i strated the anime because i watched uncle roger react to it and i was weirded out by it at first but i was numb by episode 4, and binged the whole 5 seasons in 3 days and cooked some of the dishes on and it taste great.

Although, I would just like to say that this video has also given me a newfound appreciation for _your_ reactions to Food Wars.
As entertaining as you wife's reactions are, one of the main things I loved about your reaction series wasn't just your knowledge of food, but your knowledge of Japan. And perhaps most importantly, your knowledge of anime. I remember the first episode I watched of your series I assumed it would just be jokes about the overt sexuality that the show often portrays, but when I watched it I saw that not only did you easily accept how crazy the show was, your reactions were based on the food, characters and plot. And that made me enjoy watching them more than any reaction videos I'd ever seen. I don't actually watch anime but I looovvee manga, and this one has been a favorite for me, and it was so fun watching you become interested and invested in the characters the same way I did.
On that note, I _do_ hope your wife will agree to watching at least a few more episodes (maybe cherry pick a few of your favorites?) because she _also_ understands anime, on a very hilarious level 😂😂🤣

...speak for yourself, if I wanted that kinda content, I have specific [OFFBRAND] sites for such purposes. At least then I can get straight to it instead of sitting through 10+ minutes of cooking shounen just to get maybe a minute of "content".
Honestly, I started watching Food Wars for its ecchi-ness. But over time, I grew fond of the characters and watching their development. So now, I'm trying to tide myself over into another anime so the pain of Season 5 (and beyond?) isn't too much. Right now I'm debating whether it's worth it to watch just enough so the cliffhanger from Season 4 is concluded before the story goes bad.
I love how he sits in the Background totally knowing whats happening and is just laughing. We need a secound Episode of this!

@@jt6451 Beyond the fan service, this is honestly such a well done anime (at least up to Season 3). They had a legit chef as an advisor so all the stuff where they talk about how the food was made and why it taste good is actually legit culinary stuff. The fan service isn't even that bad and it does not detract you from watching the anime once you get used to it very quickly.
This anime is a masterpiece! Actually i understand why people like the wife doesn't like it. Its because she's all about inuendo instead of what the anime is about. Its called Food Wars for a reason.

This is great, it is always fun to watch a person's first reaction to an anime (either a series they have not seen or anime in general.) I am also guessing this was a similar reaction to the first time you cooked for her.

I can’t tell what she’s into but it doesn’t seem like ecchi is her thing, if she’s into sad you could try Clannad and Clannad After story or I want to Eat your Pancreas.
If she likes something cute you could do “even for my daughter I would take on a demon lord” it’s super cute and only 12 episodes.
And lastly, if you want her to see something stupid cute and it isn’t ecchi and it has a hint about a specific character because of their cooking skills may I suggest “Fly me over the moon” or Tonikawa?
