- EASY FIX of an OIL LEAK from the Clutch Cable adjuster on HARLEY DAVIDSON Dyna Lowrider motorcycle. Cost was ZERO $ and took 5 minutes of work. Mud dauber wasps clogged the transmission vent tube, I show how to locate repair and replace the broken part.

You da man!! Was just riding my 05 night train after it sat in storage since covid. Oil change, new tires, new brakes and fluid etc. Then today I noticed a lot of fluid leaking from the end of my clutch lever. Just popped off the vent tube and blew through it to no avail. Sent the metal pin of a survey flag through it and voila! An old mud dauber nest was dislodged and I was able to blow through it no problem. Thanks for the tip. You just got yourself a new sub 🦾
Fixed my ‘08 1200 low; anniversary addition 🎉Thank you so much… used to paying ridiculous prices for dealer fixes. I didn’t know about the vent… had similar problems with an earlier Vulcan 750…. Mud daubers always in the carbs. I cover the bike but I guess the little buggers find their way in. Living in Guam I’m used to the pests being in everything🤦🏻♂️
This fixed the problem on my 02 decent. I never would have thought of checking this
Fixed my leaking clutch lever on my 03 Ultra Glide Classic. I was like how the he'll is there oil coming from my clutch lever. Stupid hose had a blockage in it. Probably a mud dobber. Thanks again!!! 👏
I just changed my primary oil and went back 30 mins later and all the oil I just put in it was on the ground went and watched your video and yep it was stopped up thanks for the video
Wow! You solved our problem too. I found black chunks in the vent hose. Now it's all clear. Great video presentation!
Thank you SO MUCH!!! Mines been doing it for months! I thought I was going to have to get all new gaskets! Thank you!!!
Same issue with a softail slim 2013, worked perfectly, (difficult to reach tough, but great great tip to take it to the mechanic) . Thank you for the video!!
Thanks I have been wrenching for a while you helped me because I was looking at the end and it wasopen but after watching I pulled it and it was cloggeg i just couldn't see just looking at the end. I have had a hole in the plastic sheild of the cable get a hole in it at the lower part of the cable as I am told oil will rise up the cable to the level of the trans fluid thanks you helped me😊
Hi Bubble! Thumbs up for your work!! Interesting to watch more lifestyle videos from you 😜❤❤❤
Solved the problem for me as well. Thank you for all the help.
Jason
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I was at a hoge loss and couldn't figure this one out.
04 Dyna Superglide. Hardest part was wiping leaked oil off the cable. Thank you for this!!!
This is a great video, I have this exact issue so, off to the garage to fix it!
Great job as usual. The bike is looking beautiful
This worked for me! I had the same thing happen, a mud wasp put all that mud in the vent
Same issue. Bought a road king from a georgia shed. Changed the bars and cables and started leaking from up by the clutch lever and the mid cable adjustment. Dirt dobber had clogged the vent tube.
I couldn't understand why the clutch cable was "seaping" and creating some small drips on the high side. Pulled off the breather hose to check it and what do you know! It looked like it was made closed at the end. Quick action with a pick tool and a quick blow out with air compressor and so far I'm not seeing any leaks. I zip tied a small rolled up piece of paper towel around the cable after the adjusting bolts to see if it leaks so I could identify it immediately if it starts. I'm thinking you solved my issue! Thanks a ton!
Same issue with the wife's Buell...gonna try this to see if it fixes it. Thanks for the video!
100 percent just fixed the leak!!!! Freaking mud dobbers!! Thank you soooo much!
On my Sportster had the same problem, blocked vent, easy fix thanks to you friend.
I am having the same problem not sure if is the clutch cable but certainly will check it out today after work !
Does a road king have this same set up? I have a small leak coming from my clutch cable also.
Well I'll be , having the same problem and sure enough the vent tube was plugged !!! THANK YOU!!!
Was about to order new cable.... gonna check this, and hopefully, it will fix my 08 Train...?
Thanks!!!

I'm going to go try this. Thanks a lot for this video
I like how low your seat sits, can you tell me what seat that is?
i think the seat name was Badlander. i bought it from the harley catalog back in 2002
09 dyna. Same leak. Will check the hose, thanks!!
Up north here if we see ground bees we pour gas on the and light it up. Not sure but might work on them nest too.
Did you replace the clutch cable or anything? Or just unclog the line?
I like the “fixed” horn 😆
Same issue on my new (to me) 96 Sporty just harder to access. Had to remove the battery tray. Thanks!
Thank you
Awesome.....Same thing happened on my 06 sportster....Thank ya
Thank you for making this video. I have the same issue
Hey man, i just saw your video and i think it will be helpfull. I discovered that my bike was leaking transmission oil, couple days after changing the handlebars. It was strange to me since gasket set was replaced few weeks ago. Do you think that this leak is due to the handlebar replacement? The leak comes from the bottom seal of the primary case, under the shifter. It only leaks when running, I hope this isn’t a major issue. Any help will be appreciated! Thanks for the video!!!
If this doesn't get cleaned, will it cause my dyna to smell like gas after a ride?
My exact problem!! Thank you!!
Thank you brother!
Thank u so much! Fixed!
Same vent on an evo
Thank you
Thanks man!
fixed my problem i believe
Thanks!!!
