Love your brilliant videos. A group of us who worked in London transport used to do trips like this every year on public transport in Scotland. We covered nearly every part of the Highlands, including Orkney and Outer Hebridean Islands, including Cape Wrath, even being rescued by the lighthouse keeper, but that's a whole other story. The post buses were wonderful, taking you off the beaten track where normal buses didn't go. Seeing your wonderful videos brings back so many happy memories. Keep them going !!!!!!
I love the Claonaig - Lochranza ferry. Short and sweet but different every time. Took my grandkids on it last year (Brodick ferry wasn’t running due to COVID crewing issues) and they enjoyed it as well. Great seeing your travels (especially in Scotland) Keep up the great work.
Hi Scott, fellow creator and new subscriber here. Really enjoying your videos, I found you on the Hebridean Air one which I was researching for my own trip next week! All the best
I just cannot get over the outstanding views in Scotland and the various islands. I can only imagine the geological upheavals that took place when the earth was young! No place to be around then!
I have to say that Scotland is one of if not the most picturesque countries in the world. Full of stunning scenery, amazing towns and villages. And that from a Sassenach.
Keep doing what you are doing...The vlogs are simply wonderful, and thank you for showing me areas which I will never visit. Safe travels. All the best.
Well I thoroughly enjoyed this race against the clock, so to speak. And how else could I ever hope to visit some of those beautiful villages, and surrounding countryside. I shall continue to enjoy your channel Scott. Enjoy your commentary, and letting me inside your head as you mull over problems that crop up. You enjoy what you do, and I enjoy your efforts!
Wow a First Bus once every 5 minutes during COVID? I had to rewind and listen to that again as i thought i was hearing things. Certainly not in my part of Glasgow (ever), but don't get me started about First Bus...lol.
MV Caledonian Isles should have been replaced on the Ardrossan-Brodick sailing by now, but still sailing back and forth along with the previous vessel on the service, MV Isle of Arran, during the summer months. Great to see my home town, Ardrossan,, well, the harbour anyway. Excellent vlog.
enjoying your videos. Only ever done by bike but a good one to try: to Ardrossan, to Brodick, to Lochranza, to Clainoag, to Kennacraig, to islay (arrival port essential for next leg) to Jura, and return by different routes as the fancy takes you! The challenge by bike was to get from Brodick to LochR in about 50 mins to catch a ferry to Kintyre...just!
LOVE THESE VIDIOS, thanks for sharing them with us , there great , love traveling around the highlands so its nice to see you in places ive also visited.. keep up the good work..
You are lucky. My ferry to Lochranza was cancelled at the last minute and I had to drive to Ardrossan in order to get to my hotel on Arran on time (or even on the right day)!
Love doing the Brodick and Lochranza ferry trips, so relaxing. During Covid you didn't need to wear masks on the outside deck but on the Lochranza ferry the captain threatened me with police if I didn't wear one outside!!
Loving the Content Scott. Could you kindly provide a list of the legs and timetables or links to how you found the routes as it looks like a way to explore parts of Scotland never been before. Obviously if you don't wish to say the exact start or finish point sue to it being your home no worries. Thanks for any info you can provide.
Timetable Challenge #3 is down on paper. I just need the time and inclination to do it, as there's always the risk (admittedly small) I could end up stranded somewhere.
Lovely video and thank you for a lovely journey. I can't wait until I can come back to Scotland and go exploring again I'm surprised capacity on public transport is still being limited though as down here in London our buses are now at full capacity, but I suspect that's just London. Excellent work though
Enjoy the trip. Have hada holiday in the the Highlands using buses ferry and trains. One year staying in inverness this trip was train to Kyle of Lochalsh bus to Uig ferry station Tarbert bus to Stornoway ferry to Ullapool coach to Inverness All in 1 day Another for a close shave was traveing from Inverness to Lochmaddy
Looking at older videos of yours, and notice a comment from a new subscriber to your chamnel someone called Steve Marsh have you heard of him 😂 loved this , always inspires me
Another brilliant video I think a shorter "ferry " service that could be a contenteder there is a little boat that does regular crossing of the River Thames between ham house to Twickenham on the other side of the river
Enjoyed your video, reminded me of happy holidays in Scotland; spent 2 weeks near Inveraray once. Just wondered if the Woolwich ferry in London is shorter?...
I believe there is a ferry that operates across the Manchester ship canal. I forget where exactly but the reason it exists is to do with a weird law that means they cannot legally get rid of any of the crossings on the canal (the ferry being one) so I would think that that would be shorter
An answer to an old question, yes, keep doing the timetable challenges. Must’ve been a little hairy, especially at the bus stop with the wrong timetable!!
Isn't the word Bus short for omnibus usually an automotive vehicle designed to carry a large number of passengers, this is similar to the argument against the guys at the national railway museum for calling all locomotives trains whether they have wagons or coaches or not, but anything with a white front light and a red tail light is considered to be a train so that includes a light engine.

