The worst is the final battle in the Knights of the nine questline. All your newly recruited knights charge in and die immediately if your difficulty is too high lol.
How did an entire party of fighters go on a mission, trekked halfway across the country through the trolls, minotaurs, bears, and imps, got to the jobsite and stopped because they forgot their weapons? How did they survive the trip?
When Bethesda decided to switch to fast-travel oriented player travel, they forgot about distances in all quests, as example some quest lines send you to the other end of the province just to talkt to someone, or, in FG questline, guild master expects a quick response from a team he sent a distance 1/3 of the continent
While the Player is leveling, this quest gets more and more difficult as the weapons the Guild Members are delivered do not level at the same rate as the Goblins do. This quest is better to complete while still at low level.
I never liked how they put the whole responsability to you to make sure they all survive, when they are all fellow fighters with you and you're not placed in command of them.
What’s funny is the Redguard, Rienna is a Protector (Rank 5) while at most the Player Character is an Apprentice (Rank 2) of the Fighters Guild. If anything after the weapons are delivered she should be in charge and have the responsibility not the newbie.
What's funny is that there's no good reason for the Orc and Elf to go into battle with the wrong weapons. They know each other, they can _see_ each other and what they're holding. It would have been 100% reasonable to add in an interaction of them swapping weapons and for the guildmaster to mention your mistake when summing up your performance. It could've made the failure line more interesting with a line like "Not only did you give them the wrong weapons, but you got them all killed!"
I just ran the entire thieves guild quest line and the only problem was the quest where you had to get the Ahdarji's Heirloom ring back. The ring did not spawn unless the countess was on the same side of the bed as the jewelry box and you were in the room watching her put the ring in.
These fighters guild weapons are unique as they have poor base durability compared to their normal counterpart. No wonder the fighters guild is in a dire state.
THIS!!!! QUEST!!!!! in my very first oblivion playthrough (first TES game at that) I was very quickly arrested and escorted into Cheydinhall. Scared and confused in a fantasy world i barely knew how to play. I didn't know the map, but as I stepped out the city I knew I was far far away from the sewers. This was the first quest I ever did while I gathered my bearings. Being Argonian and learning everyone is racist against you was also a trip
I'm not sure if anyone else encountered this, but I distinctly remembered encountering a glitch where, after the quest was completed, and the trio of Fighters Guild members survived, they would just... appear after fast travelling. It seemed to occur most if fast travelling to Castle Bravil, or Skingrad. After loading, they would just be there and offer generic greetings, amd just kind of... wait around. Am I the only one to encounter this?
If you wait too long to take this one on, and you don't have a mod that fixes the leveling system, the goblins will make quick work of these fighters, so you have to run ahead and clear out the mine yourself. It's really annoying.
No, I don't remember dying... But It's been a decade or so since I played. I remember stopping at level 10 for a while because that was when you could get the skeleton key.
You haven’t gotten the full Oblivion experience until an npc trips on a log and dies, causing your boss to dock your pay

If I recall correctly there's a spiked ball trap in the mine that the npcs will run into repeatedly

Possible their weapons broke? Actually never understood why these guys didnt have their weapons.
@@BrandonDenny-we1rw They didn't have their weapons so there could be a quest for you to bring them.
they fast-traveled, duh

the devious tone in your voice as you give and then ask about the wrong weapons was so good
Mr Dash just wanted to say again that you make the absolute BEST oblivion content on the planet. Thanks for keeping this game alive in my heart man 👍
I remember screwing up this quest when i first play the game. I gave all the wrong weapons and watched as they all died.
I remember giving them the right weapons and they trip over the log trap and die anyways.
@@kalythaioh Creation engine. You and your bugs. Tsk tsk tsk. 🤭

@@ryuno2097I don't think them dying when you're giving them the right weapons is because of a bug
I hate this quest through and through. It's complete chaos after delivering the weapons and the altmer swordsman always gets crushed like a mudcrab.
If he was a dunmer he'd have survived. Am I right, comrade? 😉
@@DarkLOREDash He would get rid of the goblins all by himself, that's for sure!

Has always been confusing. Like bro you only sent me to deliver weapons, you’re lucky I stayed to finish the contract

The casualties being your fault, 4th wall break there.
Showed up without your own weapons? Have fun with your participation award.
If you spend in jail any city the trio will appear in front off the prison or castle
FUCK YES dude!!! thank you for these late night uploads 😊

Eyy just in time for my morning coffee fantastic time always great to see you Dash
Last time i was this early the dark brotherhood hadnt arrived yet
These are always fun. Thank you, DLD.
Excellent, coffee and dash.

Sounds like they need a new Smith
1:32 Seems odd to have a forge in the basement. You'd think they would put that upstairs or outside.
I didn't even think of the logistics
Because it looks COOL. I always make underground forges in Valhelm :P
I guess they want to roast in all of that trapped heat while breathing in as much smoke as possible.
I totally failed this quest when I was brand new to Oblivion. Fond memories.
Fun fact: I just recently managed to successfully complete this quest weaponless with full honors. 😎
I had to go ahead without the party first. 😏
Great video!
Always a pleasure to watch!
I enjoy this so much! Amazing content, best wishes to you and your future projects! 🌻
Thank you kindly pootoo!
This is perfect for a good, chill little gaming session
They should be wearing armor also.
Cool gameplays.
Are you by any chance going to do the mages guild and master training quests?

you always post while im lookin for something to watch....in bed xD love you
Keld with a bit of "that Innsmouth look" ;P
When I do the quest, the three fighters always split up. I rarely can keep them all alive.
I just love how he calls me Meat. Just love it! lol

You can usually glitch them to jail if you commit a crime during the quest so, it's possible... its oblivion after all
Bring weapons to the guys.... does it reverse and kills goblins before.
Thats an option! Their weapons are actually half weight too

Don't they usually have armor on? I don't remember the fighters guild members wearing clothing for this quest.
I've always try to save that simp with this quest👀😲
I just did this a few days ago. Where's their armor? One always died, so l pickpocketed the woman and took care of all the goblens:)
People are saying this and it's hilarious, mine must be bugged 🤣
This quest is so annoying, they run off in seemingly random directions, and the path they follow through the tunnels makes absolutely no sense.
Agree. Goblin fodder
Has anyone ever had a bug where both the fighters guild members say they don’t have anything for my rank
It's not a bug you are at the wrong guildhall for your rank
I want to know, what mods do you use?
Why they are without armor?
Thinking about meat
Sweet another DLD vid, now to get no work done for the next 17mins 😚👌🏻
