Although we have never been into computer gaming, seeing this, the sheer level of visual appearance has become so pleasingly accurate to real life that you can imagine yourself being there in person and fiddle about as you please. Wow, just wow!
We loved seeing you have so much fun playing Train Sim World 4! We look forward to maybe seeing more.
When are we getting multiplayer? All in waiting on
You really should check out the other steam levels Sam. I picked train sim world 3 up on sale with the steam levels and was blown away by the detail in the scenarios of the Liverpool Lime Street route
I find it funny that tsw4 American route is just la county with the metrolink bi levels lol. Didn’t expect them to make union station so detailed
haha yeah - those stations are unbelievably detailed!!
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
Can confirm that Union Station in Los Angeles really looks as it appears in the game. The subway connects to the other tracks as well as the waiting rooms, ticket area, and restaurant. The station was built in 1939 and the art deco tile in the subway dates to then.
I think you would like high peak add on. You get a 4F, 8F and a jubilee. Some really fun and challenging stuff to do.
I like to see a game scenario with lots of switching. I find that more interesting that just traveling between stations.
My son has the Deluxe version and he is in love with it. We have loved the last few releases, but he really loves the Scotsman. I am a Diesel man myself though!
Hi Sam! Wow, early comment right here. Anyway, in my opinion, Train Sim World 4 isn't really worth it, as it is really just a clone of TSW3 but with route editing and some new locos. But that's just me. IMO, my favourite train sim will always be the original Dovetail one, Train Simulator Classic! 😄
That's fair enough - I haven't tried the previous titles so can't comment - I do know that these routes I showed are brand new though!
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
Indeed, for someone that's not interested in the new routes (i.e, myself), TSW4 is basically a £40 forced update from TSW3. Despite having no interest in any of the new 'features' that TSW4 brings, I'll be forced to buy it if I wish to continue buying new routes (like the new route from JustTrains that will be releasing for TSW4 only, in about a month). Compared to TSW3, TSW4 doesn't really bring anything new to the table, it's just a way for Dovetail to make their player base buy a new game for the sake of it. TSW is a good game, but I can't say I support Dovetail's business practises here.
Not sure if this counts as I’m a grandad not a modeller. However my grandson Archie intro duced me to your TH-cam and he is a Flying Scotsman addict! Therefore he would be amazed to travel on 60103 with you driving.
This looks great. I rode from Feldkirch to Bludenz back in early july, as the nearest station to Gargellen (where we were staying) is Schruns, which is on a branch that splits off at Bludenz. Great to see the Bombardier Talent so well reconstructed, even down to the seat moquette.
An Elephant on a speedboat is the last thing I never thought I would seen in video games.
16:01 I really love that feature Sam.
Cheers Jasper & Willow
I do too!! I really want to try and do something more complex with it :D
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
So when you have completed the 4 routes what happens? Pay more money to expand the game.
Pretty much. There's an awful lot of DLC for this game, but most of it is older routes and motive power from previous iterations of TSW.
I would love to see more videos on this! Maybe a livestream of you doing the route on the Flying Scotsman?
Definitely would like to see you do more of this!
I noticed that when you were in the 8f & Scotsman the reverser was not in the right position. You probably already know this but to move it needs to be in full 75% cut-off. Use the W to move it forward and S to bring to back😅
I seriously thought I saw Steve from Blues Clues in the thumbnail for a second XD great video Sam!
Train driving sims are not everyone's cup of tea, so I'm very pleased to see you actually featuring one.
I wonder, are you also familiar with Transport Fever 2 on the PC? Not only can you cab ride (although without any interaction) but you get to basically build a virtual model railway and operate it. Both passenger and freight are catered for, you can be the manager of your very own network.
I'm surprised they sponsored your first look into this game, considering you don't play much train simulator on the channel.
Putting "Hello There" on the front of a locomotive is 10/10 livery design right there!
2:20 the austrian one is "S-bahn Vorarlberg". the one you had your mouse on is a line in germany
Finally the Train Sim World gameplay! Thank you!
“I can’t go to the toilet…damn!” 😂
Welcome to the world of TSW 4, Sam! I bought mine on pre-order and I love this game. In the future, you will be getting tools to build your own routes and make custom trains as well mate. This one has to be the best evolution since MSTS in 2001 when that came out! But this is soo much better.
The livery design feature is almost identical to the "Paint shop" feature of the Trainz simulator which was one of the first ever train sims. In that you could also change the livery of rolling stock too, great fun !
Oh very interesting! I had Trainz but I don't remember ever doing that - cool stuff!
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
@@SamsTrains It was an additional disc you had to buy - cheers !
I am not surprised in the slightest that you jumped into tsw4. I’ve been playing it as well and I LOVE the flying Scotsman.
Scotsman is awesome to drive isn't she? They did a fantastic job :D
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
@@SamsTrains fun to drive with absolutely no shortage of power
Hi Sam, I bought TSW2020 for Xbox a couple of years ago & bought the West Somerset Railway Addon at the same time. I had a play about with it and soon discovered that you had to Complete various Training Modules etc before you could actually get to 'Drive' at your leisure!.. So back the disc went in it's box. Just didn't have the time to learn all that stuff... but now I have seen how easy you make this look, I am going to give it another go!.. Cheers Sam!
