Hasbro Pulse is Updated, Maybe not Improved

- At the end of the week, Hasbro updated its Pulse website. The redesign seems to be tailored for mobile visitors but the desktop experience is lacking so far. Mega Jay Retro and I take a stroll through the site and find some interesting still to be addressed issues.

Hasbro needs to implement a “purchase history” showing figures that we’ve already bought, sort of like Amazon. And they removed the favorites page???
I’m not gonna lie, removing the favorites alone give me no use for the app lol
That would be helpful. Kinda wish they'd ask for feedback from customers on how to enhance it instead of messing up things that worked and still not including what we've wanted.
I had to re-register like I was a new user. Wasn’t please, but did go ahead and pre-order the new 86 Optimus Prime. 👍

Ross used to be a gold mine until content creators told the scalpers what collectors wanted and where to get it cheap🤣🤣🤣.
I logged in over the weekend, and honestly I don't like it, but it is what it is.
The old site had a few issues but the new one is far worse.
Yes, it definitely needs some tweaks quickly.

The aesthetics is one thing for sure; that's gonna take time to get used to. Same thing happened when BBTS changed their site a couple years ago. My biggest complaint is the functionality. I went to the Order History section of the site and noticed that they were truncating the names of the products. I don't know about most people, but for me, I'm always in that section managing my orders, checking delivery dates, updating payment options, etc. Anyway, I noticed that some of the names of items were cut off. For products with long prefixes, this is a problem. For instance, what is "G.I. Joe Classified Series Retro Cardback Cobra Tr"? I'm sure some of you could instantly figure it out but I'm a little slower on the uptake at times 😂, so this really bothered me. In a section that was supposed to provide information, it actually hindered that process. In addition, a lot of the fonts in that section are similarly colored and sized so it's a little slower trying to find the information you're looking for.
Now, not everything was bad. The thumbnail pictures, while probably a little too large, do have a nice feature where you can flip through all of the images going left and right. The old site had a vertical scroll for pics but it would get wonky when you clicked on them with the zoom function, at times obscuring parts of the image.
One other negative I just remembered. Every time I go to the site, it asks me to confirm that I'm visiting the United States version of the site. I don't know what's going on here. Maybe its a cookies thing. We'll see.
I'm disappointed that "where are you?" was one of the early holdovers from the original site!

Did they change that? I haven't checked that yet, but I've been giving them suggestions for years on how to make the order history better and more use friendly. I wonder if they took any of my advice.
I just checked and they DID listen to me for once! Now if they'd just listen to me on surveys and polls and on my QC suggestions, they'd be a decent company! 🙂
I’m gonna have to go to my local Ollie’s. I hope I can find some nice figures there. Also, I bought that Hawkeye in store the first time I saw it for $50. I was afraid I’d never find it again, boy was I wrong.
I thought all of that stuff was gonna be hard to find. Crazy how it's all over Ollie's.
I cannot update my method of Payment on my pre-orders. I am so angry!

I heard about this two days ago and had to re-set my password and lost paypal. I heard spme people still have it on their apps, though. Why no heads-up from Hasbro Pulse? Why no video on TH-cam? They do not put fans first.
I wonder if they're waiting before the changes and updates are fully fixed and didn't want to miss out on purchases with the site dark so long?
Nope way to many things clearly missing from Classified alone. Need to fix. Hasbro on the new retro cards even though all same order charged me 3 times the purpuse when place preorders is to keep over $100 so can get 6 months interest free to pay off never been a problem is same order if shipping same time to charge all at once. After saw that emailed Hasbro to cancel order and refund the payments which did. Will just get them from another site unless hasbro provides them on site again
The search and sort feature on the order page still stinks. I just like to look what I have on preorder and see what has not been fulfilled. It still is not accurate when you use filters and they should have pictures associated or at least what it is before you need to click on an order number.
Totally agree about the filters. Really poorly done. Also, I noticed some of the pictures in each order were missing as well, but in others, they appeared, so not sure what's going on there.
Right! For the most part folks don't default want to see what they've already gotten on an order page. They want to know what's yet to come.
They updated the shop, but not the FAQ. One of the things that really bothers me about this change is that they removed PayPal as an option for Payment Method. The FAQ still says that it's an accepted form of payment, but you can't add the account back and you have to use a credit card. I'm really hoping they fix that.
That's not great for PayPal users!
Paypal still option if go threw checkout if remove that would order everything elsewhere. I use paupal credit to extreme 6 months interest free to pay off in needed so don't have to worry about figures dropping on the wrong day
Finally someone talking about these. Don't like at all the "updates". They removed the ❤liked section section 🫤
I wonder what prompted the change? Didn't seem like many folks disliked the old version.

