Can't watch without tearing up. Suffered a really big loss last year, and this video illustrates our shared, bittersweet, human experiences so beautifully. Sorry to hear about your loss -this track is just one example of how music provides such great solace.This whole album, which in 2 halves, seems to reflect the bands loss of their much loved member. The first 6 tracks were heavier, as if symbolising their mourning but no less brilliant for that. Then track 7, Ride begins with a sombre instrumental piece, then launches into uplifting magnificence. One of the greatest albums I've ever heard.

There's always been killing, hunger, poverty, ect. and yet it still spins. All you can do is hold your head high and spread as much love as you can before you die." Now at the age of 27 I've finally learned that she's right. I'm tired of being upset and worried all the time. A person can't spread love in that state! Only depression! May 2016 be the first year that I not only spread love to the world... but a smile as well.

I've never watched Blacklist. I'm the antiquated nut-shuffler who refuses to like anything produced after M*A*S*H. I heard/saw this tonight/last night on PBS. (Those who had more than three tv stations as a kid you can google Public Broadcast System to learn what PBS means.)
Anyway ...
It's hauntingly familiar. It's damn near 2 a.m. I usually take my third piss each night at 2. Hell, sometimes I even wake up to do it. Instead, I'm listening to the video for the sixth time in a row. Doesn't matter where I heard it first so much as hearing it now.
Dlz is also in The Vampire Diaries.
It's really beautiful how when I was in such a low low place, this song just broke my heart. All the sad eyes I was relating to. And the part where the girl smiles when she's getting hugged killed the mood of it for me. Now that I'm trying to get better and work towards something that's one of my favorite parts of the video. I'm nowhere near where I wanna be, and still pretty low, but if you're struggling, you're not alone. Love love love.

I love this video. It captures the meaning that this song has for me in such a poignant way; how we tend to hide our suffering and keep so much of it inside by telling ourselves phrases like "don't worry be happy" and faking positivity because that's what society wants us to. It doesn't want us to express our true emotions or to admit that we are in pain, to admit that we are just human. But the eyes always tell and the eyes of these people truly do tell a lot.

I've never felt at any point in my life that everything will be okay. I've always felt lost, scared, depressed. Even as a kid I always had fear in my heart. I love this song, it helps through the day to try and feel like everything will be okay.

I love getting to this song at the end of the album. So happy to see a band celebrate the emotional diversity of life through real people and their very real expressions. Beautifully done.
Remember when you could get $20 tickets at the doors to see TVOTR? Good times. What I'd give to rewind and and play it all back. So many moments I'd cherish so much more than I did. I never did run into future me though. If I did, I'm afraid I was a punk ass kid hanging out with my punk ass friends; all living way too fast, because tomorrow was never guaranteed. Most of us made it out alive, some of them lost their way. What I would give to go back and tell them that everything is gonna be okay.
Saw them open for The Faint in 2003 or 2004, had no idea who they were, but I remember thinking they were the best opener I had ever heard. Super lucky
I suffer from pretty constant anxiety, results in pretty regular panic attacks. This song encapsulates everything I feel, and in a weird way having what I experience reduced to song makes me feel a sense of reprieve. Thank you for that TVOTR.

+ningenshikkaku Check out their whole discography. They've been around for 10+ years and every album is just phenomenal. Be warned their style is definitely exploratory and they don't stick to any one sound.

I just watched that episode the other day and man, this show is amazing.
I saw this band at one of their last shows in Raleigh. I was late after getting done at work. I was worried that it had reached capacity, but the gate staff did not care about any of that. They were waving people in without tickets. TVOTR started up with this as I joined the crowd. They played an amazing show, as always, and even thanked the crowd for being so amped up. I hope you get to see a show like that.

Finally clean after the better part of 2 decades addicted to heroin/oxy/fentanyl and benzos.
Feel like I’m slowly waking up after a 20 year nightmare.
This is how I cope.
(Also, as a side note I was thrilled to hear from a mutual friend from another prominent Brooklyn band that TVOTR are incredibly kind, stand-up guys. TVOTR used to open for my friends band and he said they were by far the best guys he’s toured with.)

After finishing episode 4 of The blacklist, I heard this sound track and I really had to find it. It is awsome.
I have always loved this song. It hits much differently now. I only have a few years left because of my liver/kidneys. Nothing left the Drs. can do. I gave up trying to tell myself "everything is gonna be ok", and have just tried to embrace it. What will be will be.
