I didn't realized it until now. Kumander Daot and Kulas episode tends to be very entertaining and they are a very good duo. Just like Chris and Natsuki on Abroad in Japan.
I just LOVE your narrations! ("I don't know where Kulas is taking me! My tour guide is the most DAOT human.") LOL I always enjoy when you two travel together. You're like hilarious , crazy brothers. I can't get enough of you guys!. It's also good you're traveling together on your bikes. Kyle's BALD tires are scary. I feel better that you're watching after him!
Thank you Kumander and Kulas for featuring our home Province Aklan.Hoping you can feature some side trips in other beaches, natural spring and rivers and falls in Aklan province.
Some beautiful adventures must come to an end with great company in order to create more new beautiful adventures in the near future with the people we close with 👍🏾👏🏾💞 Good Vibes KD
Back before they improved the Caticlan airport, if you were going to Boracay you flew to Kalibo then took a bus or taxi to Caticlan. That coastal road from Kalibo to Caticlan is quite beautiful.
Enjoyed watching this vlog very much, KD. The island looks so beautiful. Wish they have bridges connecting the major islands in the Philippines so it will be easier to travel there. I didn’t think the two of you would eat the woodworm, but you guys dis it!😮😅 Love the fact that you found your “twin”. I see a little bit of resemblance! 😆😂 Take care and God bless.🥰
Kumander, have you thought about featuring Filipino bands as your music? There are some really good Math Rock bands there that would fit your panoramic shots I think.
Kumander and Kulas theme song should be farewell by Raymond Lauchengco and there's some tears while the song is playing and they are saying goodbye to each other
My gulay! You two have seen more of Panay Island than me, and I'm a Capizeña. 😂😂😂 Those mangroves are beautiful, but must be relatively new. I've not heard of them before. Safe travels! Btw: notes on pronounciation. Most Filipino words stress down at the end. NOT usually in the middle syllable. So it's not "Ta-Laaah-ba," it's "Ta-Luh-Bà." And not "Pah-kowh", it's "Pâ-Kò." Even the way to say Kulas' name isn't "KOO-Las," it's "Kù-LAS."
Yes, Anselmo. Not a common name here, but I've come across it before. And funny that the guy's caricature looks a bit like you too. 😁 Those white boulders must be limestone? And wow, those gorges. 😯 Looking forward to your future northern Luzon trip. Try to look into Kaparkan Falls in Abra which is probably the most unique falls here. I saw it featured before in a tv show. You can't go there by yourself though. You need to be brought there by a DOT truck so you have to coordinate with them first. And I believe you can only stay at the falls for 4 hours. :)
I watched this vlog and I remember another vlogger just did it one on the same place eating these woodworm a months back, it was another Canadian now I am waiting for the other Canadian Philipino one too.
Waiting for Kumander Daot and Kulas to feature some provinces of Aklan esp. Nabas there's a lot of nature that can be seen natural spring in Laserna, Nabas Windmill, God the Father in brgy. Unidos and Aron beach resort which is located in Sitio Tabon.

Hi Kumander, it's in the news that an American YT vlogger was kidnapped in Sibuco, Zambo Del Norte. I believe you've been there. Are you concerned at all especially since you and Kulas do travel to Basilan and other parts of Southern Mindanao? Or maybe you know more about the circumstances of the kidnapping?
