I had to fight the urge to just send all my real-time thoughts in chat. The fuse is a super cool concept, that like you said, seems to have unlimited possibilities. The super long, fused pitchfork looked pretty ridiculous hanging out on Link's back though, haha.
I kind of loved the pitchfork, though LOLLLL!!!!! I’m so excited having seen this in depth look at the new abilities! I wanted to hear more about the lore, but I suspect they’re going to keep it all a secret for us to discover through the game at this point!!
@@marissaemmaa As much as we want to hear more, it's honestly probably for the best to keep as much secret as possible right now. It'll make the game experience that much better!
I feel like this has the potential to be better than BotW; with all the new abilities. It also looks like everything runs well to unlike other certain genres 😆 I truly hope there is at least another *Live* Direct in between the coming weeks 🙏 If not, I guess deep lore videos into this trailer will suffice 😆

I want to know more about the lore, but I think they're going to force us to discover it on our own in the vast world they've created for us!!! I'm actually so happy I started another playthrough of Breath of the Wild yesterday, because we can really dig in and try to flush out as much of the base lore as we can LOL
There have been a lot of Zelda games with certain levels of technology in them. Ocarina of Time had fans as well. And then there are the robots and machines in Skyward Sword.
Yeah, you definitely have a point! I woke up super early to film this and I think in the moment, I was just comparing it to the rafts we've seen in Breath of the Wild previously and how we had to use the Korok leaf to move them, and then I started thinking about all of the other possibilities with the fuse ability, and the access to all of the technology at our fingertips at any time, and not just in certain dungeons to solve specific puzzles, you know?
RIGHT?!?! I'm really excited about all of the possibilities that Fuse has!!!! I'm so happy I started another Breath of the Wild playthrough yesterday to scratch a portion of the itch I'm experiencing for the new game!!
@@marissaemmaa I've been saying it since the first teaser trailer years ago, Midna is coming back. Who's that that Zelda asks for help from? What's with the Hand that faces off against Ganon? And now every single one of her powers Link can do through a glove? (I'm calling it the Twili Glove for now.) Even the art designs and symbols are directly reminiscent of the Twili's designs and symbols. This screams Midna to me and I'll be very surprised if she isn't in some way incorporated. And Fi too being that we're going back to the sky. Sure this isn't "their" hero exactly but my theory is they will recognize a converged hero of sorts since the timelines converged into one and botw is at the end of all the merged timelines. Those are my prevailing theories anyways!
@@ragingfilthycasual One of the reasons I replayed Skyward Sword over the last few weeks was because I thought Fi would also somehow be included in ToTK! Midna has always been my favorite companion character, and I would CRY REAL TEARS if she was somehow in the game. I really love your theory!!!
@@marissaemmaa It has to be true! I mean everything in this game SCREAMA Midna and Fi returning. Everyone loves them. XD I played thru Skyward Sword myself again recently and then the hard mode version just to get better back story and lore going into TOK.
So much of this seems inspired by the various exploits people used in Breath of the Wild. It's amazing to see Nintendo use that to push the open world Zelda concept to it's full potential. Also, if you really can fuse weapons with absolutely anything, I can't wait to murder Octoroks with arrows fused with the guts of their brethren as revenge for the hundreds of rocks they sniped me with.
It is super cool to see them find inspiration for the game within the community! Also, LOLLL the Octorok part of this comment made me laugh out loud. Love it. I loathe Octoroks so much with their aimbot abilities!!

Octoroks literally snipe my ass from a mile away and I literally say "have an arrow bitch" and snipe there green tuft off their grassy hair and make them bald asf.Until I proceed to murder its entire family of 4 I hope they are not in ToTK or I'll go on a murder spree.
I'm in the market for a new Switch might as well get the Tears of the Kingdom OLED if I can. If not I'll get a standard OLED and the TOTK Pro controller.
So this pretty much solidified my decision on getting the Switch OLED. Yes I do still agree with you that they could have done more with the Zelda edition but combine it with the Pro Controller and its a set I definitely want. Looks like im spending more money I shouldnt hahaha
I wished weapons weren't so expendable, if i find a cool weapon i want to keep it, no weapons in Hyrule are tempered?, really?. Thankfully if you play on PC with mods you can make it unbreakable.
The durability of the weapons was always frustrating for me in Breath of the Wild!! I’m very curious to see how it’ll be handled in Tears of the Kingdom! Maybe SOME weapons will last?? At least I hope so LOL!
I've wondered for a while if rebuilding the Master Sword would turn it into a completely new weapon to represent the new age of Zelda. Maybe that weapon will be unbreakable.
