After Hours is incredible, all of his music feels like a big nostalgic hug or a gut punch I didn't know I needed. Can't wait for the new album. I appreciate CLH so much including his humor lol
I cant wrap my head around how someone writes a song like After Hours, like the lyrics are so refined, and the guitar work backs it up, not to mention the melodies that soar over both lyrics and guitar. Remarkable.
@@spencerbordenick He is very inspired by Elliott Smith. His works feels like if Elliott never left the south, and while Smith leaves extremely big shoes to fill, CLH has some pretty great melodies in his own right, and Paradise Pop really is a good follow up to his previous albums.
Thanks for the upload! Btw, based on the track list from the upcoming album and the lyrics in the songs I'm pretty sure the fourth song is called Candyland and the fifth Beauty school 🙂
More proof that CLH is at his best when it's just him and a guitar He seems really resistant to being "singer/songwriter/guitar man", but that's what he's best at.
They are most likely totally unrelated, since After Hours is about Maya. But listening to After Hours and Northsiders back to back, that last line really hurt. "But up here I wear my seat belt."
I love this guy a lot

Love the reference to The Downton Tavern in Jackson, TN...I saw CLH play there a couple times.
It’s easy when it’s easy., so good

Dude ikr
I thought Christian had a friend who died in a car accident and that's what Northsiders was touching on and I think that last line was about.
@@mrshou112 Yes hence unrelated. But it makes me feel emotional that he mentions he wears his seatbelt in the heaven that he imagines.