Yes please do a some of those games ! It does look smashing sam!.
Humble Bundle has a TSW bundle for $15, with TSW 4 + a lot of TS4 compatible DLCS/routes (some TSW 2 and 3 routes that work with 4)
looks like a decent deal.
This game is gem, i played the other ones but i must say, this one is a huge step up, im happy we got flying scotsman in this game and livery designer is fun,
😮 wow the detail is incredible 😮
Notification: Sam has a new video
Me: please do not crash the Scotsman
Glad you finally got tsw. I'm a bit of a dinosaur, still playing tsw2 but they are deffo the best train Sims!
Yeah they really are aren't they? The fact that you can move around and go wherever you want is a gamechanger!
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
never thought of a train sim but that looked good.
I can’t wait when they add more steam locomotives to this game like hopefully the engines from the Pennsylvania Railroad or Sante Fe
I can see this game developing into a fully run railway company with all that goes with it to make it a financial success.
Good overall video here Sam, I myself have seen a couple of videos from others showing this game, overall Train sim world is a really good simulator and one I wouldn’t mind giving a try but right now I’m fine using a simulator called Open Rails which is just a modern front for the really old 2001 Microsoft train simulator.
I'm mega impressed with it - open rails sounds super cool too, might be worth a try!
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
Can you access the tutorial steam engines at any time for messing around?
Correction: "Nahverkehr Dresden" is in Germany, not Austria.
this is just train sim world 3 with a new number, Dovetail still has not fixed its incomplete and bug plagued DLCs from the previous games, but decide to release this, not even a year since TSW3's release. Do not buy this game.
I don't know about that - most of the content here is new, and I didn't encounter any bugs,
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
The horrible stuttering and freezing! The community fixed it in TSW3 and now they are expected to do it again in TSW4, what do Dovetail even do.
Not sure if I’ll get this game at full price - besides from the fact it has different routes it’s near indistinguishable from tsw3 which I already own. Hoping it goes on sale 🤞
what really annoys me is the fact you have to purchase the deluxe dition to get the Scotsman. The one reason to buy TSW 4 if you have TSW3 Typical DTG this. Rip off merchants, pure n simple
Owners of previous versions get a nice percentage off the price
I haven't played any Train Sim World , I just watched content about this games. I'm still playing the good ol' Trainz because I've build my map there and recently I've discovered Derail Valley. In my opinion Derail is well over Trainz and the Train Sim's without the 4th one. You have career mode , you need to buy licences to do certain jobs or to be able to drive new locos , you can walk around , you derail and might destroy environment if you carry dangerous goodss , you can walk , locos can get so damaged that they won't be able to run etc. Also I like that when coupling to a consist you need to get down and conect the hook and the air pipes , release consist's handbrake, and that you don't need to build or play a certain scenario , you just go to the station office and pick whatever job you want.
Can you spring the buffers manually?😂 In all seriousness though, this is awesome!
The 323 is an EMU, tbf despite my mixed opinions on it before buying it does look nice. At least you have tried TSW now as it's a better step from TS.
Great fun
Awesome video Sam's trains
Thanks Brian! :D
@@SamsTrains you're welcome 😊 buddy 😊
I can't wait to get this, also sam, how are you doing, you feeling alright?
Awesome stuff, hope you enjoy! I'm doing great thanks, how are you?? :)
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
@@SamsTrains good to here, I'm doing fine thanks :)
Hey @sam, can you push your fireman out the door? 😛😂😂
Yay, Sam got sponsored for a second time.
Cheers Jasper & Willow
haha I haven't done a sponsorship for ages... I usually ignore them... but this seemed fun!! :D
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
How was the stutter and frame rate for you
Am new to train sim world games, can anyone advise if you buy a London Underground add on dlc for train sim world 4 on the ps5? Thx!
how do I buy the flying Scotsman?
Ive got the train sim 4 and need to download all the previous dlc from rhe previous train sim world games. There are other great steam trains in the game aswell including the jubilee
Awesome stuff - I might have to try that too, I'd love to drive a Jube with this level of detail :D
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
You should try Polish simulator SimRail - you can drive trains but also be a signalling dispatcher in multiplayer! 🚞
Cool
Man you got lucky I wish I could drive Flying Scotsman in train sim world 4
So amazing
Thanks a lot Justin! :D
very interesting...great visual solution chrystal clear pic and lots of options.....last time i tried a train simulator was some 15 years ago...and that didn't really work well....great improvement here....might give that a try......but then i haveless time for my real rayout.....hhmmmm.....
Bought the game early, played tsw3 for a while, now onto 4, graphics were definitly upgraded between them. From personal experience, modern loco's are easier to play with controllers, and steam loco's with mouse and keyboard.
I think that this is a very Interactive game Sam, I'll probably have to give it a try for sure.
