An interesting bag, but the "nah mate" for me is the feeble-looking zipper holding everything in. Another minus for me is the pocket flap over the main compartment. I'd be cutting that flap out before I removed the tags. But the stealth look does a relatively good job at hiding that it is a camera bag, so there's that. Thanks for sharing.

Does it still stand when fully packed? My full sized bags always fall forward when fully packed. Cheers Matt 👍🏻

Thanks. It looks like a nice modular pack. Holds an impressive amount of gear and a lot of weight. That being said , a long day on the trail could fatigue one’s back. This is where a hip belt pack would more beneficial. I say this as I am a backpacker that use to carry in-carry out everything on my back (tent, water, change of clothes, etc.) Hip belts help distribute the weight.i do like the back entry to access gear, helps keep from getting your back muddy.

Hey Matt, where did you purchase this in Australia? I can't find the 25L version on Amazon AU!

Looks good. I’d consider if I didn’t have a new bag already I bought last year. I bought a lowepro 450 if I remember correctly. Pretty similar. I do wish it had a little more shoulder strap padding. I’m often carrying my Z9 and 180-600 along with a few other lenses. The built in rain cover that pulls out of the bottom is also super cool. I shoot a lot of swim meets and they go on rain or shine.

Hello Matt, I must have 10+ bags of all sort put never find one that is just right. As I do have some major chest and back issues. I normally get the wife to carry them. She is starting to say I take to much white me...

these types of camera bags i prefer. that is no direct access for potential thievery and doubly secure gear against the back.

Nice bag with some unique features! Photo bags for me are very much like finding good shoes or pants... very subjective and needs to be an ideal fit. My current favorites are Nomatic's McKinnon 25L, Think Tank's BackLight Sprint 18L, and WANDRD's Rogue Sling 9L. Honorable mention for the McKinnon Sling 8L.
I have two other bags up for sale, I'm trying my best to consolidate & minimize. Too easy to collect photo bags 😆

I think that is a great call that bags are very subjective. :)

Which card holder / reader are you using?

    But it's not orange! ;)
I bought the WNDRD PRVKE 21L few months ago but haven't used it yet! Of course, it's orange! PD backpack is still serving me well for now while using the Nomatic Peter M LUMA 9L sling in rust colour for only light carry.
BTW, awesome video of the bag. Like many, I wonder how strong the zipper is holding the clamshell together.

Not me, but thanks for a great review. I just can't put all that weight on my back, comfy or not. I prefer the ThinkTank Airport International roller, and when I have to use a backpack, I like the LowePro FastPack Pro 250. For Smaller things, the ThinkTank Press Pass Sling.

Hey Matty, mate, do you have any freelance work available, I really need a hard drive to back things up and to help me move back on track smoother and faster, do you or anyone you know have any work available? Or do you have any spare hard drive you don't need? I live in Malaysia tho

Practically no quick access. The laptop magnet could be too close to SD cards plugged into the laptop.

I don’t know that I would trust a single zipper to contain all the stuff that you loaded in the bag. Would be nice if there was an optional strap that could secure the bag closed.

All the weight on that one zipper. No thanks :)

Depends on the zipper 🙂 Nomatic's 25L is rock solid. Not having to rotate straps around to the front is a huge plus for access.

With all that weight, the pack needs a proper padded hip belt to take the weight of your shoulders.

It looks miserable to have to access your gear in the field as you have to open everything. $10k in camera gear resting on a zipper? Zippers usually aren't that robust in my experience. Putting your laptop in that external flap that you have to open every time you get a lens, seems like a recipe for a damaged lap top. No waste straps to ease the load on your shoulders during a long hike. In addition to a tripod, I might need to carry a water bottle or two depending on where I am going as well as a rolled up emergency rain jacket.
I have a Mindshift backpack that is superior to this in just about every way.

with so much choice, not for me. I'm surprised you're even doing this... your photography is just so good that I'd hate to see you becoming like all those others that try to cover everything. Sorry, but just so you know.

Who the hell designed that, one zipper holing it together 😅 you would think with so many decent camera bags on the market, the blueprint is there 🤦🏻‍♀️

I don't own any of their other products, but these clips have worked well for 4-5 years. No complaints.
