    This is one of my favorite fishes for stew. it’s very easy to clean and doesn’t have much bones. We call it Whiting though but they are pretty much the same. I’ve just learnt the other name now. Looks so delicious

    thanks for the video. When I am in Nigeria I have fish more than any other dish - usually croaker fried/grilled with a tomato sauce poured on top...I am not Nigerian so always wondered how to make this tomato base sauce... its funny as I grew up not enjoying fish meals because we used to have to clean fish whenever it was bought for us to bag it and freeze it. In a different way I appreciate TH-cam as well coz I now see different ways of making Nigerian tomato base-sauce. Thank you for sharing yours and more generally for your really funny videos which remind me so much of my Nigeria trips. I can't wait to start travelling to West Africa again when things settle down again

    Thank you for this recipe. been looking for a way to incorporate fish in my stew for my kids I just don't like the texture of other fishes like Titus fish.. Its quite hard to hold its form while cooking...e too dey scatter...I'll try this hake fish it looks like it will hold its form.

    I love this fish. It's called Whiting Fish here in the US. So yummy. I fry mine in the airfryer but marinade in salt and green sauce first.

    hahahahahaha sisiyemi u are right as i grow older i learnt that u need to allow the fish to fry better before flipping it, then it was was because the fish scatters every now and then chai its good to grow older to understand many kitchen Technics
