To everyone in here hating on this man for wearing the mask, you are the problem. Some people wear the mask for different reasons other than just the ‘Rona stuff. For example, I have a pet wolf who got extremely excited when I came home from visiting my sister for a week. He jumped up as I was leaning over to pet him and he head butted me right in the mouth. Knocked 5 teeth out and cut my lips open to where I needed to have my top lip sewn together and had stitched on both lips on the inside. I wore the mask to cover the sight of that up because it did look very horrible and scary. Who cares what others do, just worrying about taking care of your own self and your own people.

Deer in different areas respond different to different ingredients. I live near a salt marsh and my deer won't touch anything with much salt in it since they are already getting so much. Surprisingly they're not too big on Peanut butter. Mixing corn syrup, strawberry syrup, strawberry jello, a few other random sweet ingredients and a teaspoon of vanilla extract in a gallon jug and pouring it over a stump, works awesome. Experiment. See what works well for your area

In areas like public land or states that don’t allow baiting which I disagree with can they consider this baiting ? Please leave a comment if anyone knows
The definition of baiting is ANYTHING that will make the animals come up and start licking rubbing and smelling eating a object like a tree ground anything.
I’m pretty sure deer can’t process man made sugars very well. I use treeline mineral blocks from tractor supply. $13 for a 25lb block that lasts about 3 months. So you just keep it in the powdered form, don't try to block it or anything?
correct, just add this powder to a rotten stump, or directly on the dirt and you are all set
Thanks! Only problem in Texas is the ants....oh and of course the hogs. I might have to come up with a way to mix this with corn and possibly go into the feeder.
you should watch my video on DIY corn coat...
Don’t put this shit in your feeder This is bullshit. Corn works fine
@@bigrig5152 In my area where acorns are usually very pentiful, it helps for something deer can't resist. When acorns are abundant, they often ignore corn.
@@Tortuga89R gotcha
Can I ask what is the baking soda or powder is for
deer often get together on wknds and bake stuff. you probably haven't seen this as this phenomenon usually occurs after dark
@@MichealBacon good one!!!!!!
Put it in a 5 gallon water can with 2 gallons of water and ice a bottle of everclear a bottle of bacardi a bottle of vodka and party down
interesting....
@@NBWildman uh yea thats part of a wild south texas winter bbq especially when theres alot of women there ! Party time !
3 years ago. Wearing masks was mostly expected then - it was a crazy time. And yep prices on that stuff is now about double.
Thank you. Going to try it.
Have fun!, let us know how it works for you
Why the baking soda?
Adds sodium bicarbonate to the mixture and is a natural deer Attraction
@@NBWildmansalt doesn’t have enough of the sodium?
I've Used A lot of different things over the years ,Some worked in one place and wouldn't get any attention at all in others ,I've used Commercial Mixes And Attractants , Homemade Mixes And Attractants , , I've used Corn of course and still do , peanut butter , Salts Of Different types from salt blocks yo bags of mineral salt ,table salt , poured apple juice concentrate and grape juice concentrate on Hardwood stumps , Syrups ,sweet Feeds are great , apples or pears , plant many Vegetables and Legumes year Round I like to plant for spring a MIXTURE of Soybeans , Iron Clay Peas and Peanuts for a Summer food plot it's all Really Good for Antler Growth , Then In The Fall I Overseed With My Grass Clovers Rye Grass, Rape is a broad leaf Green they Love, Vetch is Good to Add Maybe Turnips , I like things that are more of a no till for the Fall because I'm overseeding leaving the peas and beans in place as they die out and collapse the Fall Overseed will come up Thru that and if any Beans or peas happen to have made they're left for them this works well with whatever I'm using that Fall For My Green Patches and of course supplement those places with 🌽 Corn , I'll use whatever's available in off season like Apples and Pears that's A Natural Food Source for my Area , Bag Mineral Salt Stumps work Well especially during antler growth time , #1 RULE ALWAYS USE HARDWOOD STUMPS WHATEVER YOUR USING , ALWAYS ,,
It honestly just Depends on what they turn on to in your particular Area , will this mix work ,yes indeed it will work The Goal here was to see what was happening in the area and Indeed it Works , try a small amount of a few different Flavors like One bag of sugar ,one box Salt , half box baking soda it's to make the mixture adhere to whatever you put it on somewhat better , use one Large packet or one Large container of the sweetened Kool aid mixture and one packet of the Jello but use the same flavor for scent that's what's getting their attention that sweet aroma and the sugars and salts for tasty treats lol , Find the one they turn on to in YOUR Area and Go BIG the next time , Happy Hunting Y'all
Great advice...I couldn't agree more
@@NBWildman Appreciate it brother, Great Video , I Love Hunting, BUT , I Love Seeing What A Area Holds And The Results If What I'm Doing, Different States Allow Different Types Of Habitat Manipulation , Game Feeding , Etc,, Some Areas And Hunters Have Bears As Well That Will Frequent The Same Food Sources As Deer, Follow WHATEVER Guildlines That Your State Allows To Avoid Getting Jammed Up With Local Game Officials , Most Allow Feeding During Off Seasons, So Whatever Management Plan You Have Adopted In A Area You Control These Baited Camera Sites allows you After About 3 years the "Fruits of Your Labor" , You can Adjust Or Tweek Your Management Plan From What Your Seeing On Cameras , I have A Background In Wildlife Management , I'm Actually Retired Wildlife Officer And Now Finally lol, Once Again A Avid Hunter/Fisherman I Have The Time To Enjoy It lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣

good to hear, thanks for watching
Last year and I did my own test one pile with straight-up Kool-Aid and second pile without went to one without first
Are you using iodized or non iodized salt I could not tell in the video sorry.
Ok thank you, I was not sure.
I'm hunting a military base and the gates don't open until the day season begins. Maybe this will help.
In Alberta those kool-aid juice crystals are $2.50 each!! The whole thing costs about $11
Is this ok for the deer to eat and any other animals?
yes, it's a sweet treat...nothing to harm
Yes, deer eat any other animals
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
So do you just pour it out onto a stump?
So you just pour some out in a little area? Or put the whole thing out ?
i put it all out in about a three foot circle
Do you add water or just sprinkle the powder on the stump?
Just put out a Trophy Rock
No water to harden it?
you can...but i just try and find an old stump or rotten logs and let in soak into that naturally
Do you add water to it?
I do believe I tweaked your recipe a little bit by putting a full thing of raisins and a couple of pound bag of walnuts from Costco let me tell you what they ate the stump and everything there's nothing left
Sounds great!
This works! TY.
Just seeing this now prices have gone up. Still cheaper than a jug of deer attractant will be trying soon.
any results?
How good did it work out thinking about trying it on lots over grow at my lease
Thank you, that is a great video!
Mixed this up with my daughter tonight !
great, let us know how you make out
we're mixing some up this morning - homeschool / unschooling 😁
Do you leave the tub on the ground or do you pour it over your hunting area
Dump it on a stump or the ground 👍
Yeah you leave the tub on the ground with the lid on. The deer will use their hooves and unscrew the lid and then pass the tub around and share it like popcorn. No need to pour on the ground
@@MichealBacon 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks bud 👍
Thank you for sharing this. I will try it
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you for the info
You bet
Great tip
Glad it was helpful!
In areas like public land or states that don’t allow baiting which I disagree with can they consider this baiting ? Please leave a comment if anyone knows
In NY it is unlawful to put salt out in lands occupied by deer.
It's absolutely baiting as per the law.
The definition of baiting is ANYTHING that will make the animals come up and start licking rubbing and smelling eating a object like a tree ground anything.
In Indiana you can put stuff out but it has to be gone 2 weeks prior to opening day.
@jasonkrohn5416 please explain 2 weeks b4 opening day??? When does hunting season start and what's the law about the deer who cone to the inner city
Like know where get big bags kool-aid that big for dollar never seen 🤔 them??
True
Not at my dollar general, the containers 3$ea
I HAD to like this video! 👍
Great content, thank you sir
thanks, and thanks for watching
Great video . Just found you today and subscribed Need all the help I can get ‘(woman) lol . Cute little boy 👍
Awesome! Thank you!
I’m pretty sure deer can’t process man made sugars very well. I use treeline mineral blocks from tractor supply. $13 for a 25lb block that lasts about 3 months. They can’t get enough of it and it absolutely blows any competitor out of the water when it comes to mineral and trace element content (Big and J, Big Tine, lucky buck, etc.) just my experience here in LA. Have a good season bud!
Is there a certain flavor you use? Or like a corn mixture mineral block? Just trying to figure out which one has worked for you.