I noticed that as well, it’s irritating. It was so much easier to just go to my favorites tab to check if anything was in stock, rather than just having to navigate the entire thing.

At first, I was like did this website got hacked? 😂…. with the resetting the password and everything.
It is a very different look for it and that's another reason why they probably should have announced the change.
I very much preferred how the old website was before. This new update had me repeatedly having to request a new login code and changing of my password before it finally worked. Plus I also liked the old setup better.

Why the hell is it so dark I’m not a Vampire 🧛 an I don’t have dark vision, I had to change my password was the reason it was getting hung up in the app they should have given the choice if you want it so dark, I collect comics dose great data base archive

The app is not updated. It is downright broken. Wishlist, Orders, GONE. More crashes, increased customer limits encouraging scalping and bots, agonizing performance. It’s shameful. It’s infuriating. It’s unbecoming.
I hope I can get used to it soon. It's very different!

They don't want our money. Hasbro has been terrible thr past few weeks. Preoders being ousted back over and over amd over then releasing them early lolol.
They need to change the background back to white…not a fan
Yeah, I thought that was generally considered a bad decision these days. Black makes it harder to read text than white backgrounds.

They screwed up, as usual. Too dark themed, too few figures shown per page, floating pre-order bar overlay is irritating, etc., etc.. Change for the sake of change is stupid. Hasbro hires idiots, they really do. My view of them has dimmed considerably in the last few months, after a good start in early 2024, and this isn't helping.
I've worked with companies where they randomly changed the site design. They think it helps to keep things fresh. It was a bad choice, but no one was an idiot per se.
@@LylesFigureFiles I'd argue there are lots of idiots running Hasbro, as evidenced by the idiotic things they do (QC issues, RD issues, et0.c). Also, I'd argue that "keeping it fresh" isn't really a good reason to make changes, especially when those changes make things worse instead of better. If it improves things in some way, then sure.
@@LylesFigureFiles We'll have to agree to disagree. Maybe we can agree that no idiots were involved in the website design - maybe they just thought it looked better that way. But when it comes to R&D and QC, absolutely they hire idiots. Or people who just don't care. Take your pick but it's one or the other. Or both.
If you guys are looking for people to blame, they are always at the top. The C level execs are constantly cutting spending so they can give themselves bigger bonuses and make investors happy. The employees in QC are probably doing the work of 5 people and getting chewed out every time something goes wrong. This is how it works in nearly all large companies.
@@vittorioe They just don't care. The R&D mistakes prove that beyond question. It's just "how fast can we churn out more crap and still charge for it?". I agree, the idiots are the C-level execs. But that doesn't excuse the egregious failures of the R&D and QC departments. Not giving Bullseye a gun, just an empty holster? Giving Elektra sais that are made of bubble gum rubber and all permanently bent out of shape? Making Firelord's hands too weak to hold his fire staff in most poses? Making it almost impossible for Super-Adaptoid to get his shield on his arm properly? Making Whiplash (Blacklash, actually) where he can't hold his bubble-gum soft, heavy whip in one hand? I can go on and on forever.
A pointless change. Don't fix what isn't broken.