Under this polvoronic govt this terror would surely happen...e wala ng batas batas...ifear for their safety sa totoo lang after palayain ang mga convicted addicts pati na yung nakakulong anong klaseng gob.ito mismong mga kapulisan di mo na pagtiwalaan sample yung atrocities nila sa KJOC. Hello Bobby, thanks for asking this question respectfully 🙂 this answer will be a little bit long because I want to explain things well - what I say is the result of the years I've spent here, and asking others who know these areas well... So I don't want to speculate too much, because we don't know who took him or where he was taken (I have friends in Sulu who are upset that the media has immediately stated "towards Basilan or Sulu" - Sulu was declared Abu Sayyef free last year (and is enjoying peace right now!) and Sibuco has a dark past of its own)... But I have watched the American's videos (I am reluctant to call him a YT vlogger as I feel using that term is a bit misleading, he was a guy who live streamed a lot and occasionally uploaded videos from where he was living), it seems that he lived in his in-laws house by the beach, some of the other videos I have watched I won't comment on but I think it is worth watching them to gain a bit of understanding of his personality, environment and life. If we will travel to areas in the Sulu archipelago (and some other parts of the BARMM) we will usually coordinate with local tourism offices at the very least... There are some places where this makes things much smoother. That's not only in parts of Mindanao though, sometimes I'll coordinate with tourism offices in Luzon and the Visayas too. I also think that there is a big difference between travelling for a few days to a place and living there for a few months. And especially doing any kind of business, that has its own pitfalls. Speaking of that... Before I went to Basilan for the first time in 2022, I looked up a list of Abu Sayyef kidnappings. And apart from those taken from sailboats and fishing boats, they were not of random tourists. They were targeted, and planned, and I could find a motive for every single one (and no, it was not just being a white foreigner in a certain place. It was more to do with what they were up to there - the business they were engaged in, especially). So I made the decision to go to Basilan, as I did not fit that profile. I wonder if we will find a similar motive for this incident too. (Though again, I do not know if it is ASG who did it. It might not be them. Sibuco has a history of its own when it comes to this) I did ride through Siocon, Sirawai and Sibuco - I didn't spend much time, I was just riding through fairly quickly during daylight. I took the same precautions that I always will. But I could feel the vibe of isolation there - that although life was going as normal as it usually does, I felt like I should not spend too long there. So I didn't. I've had that feeling in a few places, including in Luzon and the Visayas, it comes with experience travelling I think. But in my two weeks around the Zamboanga peninsula, parts of that coast were the only places I felt uneasy. And I knew that it would be fine to therefore just ride through, incognito, as hundreds of others do every day. So that's what I did. Again, I've never heard of people being randomly pulled from motorbikes. But it is a good reminder to always use a bit of caution and not to be too careless - and that's a good thing everywhere! One final point - I hope that people will not generalize "Mindanao", or even "Zamboanga", because of this. The majority of Mindanao is as safe as the rest of the Philippines, and much of the Zamboanga peninsula is fine! We do not avoid travel to all of Manila because parts of Tondo are unsafe, we don't think there might be spillover from the gangs in certain places, and we should realise that this is also the case in Mindanao. Anyway they ride speedboats, and Negros is closer than Davao, for example! But I will always remember the words of someone in Pikit (another place that I only advise you visit with local contacts!) - 300 metres is a long way here! That is how small the spillover often is.
@@KumanderDaot Thanks Kumander for the comprehensive reply. My concern was the same as yours especially now that the Philippines is starting to get more exposure due to the work of yourself and other prominent vloggers that has made the Philippines a known and ideal homebase for digital nomads. I hope the case is resolved shortly as well :)
@@bobbyestebanlar310the guy is a bit shady though.. I didn't watch much of his stream but I got a glimpsed of it he kept saying he felt unsafe and in a Red zone yet didn't leave the place.. as far as I know from the news he married a Muslim woman so he might be converted to be married. I wonder why his wife and family didn't do any precautions about his safety. I hope my instincts isn't right that he isn't " pakawala" by US government otherwise US military will intervine in that area to destroy the peace of the place. It's been so long never heard any kidnapping and terrorist from that area and people there thriving to live in Peace. When it comes to US they can't be trusted how many countries they destroyed for intervention and God forbid they didn't used their citizen as a bait.
@@bobbyestebanlar310 absolutely, I really hope that this will be resolved, it has been many many years since the last kidnapping, and I have seen so many places move towards peace.