Cheers Jasper & Willow
Sure thing! It's out now, and well worth it in my opinion! :D
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
Hi Sam! Will You Ever Buy And Do Reviews On Bachmanns Thomas And Friends Narrow Gauge Range? Or Any N-Scale Locomotives?
Yes please Sam
You'd hope a game called Train Simulator would be "available on all platforms" 😉 Only slightly disappointed that the vid didn't end with you saying "Well, now I feel qualified to go and drive the real Flying Scotsman, and I'll let you know how that goes next time..." 🙃
The big problem that I have with train sim world is that when they announced the original tsw they said that multiplayer would happen. Now they are on tsw 4 and there is still no multiplayer
Having multiple people playing together actually makes a big difference in how a train simulator feels because actual trains require teamwork. When you can have one person stay in the cab while another person is riding shoves or other switching moves then it really brings out realism
Oh wow that would be fantastic wouldn't it? Fingers crossed they can get that in!
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
Last computer game train game I ever played was southern belle on the spectrum 48k
I was looking for the loco review... not a game review, so how about telling us the spec of your pc you ran the game on?
Wow increadible...I would imagine you need a high spec of to run this?? Cheers

@Mahmoud-rz9mb hi there...thanks for the info much appreciated!
Sam love your videos
Thank you so much! :D
Blimey, never seen such a long advert, good if you can get it!
Hi Sam. Looks a realy good game ,i could see my self getting addicted to it, but doing the modeling side of the hobbie i sit down to much as it is. It does look good 👍
"I want my face on the front of the engine"
Is Sam creating an OC?
Just a random question: What was your first model train/train set?
All I want to know is if they have finally lived up to the promise of multiplayer yet?
I love Euro/American Truck sim but've never tried a Train sim. The static nature, point A to Point B seems like it could get boring for me. I think if any Train sim could hook me, it'd be Derail Valley. Far more game mechanics and modes. A sense of urgency/danger and spectacular crashes if you mess up. Looks amazing.
It’s always fun to see the opinions of someone not in the know, against someone who is. Anyone else here relate?😂
Just an opinion, but Derail Valley's a more immersive experience in terms of doing the actual work of a railway, and no DLC upcharges.
Likewise, Rolling Line is an immersive model railway experience, and plenty of workshop content for free. No DLC.
You've been trained on a train, using a train...
But do the trains have sprung buffers?!
Sam, get a Z model kit and make a model railway within your model railway ! 😎 That would be fun 🤭😃
When day release, train sim world five they better have multiplayer and a K2 so everyone can make Edward
Hahaha superb.
Glad you had fun with the train SIM Sam, but it's not my cup of tea.
Been there done it got the tea shirt, got and wore the uniform, cleaned ,fired and drove the real thing, I am afraid no train SIM will replace that experience .
The only thing about train sim world 4 is I can’t launch it because it keeps asking me to check something which is a let down for me to be honest with you Sam’s trains
TSW4 has converted me from TSC. Didnt care much for the earlier versions of TSW but 4 has me sold.
DO THIS AGAIN, PLS!
I love train sim and have since the first which I also own along with the 2nd. However my issue is past train sim 2 I am not bothered going further past train sim 2. I feel train sim 3 and 4 came out too quickly after each other.
Wait until finds out derail valley and century of steam
Anyone who wants the disc version then game n Argos has it in stock n it’s not the deluxe version unfortunately even though game’s website has it down as the deluxe version!! pretty gutted as a wanted to operate the flying Scotsman ohhh well not bad at £39.99 n if a do get bored a can sell the thing
coolvid
Thank you! :D
Whato Sam,
Looks entertaining but what a pity they can’t spell centre correctly😉. Was the sound for the A3 three cylinders (right) or four (wrong)?
Mark Andrew Pardoe
Sam, I would 100% say that I would prefer you to alter between Modelling and TSW4
hahaha thank you! I'm thinking I will do another video soon! :D
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
more plz
Yey a train sim game. Lets see sam what he does this time . Im excited. Keep being awesome my friend. I have a freind who is selling custom trains with nice art work he does. If anyone wants to check it out.
hahaha hope you enjoy it! :D
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
Sam: there's a European one thats an austrian one
Me: ummm, you do know your hovering over a purly germent route, right?
Senario🎉
Should have waited a year for TSW5
Lol then wait for TSW6
Hornby released a game on PC with all their products, track, building etc. The track wouldn't line up, it was terrible. It looked like Hornby but didn't really work. I got it for free so can't really complain but what a shame. I can't afford the hobby anymore so have given up. I do love playing games and have since the 70's. I am currently playing Far Cry 6 for the 3rd time. I like to get my monies worth.
Now onto your video. WOW first person train sim. Brilliant. Will there be Zombie attacks or hordes of the infected from Resident Evil ? Perhaps not, I recon it will be simply driving trains here and there. Lets find out 😆
I have 1 question Sam, is this game also available on Xbox?
Cheers Jasper & Willow
It is indeed! :D
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
After buying TSW2 and TWS1 its too expensive to buy every Train sim world so I'm not buying any more
That's fair enough - it's certainly a lot of money to find!
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
please play more Sam