I'm just randomly looking at older videos and look who is on the comments...look at where you both are now !
Liked this challenge better than no 1. Stunning scenery, and what made all the better it was dry.
I just cannot get over the outstanding views in Scotland and the various islands. I can only imagine the geological upheavals that took place when the earth was young! No place to be around then!

The views of the hills were phenomenal. Great work.
Very good video enjoyed this, thank you for sharing Scott

3rd leg of my 4 leg timetable challenge marathon (started at leg 4)...this was a gem, the scenery on the long bus leg was a bit special.
these trips are fun!...... do another one....
Good effort. Also good to see the channel growing nicely!
Excellent! More Timetable Challenges please. I only wish my bus pass was valid in Scotland.
Superb! Very enjoyable. Many thanks.
Nice one. Scott 👍👍😀

Love the channel. 🎉❤. So amazing to see your travels. Thanks regards Jamie.
Ps one day would love to get your autograph
Just watched thank you so much we love to go to Scotland
There are ferries across the Manchester Ship Canal which could be shorter, see the Tom Scott video on Manchester Ship Canal crossings
Great video and channel, have subscribed 👍

Wow beautiful landscape. Awesome do more!

Excellent work though
Hammerton's Ferry in West London covers 105 metres and is definitely shorter. Whether you count it as a 'proper' ferry is a different question
Enjoy the trip.
Have hada holiday in the the Highlands using buses ferry and trains.

Wonderful road trip!
I'm here because I thought it was the Tarbert/Killimer ferry! Still interesting though. :-)
Looking at older videos of yours, and notice a comment from a new subscriber to your chamnel someone called Steve Marsh have you heard of him 😂 loved this , always inspires me
Great trip . A part of Scotland I need to explore
Good timetable challenge!
There used to be a ferry across the harbour in Weymouth which was very short.
Another brilliant video I think a shorter "ferry " service that could be a contenteder there is a little boat that does regular crossing of the
River Thames between ham house to Twickenham on the other side of the river
Love your videos. It's inspiring me to do my own !
Maybe West Cowes to East Cowes on the isle of wight. A very short crossing.
Enjoyed your video, reminded me of happy holidays in Scotland; spent 2 weeks near Inveraray once. Just wondered if the Woolwich ferry in London is shorter?...
Short ferry crossing...Hulmes Ferry over the Manchester Ship Canal. Max personage 4
Good video, about to get my buspass, lol.were u able to use it on any ferries, keep the videos coming.
The Reedham car and foot ferry in Norfolk is about 50m, it's the shortest I know.
i love it

An answer to an old question, yes, keep doing the timetable challenges. Must’ve been a little hairy, especially at the bus stop with the wrong timetable!!
Don't know if the Tilbury ferry to Gravesend is shorter. Though I think the Reedham chain ferry in Norfolk is the shortest.
You were brave doing that route , I'm guessing bad weather could really snooker things , did you have a plan B just in case it all went wrong ?
Goat Fell 874m... strange, normally goats are very good at climbing
Actually got home from vacation there yesterday
Thats right infront of my home. Lol
King Harry Ferry in Cornwall???
Good video, note some dialogue drop out at @13:26
If the ⛵ went down 😂😂
Sandbanks Poole to studland Dorset
I think the ferry cost £10.50
Just to confirm why do you keeping referring to coaches as buses they are totally different
They are run as buses you can get on without a prebooked reservation and they stop at bus stops
Love the video but hated the music. I would rather hear the surroundings sound.
Prices?
Brave of you to travel through Yoker when you've got no business being in Yoker
❤luv the video but awful monotonous music
Would rather hear your commentary than that f'ing awful "music"
