I don't know what their issues were but I know in my situation I did everything in my power to work things out but after ten years of trying I realized I couldn't compete with her boyfriends. I hope that isn't the issue here! I DO know that it really effects children so I hope and pray they can work theirs out. If cheating isn't the issue and even then it is possible to work it out. For the kids sake I really hope they can work the problems out and be one big happy family again.

You know what happens when 2 people who are in 2 different places in a relationship try to stay together for the kids sake? They both become miserable and it affects the relationship with the children. If their relationship is over and they can both come to grips with that, then they’re better off moving on, and being happy in their own space. When they are happier, they can bring more of that happiness to the children. Yes, it sucks for EVERYONE at first, but it’ll smooth out in time, as long as Mike and Erin can stay civil with each other. I’ve lived this personally. My parents divorced when I was very young, so I know what it like going through the whole “visitation” thing, and then when I had a child of my own, I spent 10 years with his mother going through good times and bad, trying to “work it out, but she didn’t want to change her ways, so I bought my own house and left. My son has lived with me almost exclusively since then….. he knew at 10 years old!

Erin does not have the personality to continue the web channel, Mike had the experience from his radio days, In my opinion, I believe she going to sell off the heard and downsize to just her garden. She in my opinion, she will sell most of the land, aerie can make more money selling the land to developers, 5 times then raising cattle. There is also a trend that people from the west coast and east coast are getting away from high living states to cheaper area, and Erin and her mother can retire just living off the money, the sale of the land to developers. This farm in my opinion is history, watch for the on line store, if they stop selling beef on line, after the inventory I'd depleted, then you know they sold off the heard, I got nothing against Erin, but eventually most people will go with what's profitable, reaching is hard work, ans not as profitable as selling to developers, it's human natural, it looks like the web cams might be shut down, if that is the case, that's another sign, they might be piece meaning the ranch little by little, look for a auction to sell off equipment

Sad does not even begin to scratch the surface of what my broken heart is feeling. Letting go of all the blood, sweat, and tears poured into your ranch life and marriage/ parenting is more than I can process at this time. It does not bode well for the sustainability of the Ranch as we have known it. Prayers and hugs
We visited the ranch in 2021. It inspired us in so many ways. Yes, life does go on Mike. The Greeks has a saying: When one door closes another one opens. Will catch you on the other side. Aloha!

Wow.... let me pick my jaw up off the floor. However, I will say that it had become obvious that something wasn't right. I honestly can't remember the last time I saw Erin in a video and the inconsistent posting meant something was off. Whatever the reason, I hope everything works out for the both of you and that the ranch moves forward and you Mike find a new path that we can follow you along on. Forget the channel. The RANCH will die without Mike. There is no way that Erin (even with help) can keep the ranch going without Mike. Erin's mom will probably sell the land, and Erin will have to sell the cattle and equipment. This is how ranches die in the American West. It isn't only a marriage that is ending. It is a way of life. I'm sure the two of you have already gone through all of the 'what ifs' and 'how can we make this works', but I doubt that either of you have actually thought this all the way out to the probable bitter ends that this will likely result in for every member of your family.
@@1klakak I had forgotten about that! If that is the case, is/can Erin or her mom (Rita) going to buy out Mike's equity in the ranch? This could get a little sticky and, although interesting, I'm afraid we'll never know the outcome. Seems like whatever happened, happened since the farm buyout, otherwise why go through all that work? EDIT: Thinking back on what he said in this video, he said that since it was a family farm, he was stepping out, so I'm thinking Rita might still have some vested interest in the farm/house/equipment.... something, so that is why he is gone.

while I'll still watch OWL to help support Mikes children the only cattle ranch channel left for me is "Farmer Tyler Ranch" . Tyler runs a small family ranch North of Sacramento California. He's like Mike in that he is very good at explaining why he does what he does. and he's genius when it comes to solving issues and creating what he needs from scrap material on his property. It was my wish that someday Mike and Tyler would collaborate on a video. I discovered both channels at the same time several years ago and they were always watched together. Wishing Mike and his family some peace and that Mike finds his way. While he's only been running the channel for 8 years I believe he and Erin started working the ranch back in 2008. Hopefully he can find a way to keep on raising cattle someplace else. Mike has worked hard to become the rancher he is now. It would be a shame to waste all that talent. It also speaks to Mike's character that he will not air any dirty laundry or cast aspersions on Erin publicly.

Mike, I grew up on a Wyoming ranch, and after retiring, moved to warmer Arizona. Your channel let me reminisce and still feel the ranch life from years gone by. I will miss seeing you explicitly explain the ups, the downs, the hardships and the love only a true ranch can have. You gave a real picture of what ranching and the ranching business entails, and the positive impact ranching and agriculture has on life itself. Thank you for all you have done this past eight years. This farm in my opinion is history, watch for the on line store, if they stop selling beef on line, after the inventory I'd depleted, then you know they sold off the heard, I got nothing against Erin, but eventually most people will go with what's profitable, reaching is hard work, ans not as profitable as selling to developers, it's human natural, it looks like the web cams might be shut down, if that is the case, that's another sign, they might be piece meaning the ranch little by little, look for a auction to sell off equipment

Sad does not even begin to scratch the surface of what my broken heart is feeling. Letting go of all the blood, sweat, and tears poured into your ranch life and marriage/ parenting is more than I can process at this time. It does not bode well for the sustainability of the Ranch as we have known it. Prayers and hugs

I honestly can't remember the last time I saw Erin in a video and the inconsistent posting meant something was off. Forget the channel. The RANCH will die without Mike. There is no way that Erin (even with help) can keep the ranch going without Mike. Erin's mom will probably sell the land, and Erin will have to sell the cattle and equipment. This is how ranches die in the American West. It isn't only a marriage that is ending. It is a way of life. I'm sure the two of you have already gone through all of the 'what ifs' and 'how can we make this works', but I doubt that either of you have actually thought this all the way out to the probable bitter ends that this will likely result in for every member of your family.

This could get a little sticky and, although interesting, I'm afraid we'll never know the outcome. Seems like whatever happened, happened since the farm buyout, otherwise why go through all that work? EDIT: Thinking back on what he said in this video, he said that since it was a family farm, he was stepping out, so I'm thinking Rita might still have some vested interest in the farm/house/equipment.... something, so that is why he is gone.

while I'll still watch OWL to help support Mikes children the only cattle ranch channel left for me is "Farmer Tyler Ranch" . Tyler runs a small family ranch North of Sacramento California. He's like Mike in that he is very good at explaining why he does what he does. and he's genius when it comes to solving issues and creating what he needs from scrap material on his property. It was my wish that someday Mike and Tyler would collaborate on a video. I discovered both channels at the same time several years ago and they were always watched together. Wishing Mike and his family some peace and that Mike finds his way. While he's only been running the channel for 8 years I believe he and Erin started working the ranch back in 2008. Hopefully he can find a way to keep on raising cattle someplace else. Mike has worked hard to become the rancher he is now. It would be a shame to waste all that talent. It also speaks to Mike's character that he will not air any dirty laundry or cast aspersions on Erin publicly.

Mike, I grew up on a Wyoming ranch, and after retiring, moved to warmer Arizona. Your channel let me reminisce and still feel the ranch life from years gone by. I will miss seeing you explicitly explain the ups, the downs, the hardships and the love only a true ranch can have. Therefore, I feel she and her mom might sell out like so many ranches have done. I always looked forward to watching you on your daily chores around the ranch.
