I painting a few and did back in early summer. I wanted to give them lots of time for the smell to hopefully not be to bad. I'm kinda worried about using these for k9 and bobcats but we will see.
The one thing that I would recommend when working with paint thinner, wear a respirator, seeing your boy without a respirator just had me cringing, because it is toxic.
Great work. Your boy is really involved with you. I like watching him in the videos with his Dad.
Thanks 👍
1 to 1 works like a charm. I use rustoleum implement paint in black. Tough stuff.
Good information. As always love the content.
thanks

Oil base paints over time has petroleum evaporate. No smell. I have done this for years and caught a truck load of coyotes. Works. GRIZ

Thata a interesting way to go it
Is there any places in NB to get traps
yep, long creek trapping supplies, just outside Fredericton
I do the same thing but I hang them from the jaws. If you hang them from the chain the pan flops up and sticks to the jaws.
good tip !
After you de grease your traps is it necessary to paint them or wax them, can I use use it just after de grease it?
Does this make the springs work slower?
Nope not a bit
you do your dog proofs the same way ?
Painting traps just seems wrong.
