    I genuinely think Ghetts is the most skilled rapper on the planet right now, not just in the UK.

      Facts. Nearly 20 years of under appreciation. First daily duppy ‘how many times has a man said I’m shit, just cus he don’t know what I said’. True words

      @@stefan42089 nah Ghetts didn’t get this good until the last album rollout. He even said it himself. Before he was just a sheller, but nowadays his talent has leveled up like crazy

      This good yes, still elite level before but the cadence wasn’t as smooth. Lyrics were still levels from early. Ghetto gospel was an amazing body of work. Still under appreciated at that time

      @@stefan42089 for me personally, I always respected his ability, but his style of grime music never really appealed to me. But yeah he’s always been a legend, can’t deny.

    YES, he is that good, and then some!
    Love seeing new ears find Ghetts - great reaction 😅
    Ghetts is world class. As good as anybody you can think of, and what makes him the GOAT imho is his unorthodox flows, crazy lyricism, and off-the-wall creativity. He’s in a lane of his own.
    Enjoy the rabbit hole!
    Next try his Fire in the booth, and do his tracks:

    The grime scene wasn't too accepting towards him so the garage scene (garage music) was where he started taking off (alienate, alien, spaceship)

    This guy is a UK legend. Been around since the beginning of grime back in the early 2000's and has always been fire. His flows are so different from any other rapper, he finds pockets to slide into and his voice just elevates his presence on a track. Been listening to him for around 17 years and cannot say I've ever heard a bad song by him.

    Hi everyone! I wanted to talk about the beginning of the song, which you didn't really like. the grime scene tries to alienate him, but the he turns it around, assumes his "alien" status, hence the spaceship reference. You can summarise it by "you call me an alien? Youre damn right! And I'm about to take off!" Telling us at the same time he's about to murder that microphone. It's briliant :)

    Ghetts and his alter-ego Ghetto is a UK rap legend. No, he's a poet that raps!
    It's him that GRM Daily asked to do this special Daily Duppy to celebrate their 5 million subs.
    He didn't start out slow on this.
    "The Grime scene (UK rap from late 90's to mid 2010's. There were certain rappers he didn't get on with) tried to ALIENATE ME, the garage (same as the US for cars) just called, said the SPACESHIP'S ready."
    Check his Fire in the Booth pt3 (Fire in the Desert). Tbh, you can check anything he does and be impressed.

    • @HIM_066xMusicReactions
      @HIM_066xMusicReactions  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For me the start was a lil odd because of the part where he said "the garage just called". First listen it didn't make sense because we use the word garage differently in the US. When we get our cars repaired, we take them to the auto/body-shop or just shop. Basically, US garage=UK car park

    • @HIM_066xMusicReactions
      @HIM_066xMusicReactions  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'll def check out the fire in the booth -- thanks for the recommendation 🙏🏾

    • @richardweekes9130
      @richardweekes9130 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HIM_066xMusicReactions There's no difference. A garage where we put our cars in. The fortunate have them as part of the house, and others rent them. A car park is a place to temporarily leave your car, outside a supermarket or hospital, or to say in a town centre etc.
      We often call a mechanic's workshop a mechanic's garage.

    Grime and garage are 2 different genres of music in the uk as well so it could be a double saying grime tried to alienate him but it’s ok he will just drop a garage track. I might be reaching with that but that’s how I’ve always taken it alongside the spaceship and alienate scheme
