Loooong time Spurs fan (from the 70's), and I had no idea who this guy was. Searched on YT and found this video, where you did an exceptional job of filling in all the blanks for me. Thanks so much. Your technical analysis is very impressive to me, but I'm no b-ball savant so maybe I'm easy to impress! It's easy to understand why Riley caught the Spurs' eye. The competition is fierce, but I hope he finds a home with us. And oh yeah, subscribed!
Noah, you stand to make a lot of money if you start putting out longer videos like this. Especially for Castle, and other primary players. Good luck mate
Appreciate you tuning in! Would love to get more of these out! Pretty limited on time because of my site and full-time job outside of this! Definitely will take your suggestion into account!
It's been a while since the Spurs found an undrafted gem (No I don't count Barlow). Reminds me of the undrafted forwards the Heat always find: Struss, Robinson, Highsmith. Great analysis!
if Barlow agrees to a two-way contract, it's hard for us to choose Minix over Barlow. Barlow is 2 years younger and has improved a lot. The main thing with him that he can't really improve is him being a tweener 4 and 5. Personally, I think Minix mashes better with the current squad than Barlow. But it's also easier to find players like Minix from FA, through draft or trade. Barlow is more unique and given the injury history of Collins and Bassey, Spurs might need an insurance at big man position. We'll see how it turns out
Noah, enjoyed the detailed breakdown! I like his tools, reminds me a bit of Doug McDermott, always can use a guy to stretch the floor and make the right play. Should have better opportunities with better distributors. Hows his defense? Havent had a chance to catch Spurs this SL
Thanks for watching, Andres! He’s a solid team defender! Knows where to be, how you help, and makes timely rotations! Just think he isn’t quite a good enough athlete to be anything more than a net-neutral! Other teams might be able to target him a bit on switches! But generally should be fine!
Spurs is a defence first type of team. He would not be chosen by offence only. So some remarks about his defence would make this a much better video. Still good video, peace and love ✌️
Minix is a better Matt Bonner, The Spurs noticed and today gave Minix a 2-way contract. He'll spend playing time in Austin but I expect to see him on the Spurs after the All Star break.
Spurs should lock him. He may not be Curry but he reminds me of Paul George a big man who can shoot from beyond the arc. And he's not afraid to shoot has guts.
He knows when and where to rotate and has a solid grasp on help responsibilities! Think he’ll be a net-neutral as a team defender! Might be able to target him a bit man-to-man on switches! Not a great lateral mover and has somewhat slower feet! But I’m not too concerned about it since he’ll be on a two-way! Not a lot of wings with his size who are great shooters and defenders! If he was, he would’ve been a first-rounder!
I have to disagree with that assessment! He made the right rotations and helped on middle drives without cheating too much to recover back to his man! Think he’ll be a net-neutral as a defender! Can’t really ask too much of the last player on your roster, especially when they’re on a two-way contract! If he had that size and could shoot and defend, he would’ve been a first-rounder!

Thanks for watching! Hope Minix sticks with the Spurs!
Hopefully we give him one of the two way contracts

@@chen-pangchang5154I don’t see Barlow staying with SA at all
We just did! 🎉
He made the team 😊

I hear you! Definitely will keep that in mind for next time!
Dude is a beast on the Austin Spurs but he needs to brush up on his defense!!
Castle,minix,tre,ingram, bassey,collins 2nd unit
Would've been great if you included some clips of him playing defense
Hear you loud and clear! Next time!
to answer the title, yes he should.
Shooting the lights out but he seems quite slow and his dribble is not good enough? Does he make an impact defensively?

Ingram was wide open multiple times from 3.
Spurs should lock him.

Aparently they thought so
I would say Minix over Wesley but not sure if that's right move
Apples and oranges. Blake's option picked up and Minix to a 2-way contract today.
Is he a good defender?

I'm a Morehead fan and I can say so. He is a smart defender and can really stop big guys physically
yes, he needs to calm down tho 😊
poormans doug mcdermoth
I don't think he is a good choice for us.
He is too lazy to D. Only use his hands.

Minix over collins
