the bottom and the top. Someone did that to the Cerberus (no X) with two slim 240 rads and that looked amazing.

    I would almost buy one if I was looking at a quality but fairly expensive case. The tiny but ATX form factor solves a lot of issues for getting the best Mobos stuffed in there.

  • @busydude792
    @busydude792 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hype for a new computer case that's made for builders! Thought it was going to remind me of the riotoro prism ATX at first but after learning about it, Sliger is actually more like if those Dan case and Dr Zaber shoebox ITX's got expanded for the less compact mobo's... Actually now that I actually looked, it should be more like a bigger version of Sliger's own ITX case that you guys reviewed just recently :D

    I’m looking into putting a 3970X build into one of these due to needing mobility for the workstation. Would you recommend this case? I’m a CAD Designer so the thought of expensing a CNC machine has crossed my mine and designing a case but the Sliger Cerberus X seems close to what I’d end up designing.

    Let's imagine a normal build with all stuff inside, nothing sticking out of the case but for the handle... how portable would it be considered in a "travel by plane once or twice a year" situation? Definitely liking this case because it can accomodate a full atx motherboard but also considering a build mini-itx based with pcie bifurcation in case AMD never releases a worthy APU for the desktop space... (going igpu with intel is also a consideration, but a bit less futureproofable as it is right now)

    • @Lead_Foot

      149mm with a front mounted sfx psu and no side hinge. 147mm with the hinge. 75mm with rear sfx, or 48mm with rear ATX. Really this case is kind of made for AIOs. I'd only go air cooling for better reliability and more room to mount ssd/hdds.

      Run a crypto-miner, make some coins on the side, don't just simply waste electricity. There should be some currency that utilizes CPU for mining. Even without earning enough to pay your bills, you never know what you could use it for, since you are already using your CPU for heating your plumbing.

      My last 3 builds were in 2 2nd hand and 1 brand new microATX cases. I since moved them to some "junk" 2U rack-mounting ATX cases that I got for free from my workplace and stacked them on a LackRack. In the future, I will most likely keep using server cases - I am not sure if I'm going to find free ones anymore, but I'll definitely look for some bargain junks. And I'm using quiet 80mm fans, I can sleep well at night with 3 PCs powered 24/7.

      I decided to get a Q500L instead. Almost as compact and cost me $50 during the holidays. I will mod the case to improve air flow. I can get a few other components for my build with the money saved. It's not as nice but will get the job done just as well when I finish my mods.

      The factory tooling cost is still the same though. It’s a niche market that’s why ITX cases are expensive. The vendor doesn’t expect to sell as many units as full size ATX cases. So in order to recoup their tooling costs. They have to charge more.

    • @BrianCroweAcolyte
