Thank you, Father Chris! It makes me sad that you keep getting rude letters when you’re one of the few that’s actually speaking the truth and teaching true Catholicism. We need more catholic priests like you!! We all love you and we will continue to pray for you! May God bless you and may our Blessed Mother protect you always! ❤️

Thank you for this talk on Evolution: What the Church Actually Teaches, Fr. Chris. So grateful for taking much of your time to research so as to give us a clear and right understanding of our faith and what we believe. “All truth comes from God.” This is the truth to defend our church and the surest way to our salvation. We make things so complicated, twisted them and we get lost away from the TRUTH. Jesus, have mercy on us and the whole world.

I am a Catholic, a geologist, and a paleontologist. I have had to deal with creationists and atheists constantly in my life and honestly both sides are blind and wrong because they won't sit down with an open mind and compare notes. The Bible is correct in that the earth was created in 6 days, and the geologic timeline of billions of years is correct. How? Time is relative. Gravity distorts time, and time is relative to the point of view of the observer. Genesis is observing events from the point of view of someone on Earth, with the time scale from the origin of the universe. As space stretched from the "Big Bang" as it is called, time was distorted along that expanding universe. For an example of this in our modern times, the space time the satellite system you are using for your GPS unit on your cellphone is slightly different from the one on your watch with the one in space being ahead by fractions of a second. Likewise on a record the outer part of the record and the center of a record (or cd or other wheel) is making the same number of rotations, but because you now have a greater distance to travel in the same time the outer part of the disk is moving faster than the center. And as we know the universe is expanding due to the observed action of red shift between galaxies, time and space are warped on a massive scale. If you want a more detailed explanation on the geologic timeline and how it works with Genesis, feel free to reply because I already have a 9 page paper on it as a guideline for how it is the same story.

If you want links to the professor who worked out the math of how it was 6 days from the point of view of the Big Bang then let me know and I'll try to find his name again. Also in the text are links to geologic websites as one of the biggest problems with this video (beyond the fact that he attempts to throw out comparative vertebrate anatomy) is that geology is an even longer history than life on earth which we can measure.

My education included graduate level work in ichnofossils, macroevolution, invertebrate and vertebrate paleontology, comparative vertebrate anatomy, dinosaur focused paleontology, and I do educational work primarily focused on the dinosaurs and other Mesozoic animals of Appalachia. Am I currently employed as a paleontologist...no, but in this economy you get by how you can.

Thank you Father Chris! I have 3 boys and my sister has 4 boys and I don’t think that was a coincidence. I feel that we are supposed to raise pious Catholic men. This talk and all of the other ones are helping in giving real answers to our kids as topics arise. Please pray for us, we need all the help we can get. Thank you and may St Joseph be by your side to protect you as he protected Jesus and Mary.

Thank you Father for always sharing your clear, concise message of truth. I really enjoy your talks. I homeschooled my kids for three years and now they're in Catholic high school. We were just discussing evolution again! As required reading last year, my daughter had to read Darwin's Black Box as part of her Biology class. Clearly points out the many holes in Darwin's debunked theory. Parents should really consider homeschooling until at least 8th grade. It's one of the best, most rewarding experiences for my whole family. God bless you, Father Alar!

Great talk Father. I wonder if you would make a video addressing Creationism, specifically Hugh Owen from the Kolbe Center. Most Creationists I've come across are Protestant fundamentalists like Kent Hovind, but Hugh Owen gives a Catholic take and makes some good points on Catholic Theology being undermined by any form of evolution that is not micro evolution.
He also asserts that all Church Fathers and Doctors affirm a young earth.
I'm not sure what to make of all this especially if I include Intelligent Design theories ala Stephen C Meyer.
It'd be great if the Faithful could get some straight talk on Evolution, Intelligent Design and Creationism as it is applied to Catholic Theology.
    Thanks again.

Thank you Father Chris. I was born i the Catholic faith. My father was very pious and involved in the Church and eas the president of the Legio Maria.
My whole schooling was in a Catholic school with the Loreto nuns. However I have learned so much from your talks. I was born in Mauritius and moved to Australia when I was 31 in 1986. I discovered this channel about 2 years ago. Still have a lot of your talks to catch up on.

@@DivineMercy_Official Respectfully, no you didn’t. You went further than what the Church teaches and made comments about science that have not been proven. The Behemoth in the book of Job is in all probability a dinosaur. One understanding of this is that they lived alongside people and were extinct during the world wide flood of Noah.

It's interesting when Jesus Christ made the blind to see and the lame to walk -- or indeed brought the dead to life -- he didn't stretch that out to decades but effected it immediately with a word.
