Ivy was the absolute embodiment of perfection… She was one of the most incredible guitarists (in my top 3 favorite punk guitarists with East Bay Ray and Mike Ness), with one of the most unique sounds/styles ever.. She had such a killer personality with an amazingly offbeat sense of humor.. She wasn’t just technically skilled with a guitar, she was an extremely accomplished songwriter.. And finally, she was ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Even into the 00’s, she was still so beautiful.. She had that “take no crap truck stop diner waitress that would tear you to shreds” look, face, and hair (part mean, part sleazy, all beauty), with gorgeous eyes that could cut right thru you. She was the total package - - I fell in love the moment I saw her standing, looking down, with those form fitting slacks and leather jacket, on the inner sleeve of Songs the Lord Taught Us…
Killer signature sneer & mad guitar skills. This is the best version ever of Peter Gunn Theme. Long live Poison Ivy, Queen of Psychobilly. RIP Lux--there'll never be another.
You just gotta love the Cramps. Ivy is probably one of the most influential musicians I know of. Her tone is one of a kind and easily distinguished among others. Love this.
