I have this exact model and I absolutely love it. The tones are immense and the neck is a dream. The BEAD tuning works well but I've recently changed it back to standard tuning using standard 4 string string size - I was pleasantly surprised that the change worked well without the need for any setup adjustments.
Hey Andy. Thanks for the great review. I'm new to Warwick. I own a Streamer and previous thumb owner and Warwick fan. I'm learning so much about Warwick by watching as many videos of yours. It's really nice to see what they've done to Rockbass. Building more creature comforts into a more affordable instrument. That's a really nice option. I personally wouldn't consider the previous ones now for what they've done to the new ones. Keep up the good work on keeping us updated on these "beasts of thunder". 🤟😎🤟🎸
Looks like a solid bass, but I genuinely think Warwick is behind the times with this stuff. Other companies like Dingwall and Ibanez have been leading the way with 37 inch scale 5 and 6 strings. Warwick? 34 inch scale 5's and 6's. Their "sub contra" basses like this Taranis, and Dark Lord are 35 inch scales. I have an Ibanez from the 90's that has the same scale length. There's nothing here that feels groundbreaking or inspired. It just feels, behind the times. Taranis is a pretty sick name, but really a name like that should be reserved for something that is more special than a standard 5 string scale length (for many but not Warwick) in a 4 string. It should be a 36 or 37 inch made for the kind of extended range prog/djent players that want Dingwall lengths in a 4 string body, with those Warwick sounds (which are admittedly great). I'd really love to see Warwick innovate. Give us something the market doesn't already have in droves.
It s a very great sounding RB Corvette! I hope possible to make a video abaut a RB Vampyre dark lord. Im would be very interested in the super low F#-B-E-A tuning bass whatthe warwicks offer.
Hi there, thanks for your question! You can tell them easily apart by the following factors. First, they come with a copper shielded electronics compartment, brass-titanium frets (for the fretted versions) and our article codes for the new models start with “WRB” followed by numbers instead of the former “RBA” (notice that some dealers use their own article codes that do not match ours). If your online shop of choice does not clearly specify these specs or maybe didn't update them since their last delivery from us, you can contact their customer support to make sure before you buy. Hope this was helpful.
Lean and mean! Nice to see you doing the Warwick vids again Andy.
This is the review i was waiting for. Cant wait for the new rockbasses to be in stock!!!
any guess when this will be?
@ Thomann EU says 8-10 weeks
Glad to see the Rockbass line getting a revamp/upgrade. Hopefully there will be some fretless 5-string Corvettes in the mix as well.
ANDY IS BACK. Such a good feeling seeing this.

Where is the Vampyre Rockbass?
Will the Corvette Multi-scale Rockbass model be a part of this new line?
Make new vids please! We need more Corvettes!
When is the new rockbass vampyre releasing?

What about a 5 string version?
Guys, how's about sorting out your stock levels? Its ridiculous that 5-strng Starbasses aren't available until next year!
How can we tell the new upgraded version of this bass to the older versions?
Meaning when looking on line, what do we look for? Made in 2024?
